GIFT City, located in Gujarat, India, is the country's first operational smart city and international financial services center, designed for a walk-to-work concept. Proposed during the 2007 Vibrant Gujarat Summit, it spans 359 hectares with plans for mixed-use development, providing infrastructure including reliable electricity, telecom services, and waste management. Currently, GIFT City has operational commercial spaces, an international stock exchange, and affordable housing initiatives, with its development divided into three phases.
