This is a growing company with a culture where people are valued.  This plant is growing as well – they had an expansion in 2008.  They are taking market share from the competition. This person will be the only Project Engineer on-site, responsible for a wide range of capital projects.  Will have a great resource in the hiring manager, who has a lot of project management experience.  The Project Engineer will have one direct report - a Designer/Draftsman.  Most projects will range up to $100K, but there will be some up to $500K.  Typically there will be about 6 projects going on, but can be up to 12.  Current projects include building platforms, boiler controls upgrade, and Security System upgrade.  Will also work with the Process Engineer on Process Improvements to minimize downtime. Your first year on the job will be helping to start up a new production line. You will obtain a breadth of experience here, and will have opportunities to work in different locations and functions.  The first year this person will work mostly in a manufacturing plant as the R&D Representative for the start up of a new product line. This person will be working alongside Process and Project Engineers making sure company achieves the desired final product. After the first year, this person will design and formulate new products and improve existing products. There won't be much benchwork in the first year, due to the new line start-up. Working with the Senior Management at the plant, develops and implements HR strategies and provides HR support for 300 total employees.  Provides counsel and solutions in the areas of management development, employee relations, union/management relations, compensation, resourcing, organization change & development, and training.  Proactively assesses the internal / external market for HR trends that may impact business and provides strategic input to management.  This position will also lead multiple projects, both locally and across the company.  This position has one direct report. This is a very successful site, with a good leadership team working toward the same goals.  The site is growing, adding 50%+ to their workforce in about 1.5 years.  The Hiring Manager is VERY GOOD.  Looking for someone who can move up in a couple years. Responsible for human resources for two nonunion plants in one location, totaling 800 people.  They have recently grown by 200 employees and plan to add 200 more in the second half of 2009.  Be a leader of change, communicating and motivating employees to embrace a new Continuous Improvement culture.  Be part of an initiative to improve succession planning.  Work with Corporate on planning, establishing objectives and policies.  Each site has one HR Representative that will report to the HR Manager.
