3. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. H. K. Vardia, Dean,
College of Fisheries, Kawardha and also Chief Executive Officer of the Hands on
Training who gave us an opportunity for undergoing experiential learning programme
in the college. He was a guiding principal in coordinating the entire programme and
looked after every need of us timely. He has shown keen interest in the programme
and did visits to our working sites often and guided us for the better learning. We also
wish to thank him for providing all necessary laboratory, field, vehicle and manpower
facilities to successfully undergo this learning activity.
We are highly indebted to Dr. Honnananda B. R., Astt. Prof. and also
Managing Director of Hands on Training (Experiential Learning Programme),
College of Fisheries, Kawardha for meticulous planning, execution and supervision of
the entire programme. His guidance and support from the beginning to end of the
programme has helped us in thorough understanding and developing skills in the
learning objectives of the programme. He also taken care in coordinating the
concerned officials to avail facilities required for the programme. We also thank him
for his thorough scrutiny of reports and records with perfection. His interest and
involvement in our field training and concern for our learning have greatly motivated
us.
We are also indebted to Mr. Dushyant Kumar Damle, Astt. Prof. and
Coordinator for Experiential Learning Programme for his time to time guidance in
the field work sharing his vast experience, motivating towards applying new ideas in
the field conditions. We thank him for his keen support and encouraging words. His
unstinct support as Academics In charge has also helped us greatly.
We would also like to express our gratitude to Dr. N. Sarang, Astt. Prof. for
his guidance in the field for better understanding of larval developmental stages and
biology of fishes.
We would like to thank Dr. B. Nightingale Devi, Astt. Prof. for her cordial
support, valuable input in project formulation, planning and entrepreneurship
development.

guidance in the fisheries students development programme and entrepreneurship
development.
We would also like to thank Mr. Kamalesh Panda for his time to time
guidance for the seminar and his keen support.
We would also like to thank Mrs. Sarita Das, Mr. Sandeep Kumar Sahu,
Mr. Sanjay Chandravanshi, Mr. Atul Sinha and Mr. Sudhakar Bisen for his time
to time guidance during breeding, nursery rearing of Indian major carps and skill
development programme.
We are also indebted to officials from Department of Fisheries, Government
of Chhattisgarh namely, Mr. Y. K. Dindore (Astt. Director), Mr. D. K. Shrivastav
(Astt. Fisheries Officer), Mr. D. P. Sirdar (A.F.O.) and Mr. V.K. Chandrakar
(F.I.) for providing permission to work at their hatchery and farm sites for learning
carp seed production and nursery management programme.

relatives for their love, prayer, support, care and encouraging words that certainly
