1. How did you attract / address your target audience?
2. Front Cover I used different shapes to create a childish and fun look. I also made them bright colours to help make this effect stronger. I added a slogan to the magazine which states that this magazine was made for ‘teens.’ I have photographed girls which are around the age of the target audience and I have dressed and positioned them in appropriate ways. I used funky fonts and added effects to them to create this young look. I used well known, popular artists which fit this music genre which would help to attract my target audience. I used different ways to inform people what was in the magazine. This is an example of this as instead of writing it normally I added an effect which relates to what is written inside.
3. Contents Page I carried on with the mise en scene that was used on the front cover. I added shapes to the page and positioned them around the page numbers which have relevance to the front cover. This helps the target audience to identify what is where. I used an arrow to follow the effect that this had on the front cover as it links the content to the photograph. I used basic fonts on this page and although I used short paragraphs under the headlines, I kept the text simple so that the audience that it is made for are able to understand what is being said but informing them well. I added photographs to the bottom of the page to interest and attract the reader more. I made the images look fun by positioning them in different ways and getting the girls to pose in specific ways.
4. Double Page Spread I used a lot of photographs on my double page spread as my target audience are more likely to be interested in photographs rather than text. I made the ‘H’ bold to make the page look more interested and fun. I made the quotes colourful and bold as the reader may not be interested in what is written but when they read them it could attract them more. The font used is quite small which could put of the reader as it looks quite boring, but as I have done it as an interview everything is broke up into clearer sections making it easier to read. I used different shapes to maintain the mise en scene and bring more colour to the page. I positioned the photographs in the style of the previous page as I thought this had a good effect to the page.
