A Note On Financial Management
Liquidity is a noteworthy issue in security markets in developing nations such as India. Liquidity
might have various things for understanding. For monetary business sector, we for the most part
characterize liquidity as the simplicity of exchanging a money related item. On the off chance that the
exchanging results in generous quality misfortune for the advantage versus its natural worth, then we
consider the business sector for the security as illiquid. There are a few variables that influence the
liquidity data accessibility, unwavering quality and nature of exchange costs, value sway, and so forth.
Liquidity influences the benefit costs as financial specialists would require extra pay to have the stock
of the illiquid resources which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The liquidity issues can prompt systemic disappointment in installment frameworks (liquidity hazard)
and prompt the breakdown in credit assignment. Amid late money related emergency, the vast
majority of the national banks far and wide worked extra minutes to infuse liquidity to the budgetary
framework through managing an account and close keeping money channels to maintain a strategic
distance from systemic installment breakdown. Consequently, inadequate business sector liquidity will
have resultant effect on a national bank s exercises both as a moneylender of final resort and in its
supervision of budgetary strength. In the result of money related emergency, it was watched that a
large portion of the Governments around the globe have abnormal state of remarkable obligation due
to their backing to the budgetary framework amid the emergency a great many. A fluid optional
business sector results in lower acquiring cost for the Governments. A national bank would
dependably work in close coordination with the Government to improve the respectability and
effectiveness of the Government securities market. A business sector is fluid if brokers can execute
their exchanges promptly (promptness, or the pace of doing an exchange), and where huge
arrangements have little effect on present and ensuing costs or Bid ask spread. The business sector

Reincarnation Is Not A Recent Problem
Reincarnation is one of the world s greatest mysteries in modern science. People still do not know
what is going on after the death, so the phenomenon of reincarnation cannot be explained correctly.
However, it is unusual to have memories from previous life, but stories about children who have
memories from their earlier lives make the idea of reincarnation real. Studying of reincarnation may
help scientists to discover still unviewed corners of human soul. Nevertheless, it is very difficult to
apply rules of science to the mystery of reincarnation, scientists continue to research this topic and
make new conclusions about reincarnation.
The phenomenon of reincarnation is not a recent problem. The origins of the idea of reincarnation
seemingly date to the Iron Age, about 1200 years BC. Discussion of the topic appears in philosophical
traditions of ancient Greece and India starting from 6th century BC. In addition, ancient Egypt culture
and Celtic Druids have thoughts about reincarnation in their works ( Reincarnation: Ancient Beliefs ).
In western religions and traditions, classical Greek philosophy took important place and had
interesting facts about reincarnation. Among the ancient Greeks, phenomenon of reincarnation was
integral part of teaching. However, for the ancient Greeks, their beliefs were based on different
sources of myths that passed down through decades and generations, and had adjusted individual
preferences. In addition, different thoughts about

White House Makeover
Soon, the rumored dump will be no more; a White House makeover is underway and has been a long
time coming.
While President Trump is away on a 17 day vacation, his White House appears to be in disarray, based
on numerous photos. However, after the rigorous restoration is complete, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
will return to its former splendor.
While you were sleeping and preoccupied with a stream of headlines about World War III and a war of
words between North Korea s dictator and America s commander in chief, crews at the White House
ripped up old carpeting, chiseled away at old stucco, prepared walls for fresh paint and gutted the Oval

Summary Of Square Dance By Roger Mcgough
Roger McGough s poetry critiques his contemporary 60 s society, commenting on the substandard
aspect of humanity and articulating the concept that war ultimately brings out the worst in even the
best of people. The Post World War 2 period, with the threat of a nuclear war, emphasised the need for
change. This is illustrated through McGough s poem, Noah s Arc. The title acts as a biblical allusion
providing contextual insight into the concept of the universal destructive nature of humanity through
this satirical poem. The normality of paranoia and insanity depicted due to the constant threat of war is
present throughout the entire poem. The accumulation in, checking the stores, our suits, breathing
apparatus. Cleaning and polishing emphasises ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Klee once said, His poetry has no fixed truths or meanings, only perceptions and interpretations
McGoughs pacifistic perspective on war and his sardonic tone on the naivety of the 60 s society is
most prominent and explored in his poem, Square Dance. Dance of death is a reoccurring motif
throughout the poem, a phrase that originated in the middle ages, emblematic of the universality of
death, also known as the danse macabre , the personification allows the reader to fully understand the
naivety of McGough s current society, imposing the concept that the society is dancing with death,
adding a tone of finality with punctuation to the final use of Dance of Death , conveying a darker more
ruthless society. Each stanza employs a buoyant, sanguine beat, complimented with black humour, to
satirize and burlesque involvement in war, Honour your partner form a square/smell the burning in the
air/ Over the barbed wire kicking high/ Men like shirts hung out to dry sensory imagery and
metaphors work to help the reader envision and understand the scene that McGough is describing, in
an attempt to scar the audience and portray the brutal horror of war, also castigating Honour your
partner as masculinity is not achieved by any means other than soldierly enlistment. Gullibility is
further exploited when McGough quotes Old soldiers never die... and then follows up with ...Only
young ones using a juxtaposition and ellipses to reveal death in a realistic light, to elucidate that death
is real, and soldiers are not all honoured individually. Therefore McGough, in Square Dance,
oppresses the naivety and ignorance of humanity and derides the child like and trusting nature of

Chinese Immigrants Essay
Chinese Americans have arrived to the United States through three waves of immigration. The journey
of immigrating to the United States consisted of many obstacles and hardships. Chinese Americans
have been in this country for centuries, and still remain one of the smallest minority minorities. To this
day, they are still perceived as foreigners in the eyes of other Americans, and have been victimized for
their successes. To gain a deeper understanding of Chinese immigration, we must look at the Chinese
American experience of immigrant jobs, exclusion and discrimination, and the model minority
stereotype. The first wave of Chinese immigrants arrived during the gold rush era. These immigrants
were mostly young men that found work as ploughmen, laundrymen, placer miners, woolen spinners
and weavers, domestic servants, cigar makers, shoe makers, and railroad builders (Lee 71). Many
immigrants came during this period because the United States provided economic opportunities these
immigrants were seeking. For others, coming the United States meant achieving the Gold Mountain
Dream, which was to earn money and return back home rich (Lee 66). Chinese workers also ran their
own business. The two most common were laundries, and restaurants which were considered women s
work because these were typically tasks done by women at home (Lee 75). However, laundry owners
faced harsh realities since they worked and slept in the same place and rarely left the premises because

