Wording:
The first 3 titles use similar phrasing: “You know his ___”
, “He knows your ___”
Putting the titles all together creates a few sentences
that make sense: “You know his name, you know his
voice. He knows your sins. On October 27th, he returns to
take back Halloween.”
Film Title:
Font stylised as jigsaw pieces to fit with the film’s title
and theme of puzzles
The classic fairground spiral background is used
The text is more shadowy than in the previous titles

No entrance animation – slight growth of text during
title cards
Wording:
The first 3 titles inform the viewer of the production
company and the release date
The following 4 titles create a sentence that is used as
the tagline for the film: “Make every death count”
Film Title:
Font stylised as icing on a cake to fit with the narrative
device of the protagonist’s birthday and the comedy idea
of her “death day”
A bloodstained knife sits on the table next to the cake to
assist the narrative of the protagonist solving her own
murder
33. Scream4Titles
Font:
Same font used for all title cards except the Film Title
and release date
White/grey text on animated blue/black background
3D animated – the object the titles are place on rotates
into place, some titles fade in during the card’s duration
Wording:
The first 4 titles introduce the movie’s concept in 2 full
sentences: “One call started it all. Now, a new generation
is about to meet a ghost from the past.”
The 5th title showcases the popular director, Wes Craven
The next 3 titles have similar phrasing: “Someone is re-
___ the ___”
Film Title:
The letter A is stylised as a 4 to create a modern, clever
film logo
White/red 3D font with a black background
The release date which follows the film title has the 4
stylised identically to the A in the film title
35. MyTitles
I will use the following conventions of horror film
teaser trailer titles in my own work:
Use separate titles to create full sentences or a tagline
which represents the film’s concept
Use white or red font on a dark background
Use a different font for the film title than the rest of the
titles
Stylise the film’s title using imagery significant to the
film’s concept
Use minimal animation so as not to distract from the
action of the trailer itself
