Bauer Media Group is a European media company founded in 1875 that publishes over 600 magazines, 400 digital products, and 50 radio/TV stations worldwide. They publish some large music magazines in the UK such as Kerrang! and Q Magazine. While Bauer has experience with music magazines, publishing a new one may be difficult due to competition from their existing popular titles. Overall, Bauer would be a good publisher for the magazine concept due to their expertise and success in the music magazine genre.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

2. BAUER MEDIA GROUP
It is a European-based media company, with its HQ in Hamburg, Germany
that was founded in 1875 which is a limited 85% partnership owned. The
company has a portfolio of more than 600 magazines, 400 digital products
and 50 radio/T.V stations worldwide.
They have a few magazines such as Closer, Empire and AM (Automotive
Management) within their portfolio but they also have some of the biggest
music magazines in the UK and Worldwide in Kerrang! Which is a
rock/alternative magazine and Q Magazine which is quite a mixed music
magazine.
As they publish some of the biggest music magazines in the UK and
worldwide which could be suitable as they have plenty of experience working
with music magazines so would know what way to publish my magazine and
it could also be unsuitable as they might not be able to publicise my
magazine as much if it was put into the market as they already own some of
the most popular music magazines.
3. IPC MAGAZINES LTD (TIME INC UK)
The company was founded in 1968, the company focus on the
genres of Lifestyle, Luxury and Specialist. They publish
magazines such as Now, NME, Look, Ideal Home, World Soccer
and Amateur Photographer and they also publish comics.
The company was mainly composed of a small amount of other
companies such as Associated Newspapers, Odhams Press LTD,
George Newnes Publishers, C. Arthur Pearson and Hulton Press
who competed for market share in a highly competitive
marketplace.
As they publish a lack of music magazines this could be both a
suitable and unsuitable as because there is a lack of music
magazines that they publish it could mean that there is room for
my magazine to make an impact in the publishing company if it
was actually released as my magazine would be different to most
that the already publish. It could also be unsuitable because the
lack of music magazines that they publish could mean that they
do not have any specialisation in the music magazine industry
which if my magazine was real it could impact on my magazine
not being as successful as it could be.
4. EMAP (ASCENTIAL)
Ascential is a plc and used to be known as EMAP which is a
business-to-business media business which was founded in 1947
specialising in exhibitions and festivals information.
The company is also listed on the London Stock Exchange and is
also included in the FTSE 250 Index.
It publishes many different genres of magazines both currently and
in the past there is no specific music magazines currently being
published in the past they did publish one pop music magazine
called smash hits but now publish more lifestyle and luxury
magazines such as Retail Week and Architects Journal. Some
examples of the exhibitions & festivals magazines that they publish
are magazines like Retail Week Awards, Drapers Fashion Summit
and Egypt Mega projects. The lack of music magazines could be
suitable as it allows me to be a new genre of there current
magazines if it was actually published by them but could be
unsuitable as they may not have a good amount of experience
working with music magazines which could limit my magazine.
5. BBC BOOKS (BBC PUBLISHING)
BBC Books that used to be known as BBC Publishing is majoritaly
owned by Penguin Random House under its Ebury Publishing division
and has been active in since the 1980’s.
They publish a range of books around the topics of radio and television
including cookery, natural history, lifestyle and behind the scenes (the
creating of books).
Doctor Who is a popular book that the BBC Books have produced that
tie into the television program that is aired on the BBC, which was
released in 2005. In 2007 they made a spin off called torchwood in
2007 and made a audio book read by the doctor who star in 2008
David Tennant and won audiobook of the year in 2010. Being Human
another television series the book was released in 2010 and also
Sherlock Holmes and other T.V program was published in 2011. This
could be suitable to my magazine as it is something new to be put into
the publishing company and it may be unsuitable as the magazine may
not be recognised with the publishing company as they focus on
books/audiobooks.
6. WHICH PUBLISHER IS BEST FOR MY
MAGAZINE
I have chose Bauer Media Group as the publisher that would be best for
my magazine if it was actually getting published because they have a
long established and experienced company working in the publishing
business and working through all the different types of media.
Even though the publishing company already publishes some of the
most popular music magazines in the UK and the World my magazine
would be different but along the same alternative lines that the company
uses which could make my magazine popular as they specialise in
music magazine that feature alternative artists such as Rap and Rock
music which could boost the sales of my magazine if it was actually put
in the market.
