This document discusses the development of a new website for hand surgery called www.handsurgerymanual.com. It conducted a survey of hand, plastic, and orthopedic surgeons to determine what qualities they want in an educational hand surgery website. Based on the survey results, the website was developed using an open-source content management system to provide dynamic and shareable content like articles, videos, forums and more. The goal is to create a collaborative space for hand surgeons to share knowledge openly without advertising to improve hand surgery globally.

Questionnaires handed out at ROH NHS FT, UHB NHS FT, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS FT. 62 Responses Consultants: 16 (T&0 + Plastic Surgery) Trainees: 46 (SPR / SHO)