Informative Speech On Snoopy
Madelynn Parrott
Section 21
General Purpose: My general purpose is to inform.
Specific Purpose: Inform my audience about Snoopy.
Central Idea: Snoopy is so special to me because he gives me the realization that I can be myself
despite what others think, he serves as an inspiration to think adventurously, and he gives a
demonstration of how to treat the people closest to me.
Snoopy for the Win
Introduction
How many people, by a show of hands, have a dog or at some point want to get a dog?
I don t have a dog, but if I were to get one, I know exactly which dog I would get. By far, the coolest
dog in the world, cooler than the Robert Downey Jr. and yes, even cooler than James Bond is of
course Charlie Brown s beloved pet, Snoopy.
Snoopy, I believe, is the best dog to ever be drawn (motion with hand) into this world because we can
all relate to him in some way or another. He gives us three tions as I like to call them. What do I mean
by tions? I mean he gives us a realization, he gives inspiration, and he gives us a demonstration or
example to follow.
Transition
Let s first start with how Snoopy gives us a realization.
Body
Snoopy gives us the realization that it s okay to be yourself even when other people don t like it.
He time and time again gets up on Schroeder s piano and dances because that s what he enjoys doing.
Every time Schroder gives him that, I m going to kill you look, Snoopy does get sheepishly off, but he

Why Is Panda Bear Endangered

Title: Facts about Panda Bears and reasons they are endangered
What is furry, cute and black, and white all over? You can probably guess in 3 chances, the panda
bear. If you are like me, you have watched several videos online and have been curious how the panda
bear survives in the wild. Also, you may have wondered why this loveable looking bear is on the
endangered specie list.
The Diet of a Panda Bear
If you ever wondered what panda s eat, you, will probably rarely seem them eating other animals.
Their main diet is the consumption of bamboo. Actually, 99 percent of the diet is bamboo. The other 1
percent is very small animals, such as, small rodents, fish, flora and eggs. Although, they ... Show

The large male panda s can get up to 250 pounds, and be 2 feet long. The male panda s are indeed
larger than the females. These bears can live up to 20 years in the wild. Even though, there are
environmental conflicts that are reducing their lifespan.
Reasons for the Decline of the Panda Bear
Unfortunately, for the panda bear they are on a endangered list. There are several reasons that it is
difficult for the survival of these bears. The females can ovulate during the Spring time, which
becomes a very small window for growth. They are literally only able to ovulate 2 3 days a year. That
s right. So, this is already a challenge for them. Plus, the female panda can only give birth to 2 and 1
usually dies.
They are approximately 1,600 panda bears that live in the wild all over the world. However, there are
more panda s in China than anywhere else. With this being said, and China s continual growth, this,
causes destruction to the panda s habitat. China uses bamboo for construction and therefore, removes
the main source of food for the panda bear.

The Human Pancreas Is An Organ Of Both Endocrine And Exocrine
The human pancreas is an organ of both endocrine and exocrine function in regulating blood sugars
and aiding in digestion respectively. About 95 percent of the human pancreas is made of exocrine
tissue and the remaining of endocrine. In exocrine glands, secretions flow through ducts into a body
cavity, such as the nasal passage or urinary tract, rather than directly into the circulation of the
bloodstream, which is a characteristic of the endocrine pancreas.
The exocrine pancreas is split into two major substituents, the acini and the duct system, each
comprised of intralobular and interlobular components.
The acinar cells secrete digestive enzymes, which are also synthesized here. The name of these
enzyme secreting units comes from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These epithelial cells protrude short microvilli from their surface, which contain an abundance of
secretory granules, secreting fluids, which make up the majority of pancreatic juices. Epithelial cells
found in the main pancreatic duct are analogous in structure to those of the interlobular ducts. Both
sections of the duct system have thick, collagenous walls. Leakage prevention of the duct system is
carried out by the Zonula Occludens intercellular tight junctions between the duct and acinar cells.
The pancreatic duct, also known as the duct of Wirsung, connects the pancreas to the bile duct. Hence,
allowing the pancreatic juices to be transported to the gall bladder to fuse with bile, aiding in digestion
and neutralization of gastric acids.
In the case of the exocrine glands, secretions consist of aqueous mixtures. Enzyme secretion in the
pancreas is stimulated by the vagus and a hormone called pancreozymin, which is formed when it is
exposed to proteoses or peptones. The pancreas releases 1000 to 1500 ml of pancreatic juice into the
pancreatic duct each day. Secretions of the pancreas consists of two principal constituents, an alkaline
fluid and enzymes such as lipase, protease and α amylase that are necessary for digestion of fats,
proteins and carbohydrates in vertebrates respectively. Other enzymes present include trypsin,
chymotrypsin and colipase.
The pancreas secretes most of these enzymes as inactive precursors

The Witch Trials Essay
In the three documents, Bull Summis desiderantes written by Innocent VIII, The Ant Hill , written by
Johannes Nider and Extracts from The hammer of witches written by Malleus Maleficarum, regarding
the hunting of witches, the beliefs of witchcraft and the trail process for those accused of witchcraft all
show a great deal of evidence that those accused of witchcraft had no chance at a fair trial.
In the document, Bull Summis desiderantes written by Innocent VIII, sheds light on how the catholic
faith viewed those whom were thought to be practicing witchcraft. For the accused, there was little to
no hope of a fair trial, for the accusers had already made their minds up on what they believed to be
true about witchcraft. Innocent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the document by Johannes Nider, The Ant Hill , the writing suggests an unfair perceived
perspective on women whom practiced witchcraft compared to their counterparts, men whom
practiced witchcraft. By Johannes Nider stating his belief on his example he gave of the man and wife
accused of witchcraft, Johannes Nider described the man as penitent while describing the mans wife
as a, witch invincible to persuasion ( Witchcraft Documents [15th Century] ). Johannes Nider seemed
to be implying throughout his letter, that men saw women as the witch while men accused were
seduced into witchcraft. Men were willing to repent their sins while women were willing to endure the
flames rather than confess the least whit of the truth ( Witchcraft Documents [15th Century] ).
Regardless of whether or not those accused of witchcraft confessed their sins, they were still sent to
death, suggesting there was no fair trial for those accused and found guilty of witchcraft ( Witchcraft

