Good Persuasive Essays
Crafting a persuasive essay on the subject of "Good Persuasive Essays" can present a
paradoxical challenge. On one hand, the topic seems self-referential, demanding a level of meta-
awareness that adds a layer of complexity. It necessitates the ability to not only discuss
persuasive writing in general but also to persuasively articulate what constitutes a good
persuasive essay. This requires a profound understanding of persuasive techniques, rhetorical
strategies, and an awareness of the dynamic interplay between language and persuasion.
Moreover, the challenge lies in avoiding a circular argument where the essay itself becomes a
demonstration of persuasive elements. Striking a balance between theoretical exploration and
practical application becomes crucial. Addressing the essence of persuasion while exemplifying it
within the essay is a delicate task that demands precision and finesse.
Additionally, the demand for originality is heightened when discussing the qualities of a good
persuasive essay. The risk of falling into clichГ©s or reiterating commonly known principles is
ever-present. Crafting a unique perspective or presenting a fresh angle on the topic requires a
thorough exploration of existing literature on persuasive writing, pushing the boundaries of
conventional thought.
Navigating through the vast sea of persuasive essay topics to select one that resonates with both
the writer and the audience can be another hurdle. The chosen topic must be captivating,
relevant, and allow for a multifaceted exploration of persuasive elements, making the writing
process more engaging for both the writer and the reader.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "Good Persuasive Essays" involves a nuanced approach that
requires a deep understanding of persuasive techniques, a commitment to originality, and the
ability to navigate the challenges inherent in discussing a topic that is, in essence, about the very
act of persuasion.
For those seeking assistance with such complex writing tasks, various resources are available.

Technological Advancements In Space Exploration
For all of humankind s existence, people have gazed at the cosmos in wonderment,
trying to wrap their minds around the complexities of the universe. Scientist and
researchers are on the brink of finally being able to learn about the way the universe
works. It has only been in the past few decades where researchers have been able to
use current technology to efficiently collect information and process it. There have
been many achievements that are due to the work in space science. NASAhas
contributed to creating many technologies such as ventricular assist devices, artificial
limbs, anti icing systems, video enhancing and analysis systems, to even enriched
baby food. NASA has led to various ways of improvement in society with their work
in space exploration. The technological advancements are in addition to the main
goal of space exploration, which is to gain a better understanding of the
fundamental laws of space. There needs to be an increase in funding for NASA so
they can conduct research to understand Earth as well as the rest of the celestial
bodies in space. By comprehending the objects in space, they can be utilized.
Mining asteroids could lead to a new found source of material that could provide
resources that are not easily accessible. Their research helps in exploring space,
working towards the point of traversing space to inhabit other worlds. People
generally have favorable opinions of NASA and their research but think that too
much money is spent in that field.
My Brother s Gameboy Essay
As a child the things that meant the most to me were shiny, colorful, and utterly
unattainable. From a young age I was taught that taking what was not yours without
asking was unbelievably wrong and would result in a never ending timeout. Fearing
an eternity spent sat in a corner thinking about what I had just done I made an early
habit of asking for things I wanted and forgetting about the things I could not have.
Unfortunately this lifestyle could only last so long and so at only four years old the
temptation became too much and I had convinced myself that the only solution was
to take what was not given to me. The year was 2001 and my older brother had
recently been given a brand new GameBoy Advanced. This incredible technological...

now that I was not allowed to have the one thing I desired I found my way to my
room. Needing a place to think I rolled under my bed and let the emotions settle in.
Disappointment won out as the more overwhelming emotion and I began to plot a
way to take what I felt was rightfully mine. I soon realized that I had no real idea of
how to enact my plan and became more frustrated. I knew I needed a second
opinion and intended to speak to Lucky when I realized that in my fit of despair I
had left him behind. I decided that a rescue mission was in order and climbed out
from under my bed. Sneaking through the house I reached my brother s room and
was shocked to find only Lucky there. I raced over lifting him from the bed and
hugging him close knowing he was once again safe. I turned to leave but right
before I could I noticed a faint noise coming from within the blankets. Lifting them I
found true temptation. There sat Joey s GameBoy taunting me as I stared in
wonderment. It dawned on me that I could just go back to my room and find a
different way to get the chance to play but with no one in sight I decided that taking

London s Olympic games 2012
As in the daytime there is no star in the sky warmer and brighter than the sun, so
there is no competition greater than the Olympic Games said Pindar, Greek lyric poet,

approached with creativity and experimentation.

c)Explain the structure and functions of the Judicial arm of government under the

its independence from the other branches of government.
Answers:
Montesquieu s Doctrine of Separation of Powers :
The doctrine of the division of powers is considered a conservative politically
legitimate belief that asserts that the state competence is not the only body s but
comparatively a synthesized peculiar authority activity the legislative, executive, and
judicial lugged away by the bodies of a nation all running independently . The
legislative executes rules, the executive carry out the rules, and the judiciary
translates the rules.
The traditional characterizations of the powers of the branches of American
government are:
The legal subdivision is given authority for the execution the rules of the nation and
allocating the necessary funds to run the democracy.
The executive subdivision is in charge of enforcing and conducting the policies of the
public executed and financed by the legal subdivision.
The judicial subdivision is in charge of carrying out the laws of the constitution,

Third World Countries
Genetically modified organisms have been a highly debated issue not only in the
United States but in third world countries. There are arguments stating that with the
help of genetically modified organisms world hunger may be conquered; likewise,
there are strong arguments refusing the use of genetically modified foods in
developing countries, since GMOs only help feed the already overfed rich. Using
genetically modified technology to improve crops in the developing world, is not a
solution when trying to end world hunger.
Many argue that developing genetically modified crops in third world countries
would be a positive impact not only economically, but environmentally.

Although, it may seem biased, in a quote stated by Amory and Hunter Lovins they
mention that Genetically engineered crops were created not because they re
productive, but because they re patentable. Their economic value is oriented not
toward helping subsistence farmers to feed themselves, but toward the already
overfed rich. In a study conducted by Nigel Taylor, cassava crops in developing
countries have continuously been attacked by whiteflies. Cassava crops serve as
vectors against diseases such as Mosaic and Brown Streak. (Jenkins, 179 180) These
insects have been kept away by spraying plants with pesticides, which is dangerous
for farmers and consumers, mentions Mckay Jenkins author of Food Fight .

According to John Robbins, When researchers compared the performance of
Monsanto s transgenic soybeans (World s number one Genetically engineered crop)
with those of conventional varieties grown under the same conditions, they found a
10 percent yield reduction for the genetically engineered soybeans .
Finding a common ground suitable for both sides was challenging but necessary; one
idea is planting our own food. The Natural Society Newsletter mentions that utilizing
perennial vegetables and incorporating permaculture, along with planting wild growth
may possibly save those in need.
Ultimate Art Exhibit, a Journey through Time Essay
There are many works of art and many different possible locations that could be
considered when trying to create would be classified as The Ultimate Art Exhibit .
For my project, I have decided to place my Art exhibit inside of Rome, Italy for
many reasons. One of which is that Rome is known to have very beautiful building
architecture and is known for great masterpieces such as The Pantheon and also the
Colosseum. Due to the extremely high number of tourists that Romegets year round,
if an art gallery that yielded extremely high expectations were placed here then it
would receive a very high volume of people daily. So due to this and its culture I
decided that Rome may be one of the better choices so the art exhibit will be placed...

