4. Introduction
Today Pakistan is facing a lot of social
problems but some are very common in
Pakistan, which are destroying our society and
also economy of Pakistan. Like child labour,
poverty, illiteracy, population growth,
terrorism, smuggling, drug abuse etc. The
topic which I have selected is child laborite is a
global issue. Child labour is one of the most
common problems in Asia and also in Pakistan

6. Human Rights Violation:
• Unsafe labour conditions in Bangladesh led to World’s worst
garment industry tragedy as thousands died in horrific building
collapse.
• Egypt’s epidemic of violence and sexual abuse resulted in more than
600 deaths and 91 women assaulted in four days of riots at Tahrir
Square.
• Burma committed ethnic cleansing against thousands of Rohingya
Muslims; 28 children hacked to death and mass graves uncovered.
• North Korea’s large-scale human rights abuses revealed: 120,000
prisoners held in gulags, citizens starved and publicly executed by
firing squad.

7. International Human Rights Law
• In 1948, the United Nations’ new Human Rights Commission had
captured the attention of the world. Under the dynamic
chairmanship of Eleanor Roosevelt—President Franklin
Roosevelt’s widow, a human rights champion in her own right and
the United States delegate to the UN—the Commission set out to
draft the document that became the Universal Declaration of
Human Rights. Roosevelt, credited with its inspiration, referred to
the Declaration as the “international Magna Carta for all
mankind.” It was adopted by the United Nations on December 10,
1948.

The term “child labor” is often defined as:
“Work that deprives children
of their childhood, their
potential and their dignity,

9. CHILD LABOR IN PAKISTAN
• Child labor is a socioeconomic problem in Pakistan
from the beginning and presenting negative effects in
Pakistan.
• Today in Pakistan child labor is most prominent issue
of all social issue.
• During the last year, the Federal Bureau of Statistics
released the results of its survey funded by ILO’s IPEC.
The findings were that 3.8 million children age groups
of 5-14 years are working in Pakistan out of total 40
million children in this age group.

 Awareness must be raised and parents should pay
attention to the education of their children.
 Child labor Laws should be strictly put into practice.
 If we want success then we have to act upon these
principles and then our country can easily get rid of
this problem.
 Do we should to distribute the education free of
cost, give flame to the candle of education and
distribute the light of knowledge among the
people?

•The children are working as a labor in school
going age for the survival of there families and
to full fill the basic necessities.
•People don’t know the importance
of education. That’s why most of children
remain illiterate.
•It is not just responsibility of government we
are also responsible for that.
