I, like many new LaGuardia students, would walk around campus with my head down in
disappointment with myself. Every time somebody asked where I went to school I would cringe
and respond softly LaGuardia Community College and would get a response like oh that s good
as if to spare my feelings. Unfortunately, LaGuardia like many other community colleges
nationwide have a negative connotation associated with them because they are the institutions that
accept those students that did not make it to other private or public universities. Or those students

The Importance Of A Four Day Work
Introduction The definition of a four day work week varies depending who you are talking to. It
can refer to four eight hour days; four ten hour days; or even four twelve to fourteen hour days.
However all variations of a four day work week fall under the umbrella term alternative work
arrangement. This term refers to any work schedule that varies from the standard five, eight
hour work day that the majority of the United States population is used to (Bird 1063). For the
purposes of this paper I will be talking about a compressed four day work week, not a shortened
four day work week or extended four day work week, this refers to a four hour work week I will
be talking about a schedule that consists of four, ten hour days, which is still a full forty hour
work week. I will be taking a close look at the benefits and drawback to both the employer and
the employee when it comes to working a four day work week. In addition to looking at the

Developmental Stages
From the early stages of a team forming, to the end when a team complete its goal(s) there are
many dis agreements that need to resolved and many responsibilities to be taken up and these are

shown, (albeit with differing opinions), by several theorists.
In 1965, B. Tuckman published his idea of how groups assemble by using his Forming, Storming,
Norming and Performing model . You could say that his theory is a helpful explanation of team
development, but they may differ from one individual to another. The model does explain how the
team develops its maturity, through establishing working relationships. It also connotes the
leadership style changing; from a directing style, to coaching, then participating and delegating
before almost being detached.
Stage one of his model is the Forming stage, where the leader must be prepared to answer many

special needs are slightly different from non disabled kids, but they re should not be a barrier
between non disabled children and children with disabilities. Special needs covers a wide range.
Some children with physical disabilities use wheelchair, or cane while other children with learning
disabilities such as, autism, or emotional disorder. Children with special needs are like all children
they want to make friends. Non disability children want respect, love, good education and job of
their dream. Children with special needs can do the same things non disabled kid do, but it can take
them longer. It requires additional explanation or attention. Parents of children with special needs
usually feel isolated and uncertain about their child s future. Schools can help them find support
that children are not alone and help is available. Teachers should meet with parents in order to get
