7. Interests of my audience
I expect my audience to be interested in
the drama genre of films and interested in
films that involve a mature subject matter.
As my film would be independently
distributed and low budget I would expect
mainly film enthusiasts would watch it.
8. Certificate
My film will have a 15 rating as it involves
mature subject matter and intense action
scenes
9. Purpose
I plan to introduce the audience to the main character and give them an idea of
his situation and personality solely through body language. I hope that by using
this technique it will create suspense and intrigue the audience with regards to
the rest of the plot. It will involve a collection of dramatic shots with titles
imposed over them.
10. Titles
I plan to use a white font for titles over several different shots of the actor
travelling or sitting. I will use a variety of different angles and camera
movements to enhance these shots. I will place the titles off centre so that
the audience can focus on the character and his body language during the
title sequence.
11. Sound
I want to use a song called ‘Be’. I think it will set the atmosphere for the title
sequence and give the audience a good idea of what to expect with regards
to the tone of the film. I will also add in sound effects like heartbeats for
creating suspense at important plot points. I will also add in other effects like
doors closing to give the film a sequence a sense of realism.
12. Challenges
• Finding a suitable time to film where we
won’t disturb people
• Filming on an icy surface
• Finding good angles to shoot still scenes.
13. Desirable response
I want my audience to be interested in the main character and his
involvement in the plot. I want the sequence to be aesthetically pleasing but
also give just enough information so that there is some structure to the film.
I want the audience to be in suspense by the end of the title sequence as
there is meant to be a cliffhanger ending.