Ida Tarbell s Influence On American History
Ida Tarbell Throughout her lifetime, Ida Tarbell served as an outspoken, strong willed and
controversial figure in American History. Her harsh exposés of the Standard Oil Company in McClure
s magazine, later culminated into The History of the Standard Oil Company (1904) earned her
volumes of attention as an investigative journalist, also known as a muckraker . As a Progressive Era
reformer she acted out of her appetite to change society, and in her case, squash trusts which were
hurting America s independent businesses. Directed by her father s experience of being driven out of
the oil business by the Standard Oil Company as well as her persistent persona, Tarbell was able to
disclose Rockefeller s corrupt trust through her incessant investigations leading to general awareness
of corporate trusts and a major supreme court ruling utilizing the Sherman Antitrust Act. Above all,
Ida Tarbell s ruthless muckraking resulted in society s awareness of toxic trusts and Rockefeller s
Standard Oil Company to be crushed. Tarbell s first hand experience of her father s oil tank business
failure due to the Standard Oil Company s scheming set her up for her major success as a muckraker
later in her career.
Ida Tarbell grew up in Erie County, Pennsylvania. Frank Tarbell, Ida s father, saw an opportunity and
switched jobs in order to become a part of the evolving oil business in their area. Soon business was

How Media Influence Body Image
Body Image and the Media
70% of 6 12 year olds already have the mindset that they need to be thinner. (Just Say Yes.org)Many
factors influence individual s perception of his or her own appearance. Media has greatly increased the
ideal image of beauty. Barbie, models, and actors give people false hope that they will look just like
them, and if they look different then they aren t beautiful. Social media and peer pressures influence
the way teens see themselves. To fix this problem people need to learn to self love, respect themselves,
and understand that people on TV were given the job because of the way they look to appeal to the
audience.
First of all, since the growth of the Internet in 1980s the public has been bombarded with media driven
ideas of what characteristics are desirable for men and women. Women tend to want to look like
models they see on advertisements which is usually thin with nice curves. Men also tend to want to
look like models on advertisements, which consists of being tall, slender, muscular, and toned.

How Taxpayer Can Help A Claim Of Negligence Against The...
Taxpayer can also bring a claim of negligence against the Milwaukee Does. The question of the Does
liability follows a very similar analysis of that of the City of Milwaukee, with a few exceptions. First,
Bongo s conduct in shooting the gun will likely be attributed to the Milwaukee Does as the operator of
the event under the legal theory of respondeat superior. Second, in contrast to the City, the Does will
likely not fall under a safe place because they do not own the arena. Rather, the Does will likely by
subject to the traditional negligence standard of ordinary care. The legal theory of respondeat superior
stands for the proposition that through vicarious liability a master may be liable for the acts of his or
her servants in the course of his or her employment. Under this legal theory courts have found
basketball teams labile for the actions of mascots employed by the team for the negligent acts of the
mascot during the course of game. Accordingly, the Does can be found liable for the negligent acts of
Bongo. A Wisconsin court is likely to find a team liable to spectators for the acts of its mascots and
accordingly Taxpayer s recovery against the Milwaukee Does will likely be successful. The Does most
likely instructed Bongo to use the T shirt cannon during the game as a promotional and entertainment
event. Moreover, the Does benefit greatly from ticket sales and provided the mid game entertainment
as a means for increase the enjoyment of the game, resulting in

My Journey As A Spiritual Journey
Kaylan, I am scared I will not see you in heaven, my dad said to me crying one day. That is the very
moment that I reflect on when thinking about my spiritual pilgrimage. I had accepted Christ into my
life at a young age, but did not fully understand the depth of that relationship that I was entering into. I
made poor decisions my first two years in high school, and after realizing my choices I was making,
my dad questioned if I truly accepted Christ in the first place. I knew I had accepted Christ into my
life and received the gift of the Holy Spirit; however, I fell into temptation and quenched the Holy
Spirit when alerting me what I was doing was very wrong. My junior year was a year full of healing
and restoring for both me and my family. I believe that was the beginning of my spiritual pilgrimage
in that sense that I was finally understanding how to participate in the grace to grace relationship with
God. My parents quickly removed me from the public high school I was attending and placed me into
a small Christian high school. My youth group leader s wife, Mandy, was the math teacher, and she
quickly became my mentor for the next two years. I had met with her several times before, but was
never truly honest with her about my struggles and difficulties of understanding my relationship with
God. As we began to meet, she challenged me to reflect and understand the temptation that I fell in to,
but to also reflect on who I am in Christ and how to enter back into that

Stoichiometry Lab Report
Stoichiometric Reactions with Phosphoric Acid
By Jaime Conklin
Partner: Deanna Ryan
CHE 120 03
Instructor: Mr. Cusumano
September 30, 2015
Purpose
The purpose of this experiment is to examine the stoichiometric relationship between reagents and the
identity of the products by using three acid/base neutralization reactions of a triprotic acid, phosphoric
acid, and varying molar equivalents of sodium hydroxide. The data will be used to determine the
formula weight of the products and identify the remaining salt for all three reactions.
Introduction
In this experiment, we learned about stoichiometry, empirical formula, molecular formula, polyprotic
acids and bases, metathesis reactions, and moles.
Stoichiometry is a very important part of chemistry. Stoichiometry refers to calculating the masses of
molecules and their products . The reactants are usually given and stoichiometry is used to find the
products of the equations as well balancing the equation. An example of this would be sodium
chloride (NaCl). Stoichiometry will say that if there are ten thousand atoms of sodium and one atom
of chlorine, only one molecule of sodium chloride can be made and that fact can never be changed.
Ex: 10,000Na + 1Cl → NaCl + 9,999Na
Empirical formulas represent the ratio of atoms in a formula. It is expressed in the simplest, small,
whole number ratio. The molecular formula can either be the empirical formula, or a multiple of the
empirical

Annotated Bibliography On Uniform Resource Locator
URL (Uniform Resource Locator, previously Universal Resource Locator) is the unique address for a
file that accessible on the Internet, is a reference to a web resource that specifies its location on a
computer network and a mechanism for retrieving it. (Rouse)
Most web browsers display the URL of a web page above the page in an address bar. A typical URL
could have the formhttp://www.example.com/index.html, which indicates a protocol (http), use to
access the file resource; a hostname/domain name (www.example.com), that identifies a specific
computer on the internet; and a file name (index.html), specifies the location of a file in that computer.
Like a key to the door, by entering the URL of a website in the web browser s address line, you can
get to the page in that website. Any file within the website can also be specified with a URL, like any
(HTML) web page.
A good URL is important to web analytics. Having the keywords inside the long URL to be user
friendly, a good URL let anyone understand what the page it leads to just by taking a look at it. For
example, (www.example.com/fruits/apple.html ). In this URL, we can clearly see that apple page are
from fruits folder, instead of the color red folder or else. In many occasions, web analysts look at the
performance of a similar set of pages as a group. The /fruits folder lets the web analyst filter, group,
and look at all the data only related to all the fruit pages. (Contributor, 2011)

