- 13. CONCEPT OF HISTORY • The word ‘HISTORY’ is come from the Greek word ‘historia’ which means inquiry or knowledge of inquiry.
- 14. CONCEPT OF HISTORY • History is a branch of knowledge that attempts to ascertain, record, and explain facts and events that happened in the past.

HERODOTUS • As a son of a prominent family Herodotus received a good education sufficient to allow him to eventually gain an extensive familiarity with the literature of ancient Greece. • In preparing his History Herodotus' sources of information include the works of predecessors, but these are widely complemented through the knowledge that he gained from his own extensive travels. Although Herodotus' great work does in fact contain some factual inaccuracies, he does seem to have striven for accuracy. FATHER OF HISTORY:

Vietnam War is almost the same with the case in the korea where north and south is divided. North is the communist powered by soviet union and china then south capitalist powered by US and other allies. Where North Vietnam is victorious over south. They take advantage the jungle warfare on their side, they uses booby traps. tunnels. They take over Saigon the capital of south korea it is a complete humiliation to US their defeat and fail to protect south Vietnam. Part of the Cold War is the ‘Space Race’ The first animal in space is from Russia the dog ‘laika’ and the first man on space is ‘Yuri Gagarin’ First Woman in space ‘Valentina Tereshkova’ first man to go outside in his space craft ‘Alexei Leonov’………. US leads after where they sent the first group of astronauts to see our moon and soon after they landed on the surface of it and the first man to step the lunar surface is ‘Neil Armstrong’ There is also Arms race where atomic bombs is present in both side. They test several atomic bomb. The Cold War ends in the fall of Berlin wall and the Soviet Union.