Each of the halls that contains a different piece will have its own theme and design
to match the art that is used as a centerpiece inside of it. Each hall will also contain
elements to bring out the true nature of the art contained inside and to demonstrate
a sense of understanding for the piece itself and the time is was being created in. If
not understanding, then it would produce a sense of awe in many of the viewers in
the exhibit. The reason behind this theme was simply to be able to dedicate a gallery
to each of the individual masterpieces and put in some extra artistic touches to make
things far greater. It may be different than a standard Museum or art exhibit, but these
are some of the greatest achievements in historical art and they need a place that can
show their significance.
The first hall will contain Egyptian Art, and in particular Narmer s Palette. Narmer
s Palette was a symbol of art that displayed a scene of the unification between the
upper and lower divisions of Egypt (Kinnaer) and was the easiest example of
canonized art (Kinnaer) that we currently have. I chose this piece because not only
is it a symbol of Egyptian unification but because of its significance in the art world.
Narmer was displayed wearing both crowns and standing in a Victory pose which
was used to show his power over his enemies. This pose was adopted by other styles
of art to show power
Advantages Of Inter-Caste Marriages
Chapter 2
The Reality of Inter caste marriage
Caste is the social differentiator or divider of groups of people on the basis of the
birth of the child in a family. In other words, the occupation of the family, their status
in the society and few other elements make up the caste system in India. This caste
system started from the fall of the Mughals and was furthered by the British Raj.
There were a lot rules based on caste, when it came to the relationship between two
people that were of the same caste and also of different castes. On marriage, it was
assumed that marriage should only take place between people of the same caste. Inter
caste marriages were strictly prohibited.
Inter caste marriages are not really accepted that easily in India. Sometimes, it

Southern Gothic Irony In Stown
Southern Gothic literature is a very dark type of story telling where people either
talk too much or talk too little. It includes elements like violence all the way to the
general southern setting. The way the Southern Gothic story is written is really how
an audience is gets engaged into reading the story. If someone is more into the
events going on during the Civil War, they will be more likely to want to read a
classic Southern Gothic. If someone is more into reading about current controversies
and how they were discussed in the south, they will want to read a contemporary
piece of Southern Gothic literature. The podcast, Stown, is clearly a Southern Gothic
but has not yet been proven of what type. In order to evaluate what type of literature
Stown is, looking into the different elements that the podcast possesses is very
important. Stown is a piece of contemporary Southern Gothic literature because of the
irony, social issues, and violence in it.
Irony is the first element that has changed its definition when being added into
contemporary Southern Gothic literature. In a classic piece, irony is written into
conversation and events. As it s mentioned in Stown and written in contemporary
pieces, irony is taken in account for other parts of the story. With the modern irony in
Stown for this type of literature isn t just in conversation but is also shown in actions
and character. For example, John is ironic when he mentions women in conversation
for certain topics. He loves

Virgil s Aeneid Response
2 October 2017
In Virgil s Aeneid, the story is told after the events of the Trojan War in which
introduces Juno, the queen of the gods (in Rome/Hera in Greek) and she
demonstrates her masculinity and with her sleepless rage (Virgil930) over the actions
the Trojan s had especially with Paris. She was more concerned knowing that
generations born of Trojan blood would one day overthrow her Tyrian walls (931)
by bringing down her city, the city of Carthage and with her rage, she would attempt
to prevent that from happening which she does during her conversation with the god
of wind, Aeolus as she asks him to conjure up a storm to attack Aeneasand his men.
Unfortunately the seas were calmed by Neptune (Roman name for Poseidon). Juno,
to me, showed masculinity and feminine power however her hate for Trojan s makes
it seem to show how powerful of a character she can be. Another god, Aeneas mother
Venus (Roman for Aphrodite) showed her feminine side by protecting her son from
Juno and her actions to kill him. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Use of Lucifer in Quilting Essay
Use of Lucifer in Quilting
Lucifer is the epitome and personification of all that is evil according to the
traditional American perspective. His name has been linked with the name Satan so
that either name refers to the Devil in most of the western Christian tradition.
American culture, with its Puritan roots and Fundamentalist influences, has cast
Lucifer in the role of the eternal enemy of all that we hold to be good and
worthwhile. Preachers and others who teach Christian morality have described his
power as being great enough to tempt all of us, at the same time, into sin. He seeks
to lead us away from God and into his own realm of fear, torment, and undying agony
. He is to be shunned and feared, lest he bring us to ... Show more content on

In oh where have you fallen to... from Quilting, Heaven s response to the loss of
Lucifer is one of mourning where the speaker states that it is all shadow / in
heaven without you (5 6). This is certainly not the image of the eternal enemy that
we have been taught by everyone from the backwoods, country preacher to Dana
Carvey s character Church Lady on Saturday Night Live. The speaker in the poem
shows affection for Lucifer and implies that Heaven is less because of the loss of
him. Readers must readjust their assumptions regarding what the right feeling about
Lucifer is because, if one is taught to fear and avoid someone else, then the normal
result is the development of hatred toward the one that we are forced to fear and
avoid. Since the response of the speaker in the poem seems to be far from one of
hatred, then is the reader supposed to continue to hate him?
The issue becomes no less clouded in remembering the birth of lucifer from
Quilting when the speaker says that Lucifer s brilliant emergence from the littlest
finger / of God (4 5) caused the seraphim the highest rank of angels to believe that it
was too much for / one small heaven (12 13). This implies that Lucifer was a
brilliant creation of God whose very existence was a thing of wonder not the image
of a perverted scoundrel existing in the fear of heavenly retribution that has been
taught to many readers. Such brilliance from God s own hand is difficult to condemn.

Summary Of L. M Montgomery s Anne Of Green Gables
The Girl of Edward Island: Study of L. M. Montgomery
There are several key elements of the novel Anne of Green Gables, with multiple
links connecting the author L. M Montgomery s life to the life of her fictional
character, Anne. Despite its classification as fiction, Anne of Green Gables in
some significance of the word, is biographical. Many of the incidents occurring
within the novel are derived from Montgomery s childhood memories. But many
of the incidents recorded happened in my childhood to me; Montgomery wrote
once, or my playmates, and many of the places are drawn from life (Montgomery
34). Montgomery has also been quoted as stating, I suppose that there is in her
[Anne] something of myself. I was a solitary child, and what I couldn t have I
imagined, and I found that almost as good (Dwight 55) And there are certainly
many parallels to L. M Montgomery s life when laid alongside the title character of
her novel, Anne of Green Gables. From her childhood home to her personal family
life, Montgomery sprinkled within the text elements, values, and tales from her own
experience into the novel.
Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery was born in November of 1874 within the
village of Clifton, Prince Edward Island. Her mother, Clara passed away from
tuberculosis when Montgomery was still a toddler. Mourning the loss of his wife, her

Characteristics, Issues And Trends Of The Region From

This report has been conducted on the East Asia region based on the information
provided by the universities of Kansas State and Massey. The focus of this report is
to identify and describe important characteristics, issues and trends of the region from
an agricultural perspective. To provide an introduction and insight first a brief
summary of East Asiawill be provided.
East Asia includes approximately 15 countries, within this there is a population of
1.974 billion people. Of the total population 51% live within rural areas resulting
in agriculture making up 11% of GDP, which is considerably more than the likes of
the US (1% of GDP). There is considerable diversity between countries within East
Asia. There are major differences between country s GDP per capita and economic
development, resulting in distinctive high, middle and low per capita GDP groups
as shown in figure 1. New Zealand in comparison would be in the high per capita
group with a GDP of $36,200. The East Asia countries in which agriculture makes
up largest proportion of their GDP are within the lower to middle GDP band and are
Vietnam with 22%, Indonesia with 15% and Thailand with 12%. Whereas in
comparison to the likes of Japan who has the highest GDP per capita within the
region, agriculture only represents 1%. It can also be seen that the risk of investment
increases in East Asia as incomes reduce and that the middle income countries have
considerable growth potential.

