International Flavours and Fragrance (IFF)
IFF is a Global leader in the Flavour and Fragrance industry, serving the majority of well-known food and
perfume companies. It currently employs 5,600+ employees and has a $3 Billion sales base with 62 global
locations. IFF has been established for over 125 years.
Regional Operations Manager - EMEARegion 2007 - July 2015
Reporting to the Regional Operations Director with responsibility for managing all operations in the Turkish,
South African and Egyptian operations. Overall accountability for 250+ staff and manufacturing, safety,
logistic, continuous improvement, quality, purchase functionality.
Successfully designed and built a new $53 Million state of art manufacturing and creative centre in
Istanbul, This allowed company to capitalise on growing emerging market opportunity. Assignment
involved management of schedule, budget, recruitment, change management, and equipment selection
and installation. Project was completed on time (Jan 2015) and under budget.
Lead the closure programme for the Swedish manufacturing site to optimise supply chain network and
seek re-employment of staff. High people management skill, negotiation and issue resolution required.
80% of staff seeking reemployment attained positions and a $3.1 million operating cost was achieved
with no adverse customer effect.
Acted as a confidential sole company representative on developing a 10 year European supply network
study with established consultancy group to ensure business strategy is aligned. Study involved
extensive data collection and company capability. Study was completed and options presented to Board.
Main option was identified and adopted (Turkish manufacture)
Initiated change to recruitment process on Turkish site to reflect new major expansion and skill base
growth. Implemented selection, pre-testing and Lominger based interviewing. The last 6 recruitments
have been filled from well-established international companies with visible increased improvement
projects from previous experiences.
Designed, built and implemented a new patented product line within a new building UK site resulting in
product achieving 110% of expected volume.
International Flavours and Fragrance (IFF)
European Continuous Improvement Manager (Business Excellence) 2003 to 2007
Implemented a new CI programme to successfully improve all functional areas within UK and Irish sites.
World class A accreditation was achieved in planning and control and continuous improvement Oliver
Wight modules.
Continuous improvement toolbox with Sigma, DMAIC, VSM and lean components , position selection,
change management, training plan and external bench marking were all established and installed
Achieved customer on time results of 97% along with inventory accuracy of 98% and a quality reject rate
decrease of 56% YOY.
2. Bush Boake Allen (BBA) &International Flavours and Fragrance (IFF)
BBA was in the top three companies within the Flavour and Fragrance industry, serving the majority of well-
known food and perfume companies. It employed 3000+ staff and had a $2 Billion sales base with 42 global
locations with a head office in London. BBA was formed in 1862.
UK Integration Manager 2000- 2003
Required to take the lead role in the UK multi-site sector integration following the $2 Billion Global
acquisition of Bush Boake Allen by IFF.
Took lead role in evaluating supply points and retained key personnel selection
Handled the elimination of 1,500 staff and completed transfer of 500 Products without major business
claim or loss
Established standardised manufacturing principles, resolve all issues and select best practises within the
two companies.

Responsible for staffing levels of 1000+ Multi-functional manufacturing sites with over 300 customer supply
