Homework Two- Institutions Research
The publisher of this pop music magazine is the BBC, the BBC are quite a big company who
publish lots of magazines and have their own channels as well as radio. The BBC was founded
on the 18th October in 1922. BBC stands for British Broadcasting Corporation and is a Public
Broadcaster.

 Good Food
 Cbeebies
 Wildlife
 History
These are just some of the things that the BBC publishes.
From looking at all the things that the BBC publish we can see that they publish things for a
range of different target audiences. As they produce things for 3-6 year olds, 9-15 year olds,
20-35 year olds the list goes on so they don’t just stick to a particular audience they do all
target audiences.
The BBC, although funded by the public license fee and government, holds that it is
independent from state control. The BBC is a cross-media ownership this means that the BBC
owns media in more than one broadcast category, such as owning both a television station
and a radio station. The BBC is not subsidiary.
