The Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services conducted an emergency repair project at Graham Park Plaza to replace approximately 60 feet of broken 8-inch wastewater sewer pipe and retrieve a CCTV camera that was stuck in the pipe during routine maintenance. The project involved communicating with business owners, excavating to retrieve the camera, removing the broken pipe and installing new PVC pipe and laterals, and restoring the work site. The project was completed on May 14, 2021.

Project Description:
The purpose of this emergency project was to replace approximately 60-ft segment of 8-inch wastewater sewer pipe that was broken and to retrieve a Closed-
Circuit Television Inspection (CCTV) camera that was stuck in the pipe during routine maintenance work. This project was substantially complete on May 14,
2021.
Project Overview:
• Communication between contractor and business owners in preparation of the work.
• Excavation to retrieve the CCTV inspection camera.
• Excavation and removal of approx. 60 feet of broken 8 -inch sewer Asbestos concrete pipe.
• Installation of 60 feet of new PVC wastewater sewer pipe and two laterals.
• Restoration of work site.