Nursing Case Study Nursing
Betty has been an RN for two years and is the charge nurse of the medical unit on
the evening shift of a small rural hospital. During her two years as a nurse, she has
floated to many other areas of the hospital, but most of her experience has been on
her medical unit. On the evening shift the medical unit is usually staffed with an
RN, LPN, and an aid. Betty has arrived at work for her Friday evening shift and the
nursing supervisor has told her she needs to go cover the six bed ICU for one to
one and a half hours because the regular RN was involved in a minor car accident
and will be late. The nursing supervisor felt that Betty was the most qualified staff

She cannot delegate certain aspects of the patients care to the LPN, such as the IV
medications and assessment, but the LPN could prove to be an invaluable
resource in this patients care. She could call one of the regular ICU RN s that are
off duty and have them explain the IV medications and how to administer them for
this patient. This is not ideal, but it may be the only option for Betty to quickly
learn how to administer the medications correctly. The LPN knows the ICU
dysrhythmia protocol and she knows how to care for a patient on streptokinase
therapy. Ultimately Betty is still responsible for this patient s care and the care that
the LPN provides. Another option would be for one of the ER nurses to come to the
ICU and care for this patient until the regular ICU RN arrives at work. Considering
that they initiated the streptokinase therapy and the ER typically deals with emergent
patients, one of the ER nurses would be better prepared and qualified to care for this

Propaganda In Art Spiegelman s Maus
Art Spiegelman talked to and interviewed his father, Vladek Spiegelman, and then
published the graphic novel, Maus. It is a story of Vladek s life and also his
relationship with his son, Art. The story is told as a flashback to Vladek s past but
also follows Art s interactions with his father in the present. The story is unique in
that it is written as a graphic novel. The medium of using graphic novels to show
such a serious subject matter seems odd and potentially a wrong way to go about
portraying the story. Mausproves that graphic novels can be used to portray serious
subjects matter like the Holocaust. The graphic novel genre provides a singular way
for Valdek s story to be represented. Maus is an appropriate means to portray the

If Maus was portrayed in film, there would be other factors that would affect
watching the film while in a book there is just words and there is no viewing of
what happens which leaves it up to the viewer s mind to portray the scene. With
graphic novels, no other factors influence the viewing, like in films but there is
more involvement than in a novel. Chute notes that ...Artie inherited the burden that
the uniform represents, in a natural transfer of pain that wasn t consciously

you to view his reaction at the time of his mother s death while that may not have
been conveyed through film or some other media. Spiegelman uses the graphic
novel to show that he has guilt about the Holocaust even though he himself was not
a part of it. He merely took on his parent s guilt. The graphic novel also shows that
the survivors of the Holocaust are regular people. Staub says The inclusion of scenes

of the other people that were at this event. People of the Jewish faith are called to
come make sacrifices at the temple a couple times a year. During these times of
sacrifice, merchants would set up markets in the back of and on the immediate
exterior of the temple. They would try to sell anything that they could make money
on; for example, they would sell souvenirs, animals for sacrifice, and exchange
foreign currencies for profit. This abuse of the temple angers Christ and he throws all

Effect of Using a Hand-Held Cellular Phone and Listening...
The effect of using a hand held cellular phone and listening to radio broadcast on
driving performance will be explored. There are many careless drivers on the road
who are mostly talking on the hand held cell phone. It is predicted that using a
hand held phone would take the driver s attention away and would cause driving
slowly. Since many accident reports show that cell phone use while driving is
dangerous it is questionable if listening to radio will also be detrimental on driving
task. Many people turn on the radio for entertainment or to fight from drowsiness
especially if there is no other passenger in the vehicle. It is predicted that having a
conversation with using a hand held cell phone while driving will decrease the
driving performance, while listening to a radio broadcast will not have significant
effect. Important implications for the results for driving performance and for future
research will be discussed. The Effect of Using a Cell Phone and Listening to Radio
on Driving Performance Many researchers agree that numerous drivers engage in
dual task that includes eating, talking or listening to radio, which take away their
visual attention (Гњnal, Platteel, Steg Epstude, 2013). It is suggested that talking and
driving at the same time increase the risk of accident and that it produces the same
consequence of driving while intoxicated (Atchley, Dressel, Jones, Burson Marshall,
2011). While there are positive and negative aspects of listening to

regarding their health care choices. Rosie, is one such citizen, who s moderate
symptoms of asthma have led to a dilemma. Rosie knows that she requires treatment

First of all, Rosie will be provided treatment with better quality. A hospitalis more
likely to provide expert care due to the number of specialists present. An
emergency department would offer clinical quality as accessibility to diagnosis and
clinical practices will be present immediately. Bodenheimer, T. S., and Grumbach,
K. (2009) argue that direct access by Rosie to an ED is a less unified model of care,
however, it may allow access to specialists with better experience at managing her
individual condition of asthma. According to Health Evidence Network (2004),
advance resource allocation in most countries, including NZ, still favours
hospitals. In a study conducted by Jollis et al, (1996), (as cited by Health Evidence
Network, 2004), it was discovered that specialists perform better than generalists
when managing certain conditions. According to another study conducted by
Schoen, C., et al. (2004), 51% of New Zealander s surveyed rated the emergency
care services as excellent or very good. Secondly, Rosie would have a cost
advantage, as there is no co payment and she will be covered by the general health
care. Hospitals manage highly complex and specialized impatient health care needs,
therefore if Rosie visits an ED, she will be receiving quality treatment for free.

company with the least costs and own distribution center will most likely be the only
one to survive due to the fact that they will be able to offer the consumer the one
thing that they want the most, the cheapest price. * Threat of new entrant:
The threat of new entry in today s beverage market is low because of several
factors. However we are only going to discuss the main points of why the threat is
low in today s market which include; High cost barriers due to the role of bottlers,
saturated American market due to brand loyalty created by Pepsi and Coke, emerging
markets laws and regulations, and costly risks to match consumer taste trends and
preferences.
Each of the 3 main competitors in the beverage industry has some type of bottling
process which is a part of their manufacturing and distribution process. As I stated
above, in rivalry among competitors, some of the competitors such as Pepsi and
Coke own their own bottling companies. This is a major advantage to possess
however if they do not own them then they have created legal documented
agreements with these franchises to only allow their products to be bottled in that
particular location. On the Coca Cola
The Implementation of Confucian Principles in the Qing...
The Implementation of Confucian Principles in the Qing Legal System By altering
the sentencing practice of the legal system according to Confucian values of filial
piety [xiao] and benevolence [ren], the Qing dynasty reinforced Confucian
principles in the law. Although using law as a tool of governing is contrary to the
teachings in the Analects. Confucius argued that people became evasive and
shameless when law was used as a tool for governing, because law would not be
able to prevent all illicit actions, and evil minded people would always be able to
evade the law and avoid the punishments. Therefore, Confucianization of the law,
which merged the principles of Confucianismand punishments of the law, became the

criminal s aunt, meaning she was a senior member of the family. As a junior family

principle of filial piety. Therefore, he should be sentenced a severe punishment and
there was no precedent case to pardon him. The so called circumstances of his
agony over the death of his beloved parents, years of mourning and voluntary

after reviewing the case and recommend a less severe punishment to the Emperor. It
is possible for Ruifang to receive the benevolence from the Emperor as in Women Xie

