Siyaram, a 30-year-old male, presented with fatigue, fever, vomiting, jaundice, and abdominal pain. His symptoms began one week prior and he had visited a new restaurant two weeks earlier. Laboratory tests confirmed acute hepatitis A infection as he tested positive for hepatitis A IgM and RNA. Ultrasound showed an enlarged liver and spleen without masses. He was diagnosed with acute hepatitis A and treated with rest, intravenous fluids, hepatoprotective medications, and a loperamide for diarrhea. Vaccination was recommended as post-exposure prophylaxis.
