The Different Ways and Reasons Pakistani Children Get into child labor
Reasons
 Poverty
 Uneducated
 Business Advantage
 Workers rights are repressed
 Failure of laws
 Excess population
Poverty
Poverty is the basic reason and driving force
that compels these children to work like labours
and earn a little money at the end of the day.
UNEMPLOYMENT OF ELDERS.
 Another important reason is unemployment which forces the parent to send their children
to work places .
 Due to unemployment its become compulsion of parents to make their children to work in
factories, shops, even selling items on streets.
Excess Population
• In villages there is trend to early marriages and have large number of children. To fulfill
the basic needs they compel their children to do work.
• So they have no other choice but to work and earn a little amount to support their
families.
• They consider children as their source of
Income and they make them to work like pulling carts
Repairing machines, work in factories, selling goods etc...
Different types of child labor
• According of ILO,S (international labor organization state ) child Lamour programmed
various successfully initiatives have been carried out in the

• Most popular export from Pakistan
• Somewhere between 500,000-1 million Pakistani children work as full
time carpets weavers
Nearly 70% of child labourers, work in agriculture, fishing, forestry and hunting
3. Automobile Workshop

120 of them worked from 8-10 hours
without any safety measures.

1. Mental effects
2. Physical effects
3. Carpet Weaving Physical Affects
4. Agriculture Physical Affects
Suggestion
1. Spread awareness
2. More stringent laws and effective implementation.
3. Sending more children to school.
4. Discouraging people to employ children in homes, shops, factories, etc..
5. Supporting NGOs like Save the Children.
CHILD LABOUR LAWS
• ON 6 AUGUST 2020, PAKISTAN banned child domestic for the first time that make it illegal
for children to participate in domestic labor . The government recognized
that consequences for this labor such as TRAUMA OR ABUSE among young
domestic workers
• ARTICLE 11 of the constitution of ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN GURRANTEE
THAT ,
(No child below the age of 14 years shall be engaged in any factory ,
or mine ,etc. )
 Education is the one of the most effective means of controlling and combating
child labor
Pakistan’s Efforts
• The Employee Children Act, 1991
• Punjab compulsory Education Act 1994
• The government gave free books to primary schools so parents with limited budgets are now
able to send their children to schools
• No laws are enforced
• The Pakistan Parliament is a part of the elite, so they pay no taxes and don’t want to make
any changes to the system
Conclusion
1. Child labours are working not the choice of their own. They are the victims of
their circumstances and we are taking benefit of their compulsions.
2. These children are working as a labor in school going age for the survival of their
families and to full fill the basic necessities.
3. Government should provide the basic rights to these children and should also
help them in getting education in his way our country can get rid of social evil
4. BY provide all necessary things we can stop child labor .
5. BY awareness about education .
6. BY ,applying laws strictly , we stop child labor .
7. Compulsory education may break the attitude of the people who force