Healthcare Contract Analysis
Contract considerations When deciding to contract out in relation to health care
services, it is important to have a full understanding of what requirements are to the
contract. One should consider what service is being provided and what would be
the likelihood of successful implementation of the service. Knowing how many
people are likely to require the service is also important as it ties directly to
understanding how much funding would need to be provided by the private party.
Considering the experience of the pri vate partner in the healthcare field is also
critical. Carefully reviewing any past contracts, they have been or are currently a part
of, to determine if they have a history of success. Their also needs to be an

Choosing who to include in the steering committee is the first step. It is important to
have those with experience in the health care industry and are who have the
knowledge needed to process the information that would be coming in. Nishtar
(2004) speaks of the importance of impartiality in health, saying there is the potential
to shift focus from the marginalized which is in contrast to the idea of equality in
health. It is also important to provide legitimacy to the group, to avoid any doubt in
the outcome of the project. The steering committee therefore determine that two
agencies would assist in developing the roadmap to finance the project, St. Luke s
Health Initiatives and the Legacy foundation. (Applegate et. al, 2009) It is important
that publicly run agencies remain included in the operation of health programs. If
there are not the same requirements for safety and health on the side of the private
sector, there is the potential for disastrous outcomes. The issue of accountability can
doom many partnerships if all parties are not held accountable for the delivery of
efficient, effective, and equitable services in a partnership. (Nishtar, 2004, p. 5) With
private com panies providing the funding for these partnerships, they could choose to
only provide services within certain communities. Potentially excluding those who are
members of groups they may not want to support. This could lead to ethical or legal
ramifications for the state although the private sector may be managing the
The Once And Future King
The Once and Future King
The legend of King Arthur is a tale as timeless as any other found in literature today.
Introduced to us by Sir Thomas Malory during the fifteenth century in Morte d
Arthur, it was the first complete tale of Arthur s life. Countless portrayals followed
for any reader interested in the tale of the boy who was destined to become King.
The Once and Future King by T.H. White is certainly the most popular representation
of the immortal legend of King Arthur. It is similar to the tales woven before it but
White gives new meanings and modernization to the traditional story through his
unique perspectives and writing. White takes the reader on a journey in the past

Merlin quickly corrects the boy by telling him his notion quot;would be extremely
presumptuous quot;, and he quot;would be conquered for it quot; (38). Merlyn
wants the young boy to understand that might is not the answer to the problems in
the world. He hopes that when the young boy becomes King he will be capable of
correcting such faults with the world. This is in contrast to Wart s encounter with
the King of the Moat while on an adventure lesson devised by Merlin. The King
declares that there is only power ;, and power of the body decides everything in the
end, and only might is right ; (48). For a young boy, the lessons in life are difficult
to understand without experience. Wart s experience will soon come, for the section
ends when he pulls the sword from the stone and becomes King. Merlyn is the first
to address him as King, leaving behind the boy once known as Wart.
The next section entitled The Queen of Air and Darkness tells of Arthur s war to
defend his title and secure his throne. His fight to claim his rights leads Arthur to a
battle within himself. At one point Arthur declares to his subjects Why can t you
harness might so that it works for right ; (254). He believes that in his pursuit to
conquer his foes, he could use might to turn the bad things into something good.
Merlyn is aware of his naivete but knows that time will bring knowledge or failure.
Spike Lee Essay
Shelton Jackson Lee was born in Atlanta, Georgia March 20, 1957. Born to teacher
Jacqueline Carroll and jazz musician William James Edward Lee, Shelton grew up
in Brooklyn, New York where he was provided with a rich cultural upbringing that
included plays, movies, and music (Gale 1). At a young age, Lee was nicknamed
Spike by his mother who noticed his rough nature and the nickname stuck well into
his adult life. He attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where he gained
an interest in film and then graduated with a Bachelors degree in Mass
Communication. Lee went on to attend New York University s Tisch School of the
Arts where he created his first student film and graduated in 1982 with a Master of

The movie never went into production due to a dispute between Lee and the Screen
Actors Guild who did not grant him a waiver which would have allowed him to use
nonunion actors. Lee believed they did not grant him the waiver due to his race. This
experience only added to his determination to make films portraying other racial
issues currently circulating the country.
With a burning determination from his previous refusal, Lee scrapped together
funds to create She s Gotta Have It, a low budget film made in two weeks about a
black woman s encounters with three men. Starring himself as one of the men, a trait
very common through out his film career, the movie was an expected success in the
United States making $7 million. She s Gotta Have It emphasized the gender issue
of double standards that women face when dating several men at a time. The film,
although not directly about racial issues, was definitely a black film which set off his
important and controversial career (Sheridan 4).
To continue his controversial career, Lee followed She s Gotta Have It with
School Daze, a film based on the director s four years at Morehouse College. The
movie dug into conflicts occurring within the black community itself, one of which
was the divergence between light skinned and dark skinned blacks. Lee
stereotypically portrayed light skinned blacks having money and being in a higher
class while dark skinned blacks were less cool and

Auguste Rodin The Thinker Summary
The Thinker by Auguste Robin is set to represent the Human man. It s very
positioning symbolizes the very embodiment of a simple thought. In his lifetime,
Rodin made at least 10 castings of The Thinker . However, that number has grown to
over 21. You can find them all over the world, from the Rodin Museumin Paris to the
Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, Calif., to the Rodin Museum at the
Philadelphia Museum of Art. Many of the bronze copies, as well as the original
plasters for this piece, have been displayed in a central position so that visitors can
see it from every conceivable angle. A marvel of the creative world. The style which
Auguste Rodindeveloped throughout his professional life can in part be attributed to
his artistic education or the lack of it in any formal capacity. The Thinkerby Auguste
Rodin is set to represent the Human man.
Rodin s choice to make his Thinking Man nude to follow in the style of the heroic
nudes of Michelangelo and his Renaissance style of Sculpting. Also, Auguste Rodin
created The Thinker in a way that mirrors the heroes of Michelangelo. The nude
figure is muscular, taunt, and valiant. This demonstrates to the viewer the high regard
with which Rodin held Dante and creative thinkers in general. The way the body is
placed is how the body was cast. Sitting and thinking with his entire body. Designed
as the total thinking machine. A visual document of a thought. When Rodin cast The

