2. ENTRY NUMBER 1 (DAY &2)
The skills that we used today whilst filming were:
How to set up all of the equipment
The different shot types that best suit each shot we are taking
How to transfer our clips from the camera onto the computer
We feel that our progress is quite good because we were able to gather a few different background footage
shots for our documentary. Also we feel that our time keeping management system is good because we give
ourselves enough time to record the material we need and then get back to the computer so we can transfer
them over.
The area for us to mainly improve will be to organize interviews with our experts as well as try to get some vox
pops. Our plan for next time is to try and set up an interview with our experts and film some more background
footage. Also we will aim to try and get some vox pops done.

3. ENTRY NUMBER 2 (DAY 3)
The skills that we used today whilst filming were:
Using an over-the-shoulder shot technique
Different levels of zooming in and out to get the best frame for each shot.
We feel that our progress has increased even more because we have been able to get one of our expert
interviews out of the way with some good, detailed answers from the principal.
Our area to improve for next time is to try and get the second expert interview completed. Our plan for next
time is to make sure we aim to get vox pops recorded and put onto the computer and also we are more
organized time wise.

4. ENTRY NUMBER 3 (DAY 4)
We never used many skills today because our main aim was to go out and record and new version of one of
our previous background shots. Even though we lost some time doing this we were able to show that we had
organization skills because we quickly worked out that one of our shots was that good and needed to be done
again. This slowed down our progress a little bit because not much filming was done after that but it also
means that we have now managed to get the right clip to put into our documentary.
Our area to improve is to make sure more filming is done next time and time is used more efficiently. Our plan
for next time is to get lots more filming done and also try to get some vox pops in, also we should try to get our
second expert interview done so that we have more time to get lots of vox pops so we have a variety to
choose from.

Improvement in our organization skills. Not using many other skills.
Not getting enough filming done which is

5. ENTRY NUMBER 4 (DAY 5)
We used lots of skills today because we managed to get five vox pops completed, both which included a mix
of male and female students. Whilst filming these vox pops we used different levels of both zooming in and out
and also we used different camera angles.
We feel that our progress has increased a lot once again because we managed to get a big chunk of filming
out of the way which gives us more time to shoot more background footage if it is needed and more time to set
up our reconstruction.
Our areas to improve for next time is to make sure that we don’t make any more mistakes with different
camera shots and also try and get out reconstruction done. Also we will try and get some archival footage
recorded.
Our plan for next time is to firstly get the second expert interview done and try and get some more vox pops if
we can, also if there is any time we can go back and correct the previous two vox pops we recorded.

Managed to get a good amount of filming
done as well as getting a variety of vox
pops.
Two of the five vox pops we recorded
were filmed where the camera angle was
too low which ended up making the clips
look like low angle shots.