The Dark Crystal Film Analysis Making its debut 1982, The Dark Crystal, created and directed by
puppeteers Jim Henson and Frank Oz, was a fantasy film that involved intricate puppeteers and
animatronics. Aside from The Muppets and Sesame Street, which involves more comedic skits to
relay their message to its viewers, The Dark Crystal was a different kind of muppet movie because it
used fantasy, fiction and action to tell its story. With this change in Jim Henson s usual way of story
telling, the fantasy aspect of the movie becomes associated with the narrative patterns and functions of
Propp. As the story line progresses throughout the film, some of the 31 ... Show more content on

Later in the film, both Jen and Kira arrive at the Castle of the Crystal but is encountered by
Chamberlain again. This is significant because although Chamberlain attempts to deceive them again,
he ends up capturing Kira, forcing Jen and Chamberlain to join in direct combat , exhibiting the
sixteenth function of Propp. This demonstrates an aspect of one of the struggles a hero has to face in
his or her journey. As Jen attempts to rescue Kira, he finds the location of the dark crystal , bring him
one step closer in achieving his quest. The final challenge is presented when Jen is on top of the dark
crystal and after a failed attempt, resulting in the death of Kira, Jen succeeds in the end by uniting the
shard with the dark crystal fulfilling the prophecy and restoring the planet to its previous state. Thus
showing the final function of Propp: resolution of the task. All these functions create the structure of
Henson s fantasy movie and helps tell a story that keeps its viewers wanting to know what is going to
happen next. With Henson using these narrative patterns and intricately designed puppets to tell a
story to children, it provides a change from laughter and comedy to something filled with excitement
and suspense. In doing so, it gives children a chance to enter a different dimension and maximize their
ability to imagine. Fairytales and fantasies have existed to tell children s stories because of their ability

This Paper Will Describe The Sociocultural And Demographic
This paper will describe the sociocultural and demographic trends of grocery retailing. The
sociocultural and demographic trends are a part of the external environmental analysis of a company
or industry. One popular trend in the sociocultural environment of grocery retailing is the trend of
becoming healthier and wanting grocery stores to offer organic and fresh foods rather than processed
foods. The demographic trend will focus on how grocery retailers market to different age groups in the
United States, as well as around the world. Grocery retailers around the world can take into
consideration these two trends and work towards a better understanding of what their consumers want
and desire. General Environmental ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One trend that seems to come to mind when talking about grocery retailing in a sociocultural sense is
the trend of offering fresh and organic items in supermarkets as well as in local grocery stores. The
everyday consumer is starting to realize that being healthy is not entirely about working out, but it is
also about what kinds of food you put into your body. Therefore, people in today s day and time, will
do whatever it takes to make sure they are their healthiest, and that they look the best. According to
the article, Consumers Want Healthy Foods And They Will Pay More for Them, about 88% of
consumers are willing to pay the higher prices for the fresh and organic foods that grocery stores
supply (Gagliardi, 2015). This could be because the health fad that has presented itself today is much
stronger than those in years past. According to an article that was published by the University of
Kentucky College of Agriculture, many grocers are finding that customers are changing their
preferences about their food, and are now wanting fresh foods and organic foods in their local
supermarkets. This paired with increasing transportation costs are causing grocers to rethink the ideas
and processes of large centralized distribution centers (Ernst Woods, 2012). Demographic Forces A
second general external environment is the demographic force. This force includes different things

office job, with a satirical twist to the dilemmas and struggles they endure. The movie opens with
main character Peter Gibbons and his two co workers Michael Bolton and Samir Nagheenanajar
having a rough Monday morning in Intech, the software company they work for. And throughout the
movie, the hardships of working for managers that are uncaring and overbearing, being confined in

Pros And Cons Of California Town Hall Meetings
A California town is being threatened with a lawsuit over a 12 hour prayer rally held outside the city
hall for a 6 year old girl who was shot last week, and for an upcoming town hall meeting at a property
belonging to a Christian organization. City mayor Anthony Silva received a letter from the American
Humanist Association and Stockton Area Atheists and Freethinkers, telling him that the prayer rally
held at a public property violated the Constitution. The rally was dedicated to the 6 year old child who
was wounded in gunfire aimed at the car she was riding with her mother. The mayor had organized the
rally in hopes of ending homicidal violence, of which the little girl was 40th victim. My city had its

Mayors and other public officials cannot use the machinery of the state to push their religious agendas.
Using the state to promote prayer violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment and
alienates community members of minority faiths and of no faith, AHA senior counsel Monica Miller
said in a statement. The letter also complained that the town hall meetings should not take place at
properties of Christian organizations such as of Christian Life Center, where it is set to take place on
November 30. There is similarly no secular purpose for holding town hall meetings in religious
Christian venues, especially when there are ample secular government venues available. And clearly,
there is no secular purpose in having a city sponsored town hall meeting hosted by a Christian
organization. The city s rejection of the alternative of wholly secular [venues] makes it very clear that
its purpose of holding the town hall meetings in churches is

Freud on Happiness
The everlasting question of What is Happiness? has been inquired since the creation of men.
Unfortunately, the only agreed answer that humanity came up with is that all the creatures seek
happiness, but no one has the concrete directions for achieving it. Our libraries are overwhelmed with
books about happiness, but no dictionary definition explains which path men must take to be happy.
No mathematician gave us the axiom which we could use to solve the problem of living in bliss. No
scientist brought up the formula of fusing certain ingredients to produce the drink of happiness . Still
almost all the people consider that their ultimate purport in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

To say it better would be to cite the words of Freud, himself: What we call happiness, in the strictest
sense, comes from the (preferably sudden) satisfaction of needs which have been dammed up to a high
degree (Freud 254).
Freud proposes the Principle of Satisfaction when aiming to be happy, in other words a problem of
satisfying a person s instinctual wishes (Freud 263). Consequently, he concludes that because our
appetite can never be fulfilled, the attainment of happiness will be nothing else than pessimistic. Also,
he notes, that not all pleasures or wishes can be satisfied as soon as they are conceived. Freud presents
the example of a baby, who, initially, believes that all his/her wishes should be gratified, and only later
learns, form the Reality Principle, the harsh truth, that the wishes can not be satisfied instantaneously.
More than that, life teaches men that in order to experience happiness one must sacrifice the instant
gratification of his/her desires in order to achieve happiness in future. A simple example would be
when a businessman decides to work overtime in order to receive more money and, thus, receive more
pleasure, of course temporary and in future.
So, Freud speculates on the conjecture that our universe or our world was created in such a way, that
we are not be able to live happily for a prolonged time (Farrell 11). He introduces the Principle of
Reality, the negative way of achieving happiness, when man strives to avoid