Reflection Of Luke And Acts
Written in approximately 63 AD, the Gospel of Luke teaches many lessons that are
still applicable today. Luke, who is also the suspected author of Acts, was an
eyewitness to many of Jesus s miraculous works. Both Luke and Acts are addressed
to a man named Theophilus, which means lover of God. Luke wanted Theophilus to
have certainty in the truth of Christ, so Luke gave him an account from a trustworthy
author. In Luke 18:6 8, Jesusencourages the disciples to pray faithfully and
ceaselessly. Verses 9 14 describe Jesus s story about two men, one a tax collector and
one a Pharisee, praying in the temple. Speaking to the Pharisees, he told this parable
because they trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others
with contempt. (English Standard Version Lk. 18:9) Through this parable, the tax
collector exemplified humility in a situation that the Pharisees could relate to.
Two men went into the temple to pray. One, a Pharisee, valued his appearance and
works, believing his works would gain him favor in God s eyes. When the Pharisee
prayed, he emphasized the fact that he was better than other people, mentioning his
bi weekly fasts and faithful tithing practices. He even pointed out the tax collector
as being especially unrighteous. Contrarily, the tax collector approached God in
humility. He understood his own inability to save himself. He recognized that he
was unworthy to even speak to the perfectly holy, supreme God. Unwilling to even
look to heaven, he beat his chest in agony and cried out to God one simple yet
striking request: God, be merciful to me, a sinner! (Lk. 18:13) Although both men
prayed to God, only the tax collector received justification. Jesus wanted to
demonstrate that if someone exalts himself, he will be humbled, but if someone
humbles himself, he will be exalted. People display the humility that originates in
their hearts through their thoughts and actions, just as the men revealed their values
through prayer. The Pharisee s prayer was concerned with telling God what a good
man he was, for not only did he keep the Law by fasting and tithing, but also he
considered himself better than other people (v. 11). He was using other people as his
standard for
Human And Human Differences In Humans
In Humans as well as other species we can see some obvious differences between
males and females. Differences such as the development of a penis or vagina,
muscle mass, body size, the distribution of fat and the amount of distribution of body
hair are all the differences that can be observed in Humans. These differences are a
result of a long chain of events that begin during the early phases of embryology. It
Involves Complex interaction between the environment and gene expression.
Chromosomes
Being male or female is determined in stages beginning at fertilization when the sex
chromosomes carried by the sperms meet the egg. Females have XX chromosomes
and Males have XY chromosomes. Having XX females and XY males provides a
genetic framework for developmental events that eventually give us Male or female
appearance. The formation of reproductive structures we see in Males and females
depend on several factors, this includes gene action and interaction within the
embryo. Interactions with other embryos that may be in the uterus. As mentioned this
process is not straightforward, having XX and XY does not always mean that
individual is either male or female. The outcome depends on the distribution of genes
on the X and Y chromosome. All eggs that are produced by females carry the X
chromosomes, in males about half of the mature sperms curry the X chromosomes.
An egg that is fertilized by a sperm that has the X chromosomes will have XX Zygote
and will develop into a female

something strange begins to happen, he sympathises with Tiny Time, who Scrooge

Practicing Professionalism
Professionalism is the competence expected of an individual to properly execute
given tasks. In dance, it is important to introduce respect, organization, and focus as
the essentials of a performer. Establishing professional methods in class will assist
others in distinguishing your dedication and commitment to the artform. Practicing
professionalism in daily performance leads to improved performance in the future
because of repetitive conduct during classes. If a dancer consistently puts forth the
effort to work hard and focus in class, they are more likely to adopt these concepts
into their everyday lifestyle and develop their talent more. Famous ballerinas such as
Misty Copeland and Tamara Rojo have led successful careers in the world of
Advantages And Disadvantages Of Brand Ambassadors
INTRODUCTION
A brand is essentially a business s product or service combined with its unique
positioning. All brands stand for something in the consumers eyes, and what a brand
stands for is vitally important for the success of its business. Many of the top brands
have brand ambassadors who promote them (for a fee of course) so Shahrukh Khan
represents TAG Heuer ,Pepsodent and Sunfeast ,among others, while Aishwarya Rai
is the brand ambassador for L Oreal, and Kareena Kapoor for Head and Shoulders.
So, a brand ambassador could well be summed up as follows A brand ambassador is a
well connected person or a celebrity who is used to promote and advertise a product
or service.

Here s why:
The reputation of the celebrity may derogate after he/she has endorsed the product:
Pepsi Cola s suffered with three tarnished celebrities Mike Tyson, Madonna, and
Michael Jackson. Since the behaviour of the celebrities reflects on the brand,
celebrity endorsers may at times become liabilities to the brands they endorse.
The vampire effect: This terminology pertains to the issue of a celebrity
overshadowing the brand. For example, campaigns of Dawn French Cable
Association and Leonard Rossiter Cinzano. Both of these campaigns were later
dumped due to celebrities getting in the way of effective communication.
Inconsistency in the professional popularity of the celebrity: The celebrity may lose
his or her popularity due to some lapse in professional performances. For example,
when Tendulkar was going through a prolonged lean patch some time back, the
inevitable question that cropped up in corporate circles is he actually worth it? The
2003 Cricket World Cup also threw up the Shane Warne incident, which made things
difficult for Pepsi. With the Australian cricketer testing positive for consuming
banned substances and his subsequent withdrawal from the series, right in the middle
of the event, PepsiCo the presenting sponsor of the World Cup 2003 found itself on

A Debate Between Organic Foods And Non Organic Food
Over the last few years, there are many things have changed such as, technology,
agriculture and many more things. Technology is getting better and better day by day
for humans need and survivenment, but one thing is that human will never be able
survive without food. Food comes from farms and animals. There are many ways for
farming like organic farming, conventional farming, commercial farming, multi crop
farming, factory farming and many more other technique of it. Farming has a
significant role in toady s economy. All people should know what they are eating
and they have right to know for their health and survivenment. People need to know
how food gets grown, process, transported, marketed, prepared, and organized of
food because it is very important issues of sustainable living. There is a debate
between organic foodand non organic food that which one is better for both humans
and nature. All people have different opinion about it but, mostly people believe that
organic food is healthier than non organic, conventional food or any other type
food. However, I believe organic farming can not feed the world because organic
farming is expensive, take extra time, and dangerous. Seufert, Ramankutty and
Foley( 2012) defined Organic farming a system aimed at producing food with
minimal harm to ecosystems, animals or humans (p. 229). Organic farming can be
also defined as food or animals are grown without use of any chemicals, all nature,

Mesoamerican Cosmo Vision Analysis
Characteristic of Mesoamerican Cosmo Vision
As a part of the early Toltec heritage the characteristic of Mesoamerican about the

Some of the cosmological myths of the Nahuas, include the Eternal fire of Heraclitus,
the Unmoved Mover of Aristotle and Thales belief that everything is supplied by God

The Nahuas developed the character of being logical to train themselves with more

Card Sharks By The Freudian Imagery
Alternative personalities, in many cultures, tend to be considered connected to
neurological dysfunction, spiritual inhabitation, or even general insanity. However,
psychology explains, in theory, how the human mind operates under a triad of three
forces that dictated the overall thoughts of oneself. The Ego, being the judgement
mediator and control center, the Superego, which exhibits the ability to distinguish
between moral choices, and the Id, the subconscious, natural instincts, and true
desires, join together to create the psych. In Card Sharks , the Freudian imagery
depicts the twisted nature of the instinctual desires of man, and the effects of such
actions afterwards. At the center of the picture is lays an extravagantly green
topside of a poker table. Stacks of playing cards, mountainous piles of gambling
chips, and a circle of pristine glassware, filled with auburn spirits, litter the table in
precise positions. Towering, rich chestnut chairs surround the table, each with a
peculiar individual positioned at the seat: a young French maid, a monkey with a
black bowtie, a grinning, charcoal coated ape, two hounds, an intuitive maple
brown ape, and a howling timber wolf. All seven beings are comfortably leaned
back in their chairs, smoking cigars and blowing smoke rings. They are positioned
in a manner that portrays their visage, and seem to be facing directly at the focal

Organizational Skills:

