A young boy named Salim has gone missing after riding the London Eye Ferris wheel. According to his family, Salim boarded the ride alone with a ticket given to him by a stranger. His cousins saw him enter a pod but he did not get off at the end of the ride. His distraught mother is pleading for any information on his whereabouts. Meanwhile, the police are urging the public to come forward with any information and questions are being asked about whether children should be allowed to ride unattended.

Salim, who is originally from Manchester, was visiting his family in London when
this shocking incident took place. According to his family, he rode the London
Eye alone as they only had one ticket. This ticket had been given to his cousins
by a stranger earlier in the day. Salim was seen boarding one of the London Eye
pods with several other members of the public. He is said to have travelled
once round on the wheel as his cousins watched on. There was nothing to
suggest anything was wrong until Salim did not return to the ground to meet
his family.

him. If anyone who is reading this knows where he might be, I am begging you to help us
find him!”
Kat – “We got the ticket from a stranger. I don’t know why he gave it to us and I did think it
was a bit weird but it seemed like such a waste to not use it and we didn’t want Salim to
miss out”
Salim’s family have been interviewed and are appealing to the public for any help or information
they can offer them.
“I just can’t believe this has happened to my poor little boy!” said Gloria, Salim’s mother, who
spoke through gushing tears to The Daily News. “I am desperate to find him. If anyone who is
reading this knows where he might be, I am begging you to help us find him!” “We got the ticket
from a stranger” said Salim’s cousin Kat. When asked why she had not been suspicious of this
man that they did not know Kat told the Daily News “I don’t know why he gave it to us and I did
think it was a bit weird but it seemed like such a waste to not use it and we didn’t want Salim to
miss out”. Salim’s younger cousin Ted was reluctant to speak us at all and gave us no comment.

The London Metropolitan Police have urged anyone with any information
which could lead to them finding Salim to get in contact with them
immediately. A representative from the police said “unsurprisingly, the family
are distraught. A young boy is missing and is potentially in danger”.
Questions on whether children should even be allowed to board the London
Eye without being accompanied by an adult will now have to be asked as it is
likely that had a parent been present, this awful tragedy may never have taken
place. Here at the Daily News we would like to remind our younger readers of
the importance of not talking to strangers.
