6. Promotional Campaign Ideas
-We will brand our film by emphasising the theme of time in all our different
promotional materials, as well as placing our protagonist at the forefront of each
different product.
-Our unique selling point is the use of a time loop narrative device in a horror film,
as well as our protagonist being forced to commit the acts of violence.
- We will ensure that the same narrative and genre is being promoted across all
different media products and that character representation is kept the same
throughout
7. Teaser Trailer Concept
-key events: supernatural element -curse=time loop
-main character, loses control does stuff he later regrets, wakes up next day,
repeat
-voice over narrative explaining??
-text on a black screen -makes it seem more dramatic
8. Poster Concept
-Main character on front (branding)
-Grayscale hint of red (typical of horror)
-Blue colour correction to hint at the supernatural element
-Tagline
9. Magazine Cover Concept
A minority of horror films will cover a magazine’s front page,
due to their vast target audience. They will typically feature
future big blockbusters, an example of a horror film that
would feature on a magazine cover would be a film such as
the conjuring series as they are widely anticipated.
We will be taking inspiration from the magazine covers to
the left as they all attribute similar elements e.g. main
character, similar colour scheme, plain background etc. We
will also gain inspiration from ‘Groundhog Day’ and ‘Happy
Death Day’ as their narrative is similar to us, therefore we will
look at their movie posters and take elements from them and
incorporate it into a potential magazine cover for example,
we could take the image of Bill Murray in the clock and
possibly the Happy Death Day font, colours and style.