He appears to get along well with others and socially engages with his peers in an
appropriate manner. Teachers are concerned with his lack of grade level reading and
writing skills as they set him apart from his peers and make it difficult for him to
keep up with the pace of the general education class. Teachers are also very
concerned with Nate s inability to focus and stay on task in the classroom, during
large group instruction, small group activities, and independent work time.
Nate receives the following accommodations within the classroom: copies of notes
(as needed and only if he requests these on his own), repeated and simplified
directions, paraprofessional support, modified tests/assignments, a quiet setting for
test taking and homework completion and assistance, additional time for assignment
completion, and small group teaching/re teaching (when possible).
In summary, this checklist shows Nate has some of the organization and
independent work skills needed to be successful in the general education
classroom, however he is lacking quite a few of the critical skills his same age
peers display. These skill deficits hinder his ability to be successful on his own in the
general education classroom. Without support and direct skills instruction in
organization and work skills, Nate will struggle to keep up in the general education

waiting to be discovered similar to outer space. For Romeo and Juliet the pool
serves as a medium that distances them from the real world. In the water, their
love for each other and anything else is possible. After Romeo declares his love
for Juliet and she is satisfied that he loves her as she loves him, she goes to get out
of the pool, leaving the realm of possibilities for the real world. Seeing that Juliet is
getting away, Romeo quickly asks her Wilt thou leave me so unsatisfied? Juliet
stops and responds that there isn t anything else she can give Romeo except the
vow of love she already gave without being asked. At Romeo s marriage proposal,
she smiles, jumps into Romeo s arms and submerges them both in the pool
effectively baptizing him as her true love and husband to be. As Donaldson points
out the ease with which the lovers find a place to meet [the pool] and kiss augured a
more permanent mode in which their love could continue.
Water isn t the only symbolism Luhrmann uses. The most easily recognized
symbolism in the movie is the costumes at the Capulet ball. Romeo arrives at the
party looking dashing in his pseudo armor. He is the fairy tale knight, ready to slay
the dragon and woo his lady love though he carries both a gun and a costume sword.
Innocent Juliet is wearing a simple white modest floor length dress with wings and

Pantofola D Oro Essay
History
Pantofola d Oro is a company based in Italy that manufactures soccer boots, leisure
footwear, as well as clothing. The company began in a small family workshop in
Ascoli Piceno industrial district, Italy in the year 1886. At the time, it was just a
cobbler s shop, which was founded by Emidio Lazzarini when he worked as a
shoemaker; as he put into practice the teachings given to him by not only his father
but also his grandfather. However, the company had not begun producing
handcrafted elite soccer boots until the 1950s when Emidio took over the business,
which was run by his father. After the day s work was done, Emilio would devote
his time to wrestling, and as a wrestler he used to wear shoes that he found to be both

The Americans seem to be more familiar with brands like Nike, Reebok, Adidas,
among others. This will make it a bit difficult to penetrate the market as much as
those other big footwear producing companies have.
Furthermore, Pantofola d Oro s products cannot be found in U.S stores despite
their presence all over Europe. For the few who already recognize the brand and
want to purchase it, they can only get it from the pro direct soccer website.
However, very few people in the U.S. know about this and as a result, Pantofola d
Oro does not take up any significant size of the U.S. soccer footwear market share.
Due to the high quality and incorporation of NFC technology in Pantofola d Oro s
products, they cost more than those of competitors. They are also set to be placed in
the big departmental stores only, such as Nordstrom and Barneys. This may reduce
their potential to be recognized and thus bought by many people.
International Operations
The company has already developed presence in Italy and Europe. It is also planning
to scale up to Germany, the United States and Northern Europe with the assistance of
three international partners Safe Way, Calzaturificio and Officina
Literary Analysis Of Amores Perros
Come to Clarity
Typically, photographs are considered nothing more than tangible items that invoke
nostalgia. Having a character ponder over a photo typically gives the image no more
value than a McGuffin. Alejandro GonzГЎlez IГ±ГЎrritu s Amores Perros (2000) on
the other hand, asks the viewer to re evaluate the concept of the photograph both
literally and figuratively throughout the film. The meaning of a photograph can be
considered the glue on this story; the symbol is dynamic enough to provide each
character with a moment of reflection, and the audience a window into the
subjective perspective at the peak of a character s diegesis. Using the photograph
loosely in this fashion allows it to be one of the key elements to tie together three
radically different stories, despite the symbol s lack of dedicated screen time.
Before diving into each individual character s world, it helps to look at the
background of the new, circa 2000, director Alejandro IГ±ГЎrritu. Alejandro started
his career with a passion for music working with radio; that original passion is visible
throughout Amores Perros as sound is used to articulate the set space and time. Sound
mimics patterns found throughout the story and Alejandro frequently positions it to
juxtaposition the narrative. With that being in mind there are few scenes where we
are met with no background noise, and no dialogue. Looking at these we can see
Alejandro graces the film with three powerful character defining images, each

Municipal Swap Case Study: An Analysis and Recommendation of Synthetic Fixed
Rate Derivatives Dear Mr. Benson R. Cohn, We, the State of Connecticut, have
typically financed the long term capital needs of the State through tax deductible
General Obligation bonds. This allowed us to achieve a lower costof debtthan similar
taxable bonds. In stark contrast to the fixed rate long term debt financing, short term
municipal financing for our State was often achieved through innovative methods
developed by Wall Street. These new funding options, commonly referred to as

Even though these products are issued as long term securities, they have many of
the same features as traditional short term ones. These debt products are both
callable and puttable which gives the issuer as well as the investor flexibility. The
call feature allows the issuer to buy back the bond. For issuers who are not sure how
long they will need funds, they can get out of the agreement by calling the bond.
Same goes for the investor; they can exercise the put option and receive their
money back. In order to make these products more liquid, investment banks are
used as remarketing agents. These agents resell the bonds at new rates to other
investors. However, there is a cap on how high the rates on the bonds can be
reissued at in order to limit the coupon payments. These variable rate debts also
track the JJ Kenny index. The JJ Kenny index is an index similar to the S P 500 but
for municipal bonds. Also, a synthetic fixed rate debt can be created from
combining a variable rate debt and a SWAP. Given the two proposals, the state is
faced with three forms of debt. The first form is a fixed rate option that would
provide the state with 20 year serial issued bonds with fixed
payments for the duration of the bond and callable after ten years.
Evidence Based Practice Research Paper
Evidence based practice is a decision making process in which you combine scientific
data with clinical expertise, patient values and circumstances of the patient.
(Hoffmann, Bennett 2017). The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines chronic
diseases as those which are caused by non reversible pathological changes in the
body, are permanent and leave a lingering disability, those that require ongoing
rehabilitation or care. Indigenous Australians experience very high prevalence,
morbidity and mortality from chronic health conditions such as diabetes,
cardiovascular, renal and chronic respiratory disease. Multi morbid and comorbid
chronic diseases are increasingly placing a greater burden on individuals,
communities and health care services
Social, Justice, Equality, And Social Justice
Social justice is mutually a practice and a goal. The goal of social justice is
complete and equal contribution by all people in a society that is equally designed
to meet their needs. Social justice allows for all members of society to be
physically and psychologically safe and secure. It is a set of values that allow us to
understand what is right and wrong in our world regardless of race, culture and
economic status. That we take care of those in need of help, so that they can take
care of themselves. Social justiceallows equal rights and opportunities to everyone
in society. Economic justice is the belief that we are all entitled to equal opportunities
to work. That you receive equal pay for equal work. That we have a fair and open job
market. That even if you are an unskilled worker you can still make a living wage.
Economic justice is good for everyone because it allows for us to be able to buy the
goods made and keeps the economy steady. Social worksupports the use an
ecological and systems approach to help people with their problems, however for a
long time no one paid much attention to the earth. Environmental justice also shines a
light on racism and economic injustice. Look at places like Flint, where poor mostly
black people were drinking lead laced water.
Without natural resources such as clean drinking water we can t have good health
and proper nutrition. Exposure to lead leads to cognitive disabilities and medical
concerns. This leads to more need for
The Age of Enlightenment Essay
The Enlightenment was a period in the eighteenth century where change in
philosophy and cultural life took place in Europe. The movement started in France,
and spread to Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Germany at more or less
around the same time, the ideas starting with the most renowned thinkers and
philosophers of the time and eventually being shared with the common people. The
Enlightenment was a way of thinking that focused on the betterment of humanity by
using logic and reason rather than irrationality and superstition. It was a way of
thinking that showed skepticism in the face of religion, challenged the inequality
between the kings and their people, and tried to establish a sound system of ethics.

