2. We have now completed a lot of our
planning that will dictate our filming:
risk assessments, props list, schedule,
location reccee, research into our own
and similar products, questions for
voxpops and interviews, etc.
Throughout the planning stage, we
have worked effectively but there are
also things that we could do better
next time…
3. Strengths
We distributed these tasks between us evenly in order to
maximize our creative and IT skills. This meant that we could
spend more time on each task because we only had a few
tasks to work on at a time.
When it comes to filming, we feel that these aspects of
planning will help us greatly as we know what we will be
filming, the locations and have a rough idea of the time it will
take us.
Also, we have used a range of different software to present
our planning. This has improved our knowledge of the
resources available and also made our blog more
aesthetically pleasing.
4. Areas to Improve
Although we took a lot of strengths away from our
planning stage, we could have done a few things
better.
We could have managed our time better in this stage
in order to help us work more efficiently. For
example, if we had done our risk assessments earlier,
we may be less rushed in later stages. Next time, it
would be a good idea to have a schedule for planning
as well as for filming so we knew exactly what we
would be doing in each lesson.
However, we have not fallen behind yet and we will
learn from this minor error.
5. Conclusion
Overall, I feel that our strengths
outweigh the areas to improve and we
are hopefully on track for a level 4.
The next things we need to do are shot
types, tripod set up and start organizing
our expert interviews for when we start
filming!
