Hearing impaired and
children with speech
disorders
MUMTHAZ PP
Hearing impaired are those who have
damaged hearing mechanism and face
difficulty in hearing normal sounds due
to lack of proper transmission of sound,
because of the blockage in any part of
the ear.
What to do…….
The hard of hearing children can
hear without a hearing aid if
someone speaks too loudly. But
teaching too loudly affects the
quality of voice and the normal
classroom situation. So it is
important to prescribe hearing
aids to such children. For them
integration is not difficult.
Hearing aid will enable them to
hear better.
CHILDREN WITH SPEECH
DISORDERS
They are those who have
problems in voice,
rhythm and articulation.
It so happens due to
their defective speech
organs or due to lack of

their correction through habit
formation.
Some children who have major speech
disorders can also be integrated by providing