Gertrude s Tragic End Of Shakespeare s Hamlet
John (Zhiyao) Ma

March 11, 2015
Gertrude s Tragic End The nature of Shakespeare s plays, with its notable lack of stage directions,
gives way to multiple different interpretations of the characters, plot, and even of the purpose of the
play itself. The character of Gertrude is no exception. Gertrude s character and motives, being left
ambiguous, have been interpreted in many different ways in various productions of Hamlet. Was she
implicit in the death of King Hamlet, or was she merely a clueless bystander? Did she drink the poison
as an act of motherly self sacrifice, or was it an accidental tragedy? Zefferelli s Hamlet (1990) and
Almereyda s Hamlet (2000) provide two different interpretations on Gertrude s characterization. In
particular, there exist substantial differences in their renditions of Gertrude s death while Almereyda
portrays her death as a noble suicide, Zefferelli paints her death as a by product of her unceasing lust
for pleasure. Furthermore, in that scene, we also notice a difference in Hamlet s attitude towards
Gertrude. By analyzing these points along with other scenes within the context of the entire film, we
manage to develop an understanding of Almereyda s and Zefferelli s view on Gertrude and how use
that to develop the tragic conclusion of the final scene. Almereyda s rendition of Gertrude s death
portrays her death as a noble act of self sacrifice. [Clip 1 Gertrude s end]. At the beginning of the
fencing duel, we see her

Imperialism DBQ Essay examples
A.P. U.S. II DBQ
What role did Imperialism play in shaping U.S. foreign policy in the late 19th and early 20th
centuries?
Prior to the late 19th century, the United States was preoccupied with domestic affairs and simply used
the Monroe Doctrine as their lone foreign policy. By the late 19th century, however, domestic
concerns suppressed just enough to let foreign issues take the spotlight. The Industrial Revolution
brought mass production, which forced the United States to seek a new global market for trade.
America also became increasingly concerned with intervening in Latin American affairs and spreading
democracy to less powerful nations. Due to the aforementioned factors, imperialism played a pivotal
role in shaping American foreign ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Intervention in Latin America, mainly Cuba, also led to the Spanish American War. When the
American naval ship, the USS Maine, exploded in the Havana Harbor, President McKinley
immediately decided to go to war after being labeled a coward by yellow journalists. This is a prime
example of how incidents in Latin American countries forced presidents to act rapidly and without
much thought, causing America to form a bold and aggressive foreign policy.
According to the United States, democracy and Christianity were principal elements of a successful
society. During the end of the eighteen hundreds and throughout the beginning of the nineteen
hundreds, America tried to colonize and reform less fortunate nations. Following a social Darwinist
point of view, Americans took their God given superiority to those who were incapable of establishing
their own self government (Doc. H). After much debate, American foreign policy towards the
Philippines and Cuba was that it is our duty to rule them until they could rule themselves. We pledged
to save the indigenous people from their savage, bloody, and corrupt ways of life. President McKinley
s foreign policy towards the Philippines stated that they would soon have anarchy and misrule...there
was nothing left to do but take them all, educate the Filipinos, and uplift and civilize them (Doc. A).
Imperialistic fervor was spreading more than ever during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The
United States was eager to propel itself

The Importance Of Outdoor Recreation On The Environment
INTRODUCTION There is no doubt that planet Earth is ever changing. The emergence of new
species, extinction of extant species, rise and fall of climate, and much more are completely natural
occurrences; however, there is one terrifying force that changes the world much faster than most of its
inhabitants can handle: humans. Ever since humans began to populate the Earth, we have been
exploiting natural resources and depleting populations, thus harming countless communities and
ecosystems. As our population continues to increase, we destroy more and more natural habitats,
negatively impacting biological diversity by decreasing the abundance of individuals per species
(Hunter 2007). Many studies in the past have looked into how overexploitation of resources, habitat
loss due to development, and the release of fossil fuels from production result in the decline of
biodiversity (Goulletquer et al. 2014), but one form of human disturbance is often overlooked:
recreation. The increasing popularity of outdoor recreation can affect wildlife in numerous ways,
usually resulting in the avoidance of disturbed habitat (Coppes et al. 2017).
Many studies have been done observing the impact of human disturbance on flagship species in
popular recreational destinations such as forests and oceans. For instance, one study done in the
Southern Black Forest revealed that red deer avoided areas near hiking trails, preferred to live in
dense, undisturbed areas in the forest, and were more active

Malaria As A Vector Borne Disease
Malaria
Introduction
Malaria is a Vector borne disease that affects millions of people every year. It is responsible for over
600,000 deaths yearly. It has the highest infection rate in countries in Africa, this is due to the climate
and health practices. It is carried to humans primarily through mosquitos who transfer between people
when they bite them. In this way, the mosquito is the transport between two humans for the disease.
The disease is transferred through blood and continues to the liver where it enters liver cells. From
there it is put back into the blood in larger numbers and is carried around the body to hijack and shut
down many different systems and functions. In this way it involves almost every system in the body.

Since Smallpox is no longer a danger people are no longer immune to it so if it did get out then it
would cause a pandemic. Malaria has less of a chance of that because it requires mosquitos for rapid
spreading, but there is still a danger of that. I have twice traveled to a country that is at risk for
malaria. If I had contracted it there I could easily have returned to America with it inside me without
being aware of it. This is the only known way that the disease still enters the country.
Malaria s age speaks of an adaptability to it, when comparing a sample from ancient China to one
today there are huge differences to be seen. This indicates that Malaria has a large past that there is
very little known about. Possibly the answer to the ideal treatment lives in its past. By looking at the
past it is possible to see how to form the future.
Anatomy Physiology
Malaria enters the bloodstream with the bite of an infected mosquito it is called a sporocyte. It then
travels to the liver where it rapidly multiplies which is called exo erythrocytic replication
(malaria.com). From there it travels again into the bloodstream. Merozoites infect red blood cells and
continue to replicate there, this bursts the cell. The bursting of the cell spreads the infection and causes
many of the symptoms of Malaria. The infected blood cells also stick to the walls of small blood
vessels near major

