We'll talk a little about the history of the devices

MICROCHIP

Characteristics

• Also know as integrated circuit

• First developed in 1958 by engineer Jack Kilby

• A microchip is a very thin pad where are thousands or
 millions of interconnected electronic devices

• Your area may be 1 cm, 2 cm or less

• are used today in addition to the computers, in mobile phones, home appliances, toys with an
  electronic component, etc..

• The first computer that used IBM microchips was launched in 1965, called Series 360. These
  computers are considered third generation
RAM MEMORY
• The Random Access Memory, or RAM

• Is a semiconductor memory, which can both read and write
  information

• Volatile memory, namely loses its contents when disconnected
  from power.

• in the late 80's ability RAMs were around 4 MB, now you usually buy
a computer with at least 1024 MB (1 GB)

• There are currently different RAM modules, the most current
among the DDR3 1333 MHz speeds to 1666 MHz
CACHE MEMORY

• In computing, the CPU cache is a cache l1

• used by the central processing unit of a computer
to reduce access time to memory.

• The cache is a smaller and faster memory

• which stores copies of the data located in the main
memory that are used most frequently.

• When the processor needs to read or write to a
location in main memory, it first checks whether a
copy of the data is in the cache
HARD DISK

• Since in 1955 the first hard drive out to this
day, hard disk or HDD has had a great
  development

• The hard drive is the component that is
responsible for storing all the data we want.
While serving as the memory RAM "support“

• Generally, the first thing is recorded on a hard
drive is the operating system that we use in
  our computer

• Today we can find hard drives up to 2 TB
  storage
PORTABLE DEVICES diskette

                        DVD
• a fixed part of the devices that exist as
components in a computer, and smaller
  devices are removable
                                              CD-ROM
