The document discusses several issues related to the environment and energy sources. It notes that the environment is currently threatened by human activity like exploitation of resources and fossil fuel use. This has led to problems like global warming, energy scarcity, and limited resources. In particular, fossil fuel reserves are dwindling while their use contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and global warming. The population growth also increases food and resource demands, putting further pressure on the environment. Sustainable solutions are needed to address these interconnected issues.

2. BACKGROUND
Nowadays, the environment an issue that needs careful attention and scrutiny. Environment is currently threatened by the
various impacts of human activity. From the past the current environment begin to reveal significant changes.
Exploitation is continuous and not offset by providing the opportunity for nature to recover has led to the problems that
threaten the very future generations of mankind. The problem that is very interesting is that global warming, energy
scarcity, and limitation of earth sources.
The problem of energy scarcity cannot be separated from the still a lot dependence on fossil fuels. Fossil fuels such as oil
takes millions of years for the formation, usage massively to meet the needs of the production, distribution and
consumption of the earth's oil reserves are running low. At a later stage, the use of fossil fuels also have harmful effects on
the environment, including one of which is the production of carbon dioxide gas resulting greenhouse effect. The use of
fossil fuels and deforestation are increasingly burdening the earth so that global warming is some-thing that is inevitable.
Global warming occurs where an increase in the average global temperature of the earth caused by increasing
concentrations of greenhouse gases were then known as the hothouse effect (efek rumah kaca). The presence of this gas in
the air to give effect to absorb and retain heat in it so that the surrounding temperature becomes hot due to the climate
change that occurred because of this effect. Most of the greenhouse (efek rumah kaca). Gases generated by today's
human activity of which the combustion of fossil fuels by electricity. The population growth cannot continue indefinitely,,
affect the food needs continue to increase. Limited land and its uneven distribution of the population resulted in limitation
of food and fresh water. Distribution of the population concentrated in large cities, the limited supply of clean water and
lack of agricultural land that produces food.

6. Location
• The zero energy settlement project will be built inCibolang, Cibadak, Sukabumi,
West Java. The size of the area is +/- 1,3 ha m2.
7. BUDGET
• Land Budget
In Cibolang, Cibadak, Sukabumi,West Java, price for land is around Rp.300.000,- / m2, which
mean we need;
13000 m2x Rp. 300.000.-/ m2 = Rp. 3.900.000.000,00
• Housing Budget
This housing will have one story , each house have 60 m2, with estimation budget per m2is
around Rp. 2.000.000,-.
In here, we need ;
60 m2/house x 12 houses = 720 m2
720 m2 x Rp. 2.000.000,-/ m2 = Rp. 1.440.000.000,00

9. PLAYGROUND
A playground, playpark, or play area is a place with a
specific design to allow children to play there. It may
be indoors but is typically outdoors (where it may be
called a tot lot in some regions). While a playground is
usually designed for children, some playgrounds are
designed for other age groups. Playground design is
influenced by the intended purpose and audience.
Separate play areas might be offered to
accommodate very young children. Single, large,
open parks tend to not to be used by older schoolgirls
or less aggressive children, because there is little
opportunity for them to escape more aggressive
children.By contrast, a park that offers multiple play
areas is used equally by boys and girls.
10. Fresh water
To get fresh water, the water from river will be
filter first like picture beside.
11. Farming and Garden
Because the weather condition on mountain dominantly high rainfall, people there can plant their own
vegetables and fruits for their own consumption. Farming doesn’t need too much expenditure, so people
will not need too high fund to work as the farmers. Besides planting vegetables and fruits, Farmers can
raise cow, sheep, and horse. People can consume milks that they get from cow and ride the horse to reach
another place. And the society can process the cow and horse dung into biogas to cook and they can
transfer the biogas into a biogas generator for artificial lighting. The left over sludge can be used as organic
fertilizer for the plantation.
12. Solar cell
Solar cell is a power plant that is capable of
converting sunlight into electrical current . Solar
energy is actually the most promising energy source
since it is sustainable (sustainable ) as well as a very
large amount .The sun is the energy source that is
expected to overcome the problems of the future
energy needs after a variety of conventional energy
sources is reduced in number and are not friendly to
the environment .
13. Micro hydro
Micro hydro is a type of hydroelectric power
that typically produces up to 100 kW of
electricity using the natural flow of water.
These installations can provide power to an
isolated home or small community, or are
sometimes connected to electric power
networks.There are many of these
installations around the world, particularly in
developing nations as they can provide an
economical source of energy without the
purchase of fuel
14. Biogas
Biogas is gas produced from the
decomposition of organic materials by
microorganisms in the rare condition of
oxygen (anaerobic). Biogas components are
as follows: ± 60% ch4 (methane), ± 38% co2
(carbon dioxide) and ± 2% n2, o2, h2, and
h2s. Biogas can be burned as LPG, large
scale biogas can be used as an electric
energy generator, so it can be used as an
alternative energy source that is
environmentally friendly and renewable.
Biogas is the main energy source is livestock
manure cattle, buffalo, pigs and horses.
15. Bank energy
In the settlement has bank of energy. The
bank energy is a storage area electricity
energy generated by the micro-hydro,
biogas, and solar pv.
allThe energy has been produce, will be put
in one place (bank energy). From this bank
energy will spread to each house
17. Micro-Hydro
Micro-hydro installation mostly has specific range of cost around Rp. 12.000 – Rp. 19.000 /
KW. In here, we assume that we will install micro-hydro for 592.8 KW as same as what we
have already apply for solar panel, that means;
592.8 x Rp. 15.500,- / KW = Rp. 9.188.400, 00
BUDGET
18. BIOGAS
In general, bio-gas installation have 3 (three) main parts, those are :Tube substance collecting, Processing tube (Digester) and Residue
collector tube.
1)Tube Substance Collector
This settlement will use medium tube for collect all of the substance, this tube will have dimension; 2m x 2.5m x 2m, with budget is around Rp.
1.000.000 / m3 in here, we need;
2m x 2.5m x 2m = 10 m3
10 m3 x Rp. 1.000.000.- / m3 = Rp. 10.000.000,00
2)Digester
For digester, will use BD 3000 that have capacity until 3000 L/Day and will resist until 20 years with total production bio-methane gas is around
4,6 m3 . Cost for build this unit is around Rp. 23.000.000, 00
3)Residue CollectorTube
For residue collector in this installation will have same dimention with substanse collector which is 2m x 2.5m x 2m, with total cost = Rp.
10.000.000, 00
Besides those three main parts, we also need to provide other things like hoUse, stop gas-tap, nosel, water trap and manometer. All of the
equipment for all housing need cost around = Rp. 7.500.000, 00
Total Budget for Bio-gas Installation;
Tube Substance Collector + Digester + Residue CollectorTube + Equipment
Rp. 10.000.000,- + Rp. 23.000.000,- + Rp. 10.000.000,- + Rp. 7.500.000,- = Rp. 50.500.000, 00 BUDGET
19. SOLAR PANEL
1) Need of Solar Panel
In Indonesia, generally solar energy that can be reserve and convert into other energy is
about 5 hours. Because of it we need:
592.8 KW 592.800Watt/ 24 X 5 hours = 123500Watt peek
In this settlement, the housing will use solar panels which have power 110WP, that mean
we need:
123500WP / 110WP = 98,88 99 - 100 units solar panel.
2) Budget for Solar Panel
3) In market nowdays, solar PV which is have 110Wp is around Rp. 1.750.000,- / unit, in
here total budget that we need is ;
100 PV x Rp. 1.750.000,00 = Rp. 175.000.000,00
BUDGET