The Causes And Effects Of Propaganda During World War II
What is propaganda? Propaganda is the spreading of ideas information or rumors spread deliberately
to further one s cause or to damage an opposing cause. This concept can be really profitable and
influential when utilized towards a community of people. It becomes even more efficient when it s
employed in community filled with uncertainty. Before World War ll had begun most of Europe and
Asia was going through a period of uncertainty with new ideas and new dictatorship for
example, fascism, which had risen during the nineteenth century. In continuation, in the novel Making
sense of Tyranny states Accordingly there was little sense of that uncertainty and instability that
characterizes life in the classical dictatorship. (Simon Tormey). The quote documents how one of
logical reason that dictatorship is displayed is when uncertainty takes place. In addition of uncertainty,
the Great Depression was arising in the early 1900s, this gives another bulge of uncertainty. Moreover,
uncertainty leads to more citizens believing anything and everything being said by anyone even if it s
true or not which is the supremacy to efficacious propaganda. Now, during time of war the concept of
propaganda can be highly beneficial. Propaganda was highly authenticate during World War II, it
played a major contribution to war, and it s still in critical use till this day. So was propaganda the
weapon that killed six million jews, and can genocide happen again? Propaganda

Teen Prescription Drug Abuse In High School
Teen Prescription Drug Abuse
Doesn t matter what age, drugs are going to be used and abuse. From the time we are born, till the day
we die, prescription drugs are prescribed for doctor approved use. Most prescription drugs are given to
help control a disease, an imbalance, sickness, etc. With teenage drug abuse on the rise in most US
high schools, has become a problem parents are noticing among their children. Being a parent to a
teenage child who has meddled with prescription drugs has been an unbelievable eye opener. Teens
know who they get these drugs from; fellow students, friends, parents cabinets. Educating parents and
discussing the risks with teens about the effects prescription drugs can cause is important to helping
prevent this from continuing. Prescription drug abuse amongst teens in high school is becoming a
dilemma. Teens are finding it easy to get drugs at school by either buying it off other students or
getting it from friends who got it from someone else. This has become a huge problem amongst the
youth. With most high schools having campus police, they are finding it hard to crack down on drugs
entering the campus (Officer Landivar). As a mother to a teen child who has abused prescription drugs
has damaged the trust that was graciously given. US high school aged teens have abused prescription
drugs and illegal drugs. Most times it is intentional and others, peer pressure. Trust between parent and
child is damaged by the actions the child has taken.

The Most Common Motivational Management Theories
Motivational management seems straightforward at first, until you take into consideration all the
different elements that encompass a successful business. In order to keep a company in the forefront
of its market as well as retaining quality employees, managers need to be aware of all these elements.
They range from the sociological, demographic, economic and psychological state of the community
or individual at a point in time. That is to say that what motivated employees in the early 20th century
does not necessarily motivate them in the 21st century. For a manager to create a work environment
that is conducive to success it is necessary to learn all of the different theories that surround the skill
of motivating employees. It is also necessary to stay in contact with the current social and economic
conditions of the individuals that one manages. We will review the most common motivational
management theories that date back from the 1940 s and review how they can still apply today. One
might think that with the global market, telecommuting and the e leaders coming of age that these
theories may not apply anymore. Application of these theories with e leaders is proving, thus far, to be

Homelessness In America
A growing problem in America is homeless families. Most families that are homeless have at least one
or two children. Being homeless as a child can have severe effects on that child s education and
development. Homeless children may have trouble focusing in class not only because they were not
able to do the homework, but also because they may not have had enough to eat or a decent place to
sleep, and they may be emotionally overwhelmed by the upheavals in their personal lives ( Over One
Million U.S. Kids are Homeless ). Many things can contribute to homelessness, for instance; poverty,
lack of affordable housing, job loss, economic insecurity, etc. America needs to stabilize shelters,
move homeless people into permanent housing, execute assistance programs to help people maintain
their housing, and expand local government support for the development of affordable housing units.
Homeless shelters do already exist in America, but most are filthy and are invaded with bedbugs and
body lice. Most large homeless shelters do not have proper ventilation, causing it to get extremely hot
during the summer. Even though families do stay in these shelters, it is unsafe and gross. Homeless
shelters in America are mostly funded from donations, meaning that homeless shelters do not have
very large funds. Therefore, homeless shelters should be funded by the government. With the proper
funding, shelters could be properly built and be able to maintain cleanliness. If homeless shelters

Analysis Of One Flew Over The Cuckoo s Nest
One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest Essay: Power Dynamics In The Cuckoo s Nest
She aint honest ... She likes a rigged game (Forman One Flew Over The Cuckoo s Nest Film). Power
can be used as a source of evil or heroism. It has the capacity to control and manipulate people.
However, it also has the capability to champion freedom and rights for others. In the novel One Flew
Over The Cuckoo s Nest, Nurse Ratchet s controlling power came from her ability to emasculate the
male patients and maintain a sexless façade. She also held in place an extensive system of rules and
regulations, as well as an ordered routine. McMurphy s liberating power derived from his rebellion
against the ward rules and his open sexuality which granted him confidence. ... Show more content on

For instance, McMurphy places a bet on whether or not he could lift up a marble control panel, throw
it at a window to escape, and go watch a sports game at a bar. A few of the patients agreed to going
with him, but everyone (including McMurphy) knew that lifting the control panel would be
impossible. His aim in doing this was to show the other group members that they could claim their
rights if they were being wrongfully denied. McMurphy wanted the men to reclaim their masculinity
and engage in stereotypical manly activities; going to a bar, watching sports, having a drink. After he
attempts to lift the control panel he asserts Well, I tried, didn t I? Goddamnit, at least I did that. (Kesey
111). As a result, McMurphy enabled the patients to see the power of rebellion and that while they
may not always succeed in their endeavours it is worth the attempt. The Chief, our narrator, is a shy
Native American who pretends to be deaf and dumb to remain invisible on the ward. This allows him
to be an observer which offers him a measure of self protection. Most of the patients treat Chief like
an object. However, McMurphy continually tries to communicate with him. For example, he states I
swear you re the biggest Indian I ever saw (Kesey 219). As in most cases, McMurphy motivates and
imparts confidence in numerous men during his stay at the asylum. One of the primary acutes he
encourages is Bromden, as McMurphy is the only person who is able to make Chief Bromden, who

Example Of Premium Pasta Maker
Premium Pasta Maker:
Instructions on How to Use:
You first need to mix up your ingredients for the dough, of course. Make sure that the dough is not so
moist that it will stick to your pasta maker. Also, make sure that the dough is not too dry, or it will fall
apart when it comes out. Mother thing that makes it easier when using this pasta maker is to have two
people working it. One will need to hold on to the dough and feed it in while another turns the crank
to make sure that the dough does not try to bunch up and get clumpy. Do this a little at a time so that
you can straighten the dough as it comes out so that there is not just a big lump of clay at the end of
the process. All in all, it is a very simple process even though it is a bit easier with two people working
together.

