successfully communicated how far the ship was from the ground. This sequence
could have easily been shot straightforward and would lack any excitement or
dynamic. Johnston successfully create an interesting sequence through varying the
camera height and angle throughout the decent. The light colored Millennium Falcon
is always overlapping with some part of the dark void of space in each frame,
causing it to be the focal point of all shots. The texture of the planet becomes more
recognizable as the ship moves closer to the surface, communicating the changing
distance between the ship and the planet. In addition to lack of surface detail in the
first 4 frames, the shape repetition changes from circular to organic and abstract. This
is a successful sequence due to the use of shape, value, and detail to communicate to
the viewer the story of the Millennium Falcon landing on a planet.

The first edition of the Meditations was published in Latin by Michael Soly of Paris
at the Sign of the Phoenix in 1641 cum Privilegio et Approbatione Doctorum. The
Royal privilege was indeed given, but the approbation seems to have been of a
most indefinite kind. The reason of the book being published in France and not in
Holland, where Descartes was living in a charming country house at Endegeest
near Leiden, was apparently his fear that the Dutch ministers might in some way
lay hold of it. His friend, Pere Mersenne, took charge of its publication in Paris and
wrote to him about any difficulties that occurred in the course of its progress
through the press. The second edition was however published at Amsterdam in 1642
by Louis Elzevir, and this edition was accompanied by the now completed
Objections and Replies. 1 The edition from which the present translation is made is
the second just mentioned, and is that adopted by MM. Adam and Tannery as the
more correct, for reasons that they state in detail in the preface to their edition. The
work was translated into French by the Duc de Luynes in 1642 and Descartes
considered the translation so excellent that he had it published some years later.

There has always been a close association between drugs and crime. Drugs have
been seen as a way out of suffering in one s life and so as long as there is suffering
there will always be a market for drugs. The struggle to keep one s self sane when
away from a substance they need can cause them to do crazy and even violent
things to others. Things like murdering someone because they did not have proper
control of themselves is not something unheard of by any means. These people can
been seen as both victims and criminals, as they were not in a sound state of mind
when doing these actions, however them doing the actions does not mean they
should get off scot free. The users are only one side of the coin, the other is the drug
dealers. The dealers do not have to be selling purely illegal drugs, they may be
selling prescription drugs too, but in the pursuit of their own survival in a struggling
life, they turn to selling substances to others. By doing so they can even amass a
fortune, but this is still a crime, and what people will do to try to get all this potential
money can span from robbing to murder. The articles I read from different media
support the fact there is indeed a tie with crime and drugs, being that an increase of

The Problem with Banishment
With the name The Unicorn Hunters, one might think this group consists of
delusional people, but on the contrary The Unicorn Hunters are a group created for
Lake Superior State University (LSSU) to garner more support for the school. W.T.
(Bill) Rabe created the Unicorn Hunters after being hired as the Director of Public
Relations at LSSU. The group s popularity hails from their publicity stunts and other
events, one of which includes the annual List of Banished Words that first began in
1975 76 (Lake Superior State University). This list consists of words and phrases
that people wish to banish from our language. The past lists show words that people
generally disliked, overused, or considered to be a negligent and lazy way to
communicate.
After looking through the lists created by LSSU, the Freshman Composition I class
created their own list of banished words and compiled the data within various tables,
charts, and graphs. Next, by analyzing the data the class arrived to several
conclusions about the implications of the data. Group A, my group, was assigned to
show how to make a table of the top ten words, complete with title, labels, and
caption.
First, friends, family, and strangers were surveyed and asked what words they
would like to banish from our language. As a result, the entire class compiled a list

expectations for him to live up to, and many responsibilities and challenges he had
to accept. Adams received the most criticism for the Alien and Sedition acts, which
were four bills passed by the Federalists in 1798. Even though the Alien and Sedition
Acts were proposed for the safety of our country, it ended up being a controversial
issue and these acts were deemed unconstitutional. Although the Alien and Sedition
Acts became a political issue, not all of the measures were illegitimate and there were
some things that Adams could have done differently. The first measure of the Alien
and Sedition Acts, the Naturalization Act was a reasonable action that extended the
time period for someone to become a citizen from 5 to 14 years. This act was passed
in preparation for an anticipated war with the French and it prevented traitors from
switching sides and going pro French during this time. By extending the citizenship
time period requirement, this would protect the United Statesfrom alien citizens of

Thisbe and uses elements of comedy to amuse the lovers on their marriage day. Act 5