Stokstad posits that these ideas have roots in the previous scientific revolution of the
century before it, with philosophers such as Francis Bacon and Rene Descartes
establishing what we now know as the scientific method based on logical reasoning,
educated guesses and controlled experiments to prove them. The astronomer Galileo
Galilei confirmed a previous theory by Nicolaus Copernicus that the sun did not
revolve around the Earth and that it was the other way around the planets revolved
around the sun. These theories and practices went against the Church s teachings,
and Galileo in particular was forced to take back what he said on his observations.
Other scientists made discoveries on smaller scales relating to the animal kingdom
and plant life, and artists were used to convey the new found information by painting
or drawing those findings. (p. 756) With the different revolutions and events that took
place before the eighteenth century, it could be said that the Enlightenment was just a
logical progression and the next step. Like the scientific revolution before it, the new
Enlightenment era s ideas were spread both through art and through writing, in texts
such as Denis Diderot s Encyclopedia which was printed and sold to the French
middle class. The Encyclopedia held the most current ideas concerning the arts,
sciences, and the merits of human freedom. The advances as a result of the

Analysis of the Uncertainty Reduction theory on interpersonal communication
Through this paper I will conduct an analysis of the uncertainty reduction theory and
will then apply it to my own experience here in Colorado university.
This theory has been subject to many articles and studies in the communication and
social departments. Indeed, studying this theory can help us understanding human
relations in interpersonal communication. Each of us has been one day confronted to
uncertainty, whereas in initial encounters, or moving to a new a new place, or
beginning a new work.
This theory is particularly important for me as I experienced high uncertainty when I
first arrived here in Colorado. When everything and everybody is unknown for ...

Curiosity can be a real good motivator and if we can not predict the behavior of this
person, we will seek information in order to predict future behavior.
ГјAnticipation: Basically, if you donВґt think that you will be somebody again in the
future , your motivation to reduce uncertainty will decrease. You will have the
impression to habe done all these efforts for nothing.
As we can see, the theory of uncertainty reduction exlain us why we behave like we
do in our relation with others. But the theory of Berger has been subject to many
studies. For example
, for Sunnafrank developed in his predicted outcome value theory that what
motivates you to seek for further information is the expected positive benefices you
think to obtain. According to this theory when, output value are seem to be positive
for oneself, our motivation to seek information increases. But in the contrary, if we
expect negative outcome, we will decrease our motivation and in the worst cass stop
looking for information.in others words if somebody feels that a person can be
rewarding to him , he will look forward to get more information about him. His
theory is similar to the high incentive value condition of Berger.
Some scholars have noticed some problems with this theory . Sometimes information
can actually increase uncertainty rather than reduce it when the information is
unexpected. Sometimes you learn some information about a person that deceive you
and make you seem them different. After that
Deformation Behavior Of Metallic Greys Lab Report
The deformation behavior of metallic glasses is separated in two different stages.
Below the glass transition, they reveal an inhomogeneous deformation, which leads
to the appearance of discrete and thin shear bands, resulting of its non hardenable
nature (KAWAMURA et al., 1997). However, in the supercooled liquid region,
(О”T), BMGs usually exhibit a drastic reduction of viscosity, and therefore, present a
Newtonian flow behavior (WANG et al., 2005), and can retain its amorphous
structure even after large plastic deformation (KIM, MA, and JEONG, 2003).

2.1.4Present and Future Applications
The first report of a commercial use of a Zr based BMG was the confection of golf
clubs (JOHNSON, 2015). Liquidmetal Technologies Company made the first
attempt to industrialize the use of this new engineering material. They were
unsuccessful for two main reasons: (1) the newly developed die casting route
introduced flow lines on the surface of the part that acted like crack initiation sites,
(2) in 1997 the US Golf Association restricted the limit of how springy golf clubs
could be (JOHNSON, 2015). Zr based BMGs can transfer up to 99% of the applied
energy to the golf plate, whereas steel golf plates transfer 60% and titanium
transfer 70% (WANG, DONG and SHEK, 2004). BMGs were also applied in other
high end sporting goods such as tennis rackets, and may find applications for
baseball bats, bicycle frames, hunting bows, and skis (WANG, DONG and SHEK,
2004).
Inoue et al. (2003), informed the use of Fe based BMGs powders as shot peening
balls. Shoot peening generates a residual compressive stress field onto the surface of
metals. They reported that the residual stress caused by BMGs shot peening balls,
leading to increased hardness and resilience, is far superior to that of conventional
crystalline shot peening balls.
Present novelty and rarity make BMGs attractive for high end lifestyle products. The
ability to take high polish and resist abrasion and corrosion suggest the
Man the Hunter Revisited
Man the Hunter: Revisited In 1966, a group of about fifty anthropologists met in
Chicago for a conference that would later known as the Man the Hunter meeting. The
meeting contrasted with earlier scholarship and presented a Hollywood approach to
the topic of early man, one where our ancestors were strong, powerful, and in control
of their environment. Anthropologists Sherwood L. Washburn and C.S. Lancaster
(1968), both present at the conference claimed, our intellect, interests, emotions, and
basic social life all are evolutionary products of the success of the hunting adaptation .
The book Man the Hunter that emerged from the conference forced a re evaluation of
human subsistence strategies and the role of the hunter in human... Show more

Additionally, the sexual division of labor was given more attention and there was
recognition of the importance of the female contribution given to sustaining early
modern human society. As a result of the research, the gatherer female emerged and
in many ways surpassed the male hunter as the foundation of early modern human
society. The female gatherer trumped the male hunter. Ultimately, the work of the
feminist anthropologists was significant because it discredited the male centric
theory of the 1960 s, emasculated the role of man, but provided a more balanced and
accurate perspective regarding the role of women in early human society. Progressing
into the modern era, research has again refocused the academic microscope on the
once chastised man the hunter theory. Contrasting with earlier scholarship, Michael
P. Richards and Erik Trinkhaus (2009) proved Neanderthals and early modern humans
relied on meat and hunting for subsistence. They did so through comparative isotopic
analysis of nitrogen and carbon isotope values to compare protein consumption
between early modern humans, Neanderthals, and local fauna. For example, the Oase
1 (the oldest directly dated modern human in Europe) has a nitrogen level that is
10.8% higher than the ibex and 8.0% higher than the red deer.