Euro/USD Exchange rate
December 7, 2015
Exchange Rate
The exchange rate between countries determines one currency s strength in comparison to another.
These rates also oversee the economic growth and the currency purchasing power of countries.
Therefore, exchange rates are vital in ensuring that one country can maintain its value versus the US
dollar which is the most dominant currency. Currently, the Euro/USD exchange rate is at 1.0666. This
paper strives to give clear predictions on the value of the Euro against the USD short term and long
term. The rate is expected to continue decreasing or rather the US dollar is expected to gain strength
against the Euro in the near future as a result of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is unlikely for the Euro to gain stability based on the current market movement and expected market
movement in the next three months. With fed intervention, it is expected to see the Euro/USD
exchange rate rise to 1.05, (Eurorateforecast.com, 2015). The Euro is expected to continue declining
for the next three months and even in the foreseeable future. The declining rate has enabled currencies
such as USD and Sterling Pounds to make gains against the Euro in a very substantial manner. The
declining rate of the Euro/USD exchange rate is expected to follow the trend outlined below in the
next three months. The Euro/USD exchange rate is expected to fall to 1.07 in a period of one month
and then to 1.05 in three months. The latter will see the USD gain strength against the Euro, (Bank,
2015). The strength of Euro mainly depends on the desire of private investors to hold assets in Euros.
The European Central Bank has failed to check the anti inflationary measures that will assist in seeing
the Euro strengthen against the US Dollar. The Central bank has also failed to maintain the price
stability that has facilitated the continued deterioration of the Euro.
The Euro/USD exchange rate is expected to decline further to 0.98 in two years due to the various
factors that

