4. DIP diet (Dr.Biswaroop roy choudhary ).
Role of microorganisms in the evolution of
animals and plants.
HSome microorganisms are not harmful, infact, some are
quite helpful (like the bacteria that is found in your gut).
But a majority of them cause a lot of diseases in man and
other organisms. Microorganisms include bacteria, algae,
fungi, archaea, and protozoa.
What about the virus?
Even though viruses are very small and cause diseases, they
are not technically classified as a microorganism as they are
not considered to be “alive.”
Life cycle and spreading of microorganism and viruses.
The life cycle of microorganisms and viruses is
going to continue and it will spread
everywhere.
Working of immunity :
A type of white blood cells called lymphocytes are vital
to the specific immune response.
Lymphocytes mature into one of several subtypes.
Two most common are T cells and B cells.
T cells are activated when a particular
phagocyte known as an antigen-presenting
cell (APC) displays the antigen to which the T
cell is specific.
T helper cell
• (A subtype of T cell)
• Releases chemicals to
1. Help activate B cells to divide into plasma cells
2. Call in phagocytes to destroy microbes
3. Activate killer T cells
Once activated, killer T cells recognize infected
body cells and destroy them.
Note: B-Cell can mature and differentiate into
plasma cells that produce a protein called an
antibody.
