Editor's Notes

  1. Groupwork issues eliminated, and collaboration between groups promoted. The apps don’t need teaching – they are very intuitive.
  2. Authentic assessment meant that students were more enthusiastic. Stopped worrying about grades – focus on producing something outstanding. Allowed students to develop digital literacy skills and to develop skills for working life whilst engaging fully with the subject content.
  3. Students had the tools to be creative, and to achieve their vision of a high-quality end product. They were in control and so their motivation levels were high.
  4. More hits than School website – a good way of engaging with our prospective students, and a good way for our students to engage in Knowledge Exchange activity.