Consequently, inadequate business sector liquidity will have resultant effect on a national bank s exercises both as a moneylender of final resort and in its supervision of budgetary strength. • 3. Reincarnation Is Not A Recent Problem Reincarnation is one of the world s greatest mysteries in modern science. People still do not know what is going on after the death, so the phenomenon of reincarnation cannot be explained correctly. However, it is unusual to have memories from previous life, but stories about children who have memories from their earlier lives make the idea of reincarnation real. Studying of reincarnation may help scientists to discover still unviewed corners of human soul. Summary Of Square Dance By Roger Mcgough Roger McGough s poetry critiques his contemporary 60 s society, commenting on the substandard aspect of humanity and articulating the concept that war ultimately brings out the worst in even the best of people. The Post World War 2 period, with the threat of a nuclear war, emphasised the need for change. This is illustrated through McGough s poem, Noah s Arc. The title acts as a biblical allusion providing contextual insight into the concept of the universal destructive nature of humanity through this satirical poem. • 7. Chinese Immigrants Essay Chinese Americans have arrived to the United States through three waves of immigration. The journey of immigrating to the United States consisted of many obstacles and hardships. Chinese Americans have been in this country for centuries, and still remain one of the smallest minority minorities. To this day, they are still perceived as foreigners in the eyes of other Americans, and have been victimized for their successes. To gain a deeper understanding of Chinese immigration, we must look at the Chinese American experience of immigrant jobs, exclusion and discrimination, and the model minority stereotype. The first wave of Chinese immigrants arrived during the gold rush era. These immigrants were mostly young men that found work as ploughmen, laundrymen, placer miners, woolen spinners and weavers, domestic servants, cigar makers, shoe makers, and railroad builders (Lee 71). Many immigrants came during this period because the United States provided economic opportunities these immigrants were seeking. For others, coming the United States meant achieving the Gold Mountain Dream, which was to earn money and return back home rich (Lee 66). Chinese workers also ran their own business. The two most common were laundries, and restaurants which were considered women s work because these were typically tasks done by women at home (Lee 75). The Human Pancreas Is An Organ Of Both Endocrine And Exocrine The human pancreas is an organ of both endocrine and exocrine function in regulating blood sugars and aiding in digestion respectively. About 95 percent of the human pancreas is made of exocrine tissue and the remaining of endocrine. In exocrine glands, secretions flow through ducts into a body cavity, such as the nasal passage or urinary tract, rather than directly into the circulation of the bloodstream, which is a characteristic of the endocrine pancreas. The exocrine pancreas is split into two major substituents, the acini and the duct system, each comprised of intralobular and interlobular components. Leakage prevention of the duct system is carried out by the Zonula Occludens intercellular tight junctions between the duct and acinar cells. The pancreatic duct, also known as the duct of Wirsung, connects the pancreas to the bile duct. Hence, allowing the pancreatic juices to be transported to the gall bladder to fuse with bile, aiding in digestion and neutralization of gastric acids. In the case of the exocrine glands, secretions consist of aqueous mixtures. Enzyme secretion in the pancreas is stimulated by the vagus and a hormone called pancreozymin, which is formed when it is exposed to proteoses or peptones. The pancreas releases 1000 to 1500 ml of pancreatic juice into the pancreatic duct each day. Secretions of the pancreas consists of two principal constituents, an alkaline fluid and enzymes such as lipase, protease and α amylase that are necessary for digestion of fats, proteins and carbohydrates in vertebrates respectively. The question of the Does liability follows a very similar analysis of that of the City of Milwaukee, with a few exceptions. First, Bongo s conduct in shooting the gun will likely be attributed to the Milwaukee Does as the operator of the event under the legal theory of respondeat superior. Second, in contrast to the City, the Does will likely not fall under a safe place because they do not own the arena. The legal theory of respondeat superior stands for the proposition that through vicarious liability a master may be liable for the acts of his or her servants in the course of his or her employment. Under this legal theory courts have found basketball teams labile for the actions of mascots employed by the team for the negligent acts of the mascot during the course of game. That is the very moment that I reflect on when thinking about my spiritual pilgrimage. I had accepted Christ into my life at a young age, but did not fully understand the depth of that relationship that I was entering into. I made poor decisions my first two years in high school, and after realizing my choices I was making, my dad questioned if I truly accepted Christ in the first place. I knew I had accepted Christ into my life and received the gift of the Holy Spirit; however, I fell into temptation and quenched the Holy Spirit when alerting me what I was doing was very wrong. My junior year was a year full of healing and restoring for both me and my family. I believe that was the beginning of my spiritual pilgrimage in that sense that I was finally understanding how to participate in the grace to grace relationship with God. My parents quickly removed me from the public high school I was attending and placed me into a small Christian high school. My youth group leader s wife, Mandy, was the math teacher, and she quickly became my mentor for the next two years. I had met with her several times before, but was never truly honest with her about my struggles and difficulties of understanding my relationship with God. Stoichiometry Lab Report Stoichiometric Reactions with Phosphoric Acid By Jaime Conklin Partner: Deanna Ryan CHE 120 03 Instructor: Mr. Cusumano September 30, 2015 Purpose The purpose of this experiment is to examine the stoichiometric relationship between reagents and the identity of the products by using three acid/base neutralization reactions of a triprotic acid, phosphoric acid, and varying molar equivalents of sodium hydroxide. The data will be used to determine the formula weight of the products and identify the remaining salt for all three reactions. Introduction In this experiment, we learned about stoichiometry, empirical formula, molecular formula, polyprotic acids and bases, metathesis reactions, and moles. Stoichiometry is a very important part of chemistry. Stoichiometry refers to calculating the masses of molecules and their products . The reactants are usually given and stoichiometry is used to find the products of the equations as well balancing the equation. An example of this would be sodium chloride (NaCl). Stoichiometry will say that if there are ten thousand atoms of sodium and one atom of chlorine, only one molecule of sodium chloride can be made and that fact can never be changed. Ex: 10,000Na + 1Cl → NaCl + 9,999Na Empirical formulas represent the ratio of atoms in a formula. It is expressed in the simplest, small, whole number ratio. According to the article, Consumers Want Healthy Foods And They Will Pay More for Them, about 88% of consumers are willing to pay the higher prices for the fresh and organic foods that grocery stores supply (Gagliardi, 2015). This could be because the health fad that has presented itself today is much stronger than those in years past. According to an article that was published by the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, many grocers are finding that customers are changing their preferences about their food, and are now wanting fresh foods and organic foods in their local supermarkets. This paired with increasing transportation costs are causing grocers to rethink the ideas and processes of large centralized distribution centers (Ernst Woods, 2012). The rally was dedicated to the 6 year old child who was wounded in gunfire aimed at the car she was riding with her mother. Freud on Happiness Essay Varea Romanenco FLAN 257 November 24, 2007 Sr. Elena Arminio Freud on Happiness The everlasting question of What is Happiness? has been inquired since the creation of men. Unfortunately, the only agreed answer that humanity came up with is that all the creatures seek happiness, but no one has the concrete directions for achieving it. Our libraries are overwhelmed with books about happiness, but no dictionary definition explains which path men must take to be happy. No mathematician gave us the axiom which we could use to solve the problem of living in bliss. No scientist brought up the formula of fusing certain ingredients to produce the drink of happiness . To say it better would be to cite the words of Freud, himself: What we call happiness, in the strictest sense, comes from the (preferably sudden) satisfaction of needs which have been dammed up to a high degree (Freud 254). Freud proposes the Principle of Satisfaction when aiming to be happy, in other words a problem of satisfying a person s instinctual wishes (Freud 263). Consequently, he concludes that because our appetite can never be fulfilled, the attainment of happiness will be nothing else than pessimistic. Also, he notes, that not all pleasures or wishes can be satisfied as soon as they are conceived. Freud presents the example of a baby, who, initially, believes that all his/her wishes should be gratified, and only later learns, form the Reality Principle, the harsh truth, that the wishes can not be satisfied instantaneously. More than that, life teaches men that in order to experience happiness one must sacrifice the instant gratification of his/her desires in order to achieve happiness in future. A simple example would be when a businessman decides to work overtime in order to receive more money and, thus, receive more pleasure, of course temporary and in future. So, Freud speculates on the conjecture that our universe or our world was created in such a way, that we are not be able to live happily for a prolonged time (Farrell 11). He introduces the Principle of Reality, the negative way of achieving happiness, when man strives to avoid ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gertrude s Tragic End Of Shakespeare s Hamlet John (Zhiyao) Ma 21L.009, Shakespeare March 11, 2015 Gertrude s Tragic End The nature of Shakespeare s plays, with its notable lack of stage directions, gives way to multiple different interpretations of the characters, plot, and even of the purpose of the play itself. The character of Gertrude is no exception. Gertrude s character and motives, being left ambiguous, have been interpreted in many different ways in various productions of Hamlet. Was she implicit in the death of King Hamlet, or was she merely a clueless bystander? Did she drink the poison as an act of motherly self sacrifice, or was it an accidental tragedy? Zefferelli s Hamlet (1990) and Almereyda s Hamlet (2000) provide two different interpretations on Gertrude s characterization. In particular, there exist substantial differences in their renditions of Gertrude s death while Almereyda portrays her death as a noble suicide, Zefferelli paints her death as a by product of her unceasing lust for pleasure. Furthermore, in that scene, we also notice a difference in Hamlet s attitude towards Gertrude. By analyzing these points along with other scenes within the context of the entire film, we manage to develop an understanding of Almereyda s and Zefferelli s view on Gertrude and how use that to develop the tragic conclusion of the final scene. Almereyda s rendition of Gertrude s death portrays her death as a noble act of self sacrifice. [Clip 1 Gertrude s end]. At the beginning of the fencing duel, we see her ... By the late 19th century, however, domestic concerns suppressed just enough to let foreign issues take the spotlight. According to the United States, democracy and Christianity were principal elements of a successful society. During the end of the eighteen hundreds and throughout the beginning of the nineteen hundreds, America tried to colonize and reform less fortunate nations. • 32. The Importance Of Outdoor Recreation On The Environment INTRODUCTION There is no doubt that planet Earth is ever changing. The emergence of new species, extinction of extant species, rise and fall of climate, and much more are completely natural occurrences; however, there is one terrifying force that changes the world much faster than most of its inhabitants can handle: humans. Ever since humans began to populate the Earth, we have been exploiting natural resources and depleting populations, thus harming countless communities and ecosystems. As our population continues to increase, we destroy more and more natural habitats, negatively impacting biological diversity by decreasing the abundance of individuals per species (Hunter 2007). Many studies in the past have looked into how overexploitation of resources, habitat loss due to development, and the release of fossil fuels from production result in the decline of biodiversity (Goulletquer et al. 2014), but one form of human disturbance is often overlooked: recreation. The increasing popularity of outdoor recreation can affect wildlife in numerous ways, usually resulting in the avoidance of disturbed habitat (Coppes et al. 2017). Many studies have been done observing the impact of human disturbance on flagship species in popular recreational destinations such as forests and oceans. For instance, one study done in the Southern Black Forest revealed that red deer avoided areas near hiking trails, preferred to live in dense, undisturbed areas in the forest, and were more active ... They range from the sociological, demographic, economic and psychological state of the community or individual at a point in time.
