2. History
Syahbandar tower called also Uitkljk, Uitkijk Post was on the west bank of the mouth of the Ciliwung,
precisely located on Jl. Fish Market 1, Jakarta. Referred to as De Uitkijk or tower observer, because this tower
to monitor the entire region both in the direction of the port of Sunda Kelapa and high seas in the north and

shaped stone slab inscribed with Chinese characters, is thought

the tower.
But conservation is only done on the building alone, the environment around the site is still very alarming. There
are times that clogged by waste and does not flow in the vicinity of the location, time is very eyesore and cause air
pollution due cause bad odor.