Comparing and Contrasting Grant and Reverend Ambrose In Ernest Gaines A
Lesson Before Dying, we are introduced to an uneducated, simple black man named
Jefferson who has spent most his life working on a plantation. In Jefferson s
society, black Americans have little to no chance of progression due to racism.
Jefferson happened to witness a shootout between three men in a store. All three
men died, and Jefferson was left alone at the crime scene confused and frightened.
As Jefferson was leaving the store, two white men stopped him and accused him of
the murder. During his trial, his attorney s only defense was that he was a
mindless hog incapable of coming up with such a plot. Most blacks are uneducated
and are treated like animals because they believe their illiteracy makes them less
civilized than whites. Jefferson is put in jail and is sentenced to the death penalty.
While in jail, Jefferson believes his attorney s words that he is a hog and a mindless
creature. Reverend Ambrose and Grant Wiggins are asked to teach Jefferson that he
is a man before he dies even though the reverend and Grant have different beliefs
which lead to conflicting views. Grant, a plantation schoolteacher, is the only black
man in the community with a college education. Compared to Reverend Ambrose, the
black community s spiritual leader, who has knowledge in religion. These very
different educational backgrounds make Grant and Reverend Ambrose a foil in the
book. Many whites are jealous of Grants college education because many of them
failed to receive such an education. During this time period, it was difficult to find a
black man that could both read and write. Ambrose and Grant get into a verbal
argument in which Ambrose says I m the one that s educated. Gaines (215). Ambrose
s ignorant comment leads you to believe that he thinks his education is superior to
grants. Ambrose feels that his knowledge of religion is more important than a formal
education. Grant later exclaims to Ambrose I don t owe anybody anything. (Gaines
216) This leads us to believe that Grant wants nothing to do with his community and
would rather just leave. This is conflicting compared to Reverend Ambrose religious
feeling of needing to
As An Accounting Major, It Is Kind Of Odd That This Is
As an accounting major, it is kind of odd that this is the most I ve actually
researched possible careers in accounting. But through my research, I ve found
many different possible careers that my degree could get me. There were dozens
ranging from jobs that required an associate s degree in accounting, all the way to
careers that required a master s degree in accounting, as well as certificates that
closely relate to them, and they paid anywhere from $30,000 to over $100,000. To
be completely honest, there were times when I wondered why companies need an
entire different division for accounting, but after seeing just how many different jobs
there were in the field, things started to make a bit more sense. The first career from...

The biggest reason that these caught my attention was the fact that what we had
been covering as just a single account had an entire career dedicated to it. I guess
after just listing accounts payable as a single liability I forgot that multiple debts
make up that account. It also just occurred to me that if a company would hire a
person just to cover a single account, these accounts must not be stationary very
often. For a career to require a person to come to work every day, each account
must increase and/or decrease every day, and some days multiple times. After that
realization, I realized just how easy it must be to make a single mistake, and just
how easily a single mistake on one account that one person was responsible for could
affect the entire company. Accounting, just like any other job that I have worked,
requires a team. And everyone on that team must hold up their end, or else the
consequences will be catastrophic. In the same way that a single miscommunication
can ruin a transaction at a fast food restaurant, a single miscommunication could ruin
a company s financial statements. It shows just how much attention to detail is
required for a job in accounting. The next job that I noticed was the FBI Agent
specializing in accounting. I feel as though I don t even need to explain why this one
caught my eye. I mean, even if you don t intend to read it, you always

Effects and implications of coalition governments on the political scenario in India
Abstract:
Parliamentary democracies ruled by multiparty cabinets make foreign policy
decisions in a fairly unique institutional context, complicated by the politics of
coalition government. Recent research suggests that this context is associated with
foreign policy behaviors that are quite distinct in character from foreign policy made
by single party cabinets. In particular, coalitions tend to engage in more extreme
(both more peaceful and more aggressive) and more committed foreign policies. In
this paper, we examine the reasons behind extreme foreign policy choices by
coalition cabinets. We also... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the 2004 Indian elections, the INC won the largest number of Lok Sabha seats and
formed a government with a coalition called the United Progressive Alliance (UPA),
supported by various parties. In the 2009 Lok Sabha Elections, it won again with a
surprising majority, the INC itself winning more than 200 seats.
At the federal level, India is the most populous democracy in the world while many
neighboring countries witness frequent coups; Indian democracy has been suspended
only once. Nevertheless, Indian politics is often described as chaotic. More than a
fifth of parliament members face criminal charges and is not unheard of that most
state assembly seats are held by convicted criminals. Corruption in India is common
rather corruption and crime are the qualifications for being a politician in India.
What is a collation Government?
A coalition government is one in which several political parties must cooperate in
order to run a country or region. A coalition government is often times considered a
very weak form of government because there is no majority party. In such cases, the
only way policy gets approved is by making concessions, hence the forming of a
coalition.
A coalition government, also known as a coalition cabinet, can be one of the most
entertaining, and volatile, forms of government. Often, it may be hard to know how
an issue is going to turn out, unlike countries where there are only
Total Quality Management As A System Of Management
Essay
Total quality management can be defined as a system of management that is based
on the principle that every staff member needs to be committed to maintaining
standards of work in every aspect of a company s operations. This form of
management is done in order to make sure that the entire organization can excel as a
whole when it comes to the products or services that are important to the customer.
Subsequently, this form of managementhas two fundamental operational goals. These
goals are; careful design of the product or service, and ensuring that the organizations
systems can produce the design at a consistent rate. What makes these two goals so
important is the fact that they cannot be accomplished without the entire
organizations unity. Furthermore this is how the term total quality management, was
established. This is a system that is strategic, uses data, and also uses communication
to effectively unify quality discipline into the organizations culture as well as its
activities. Consequently, The Total quality management systemcan be broken down
into eight primary elements. These elements are the, customer focused element, total
employee involvement element, process centered element, integrated system element,
strategic and systematic approach, continual improvement element, fact based
decision making element, and the communications element. The customer focused
element determines the level of quality. The consumer determines whether the efforts
are worthwhile for

  • 1. Good Persuasive Essays Crafting a persuasive essay on the subject of "Good Persuasive Essays" can present a paradoxical challenge. On one hand, the topic seems self-referential, demanding a level of meta- awareness that adds a layer of complexity. It necessitates the ability to not only discuss persuasive writing in general but also to persuasively articulate what constitutes a good persuasive essay. This requires a profound understanding of persuasive techniques, rhetorical strategies, and an awareness of the dynamic interplay between language and persuasion. Moreover, the challenge lies in avoiding a circular argument where the essay itself becomes a demonstration of persuasive elements. Striking a balance between theoretical exploration and practical application becomes crucial. Addressing the essence of persuasion while exemplifying it within the essay is a delicate task that demands precision and finesse. Additionally, the demand for originality is heightened when discussing the qualities of a good persuasive essay. The risk of falling into clichГ©s or reiterating commonly known principles is ever-present. Crafting a unique perspective or presenting a fresh angle on the topic requires a thorough exploration of existing literature on persuasive writing, pushing the boundaries of conventional thought. Navigating through the vast sea of persuasive essay topics to select one that resonates with both the writer and the audience can be another hurdle. The chosen topic must be captivating, relevant, and allow for a multifaceted exploration of persuasive elements, making the writing process more engaging for both the writer and the reader. • 3. My Brother s Gameboy Essay As a child the things that meant the most to me were shiny, colorful, and utterly unattainable. From a young age I was taught that taking what was not yours without asking was unbelievably wrong and would result in a never ending timeout. Fearing an eternity spent sat in a corner thinking about what I had just done I made an early habit of asking for things I wanted and forgetting about the things I could not have. Unfortunately this lifestyle could only last so long and so at only four years old the temptation became too much and I had convinced myself that the only solution was to take what was not given to me. Disappointment won out as the more overwhelming emotion and I began to plot a way to take what I felt was rightfully mine. I knew I needed a second opinion and intended to speak to Lucky when I realized that in my fit of despair I had left him behind. I decided that a rescue mission was in order and climbed out from under my bed. Sneaking through the house I reached my brother s room and was shocked to find only Lucky there. I raced over lifting him from the bed and hugging him close knowing he was once again safe. I turned to leave but right before I could I noticed a faint noise coming from within the blankets. Lifting them I found true temptation. There sat Joey s GameBoy taunting me as I stared in wonderment. It dawned on me that I could just go back to my room and find a different way to get the chance to play but with no one in sight I decided that taking it now

If not understanding, then it would produce a sense of awe in many of the viewers in the exhibit. The reason behind this theme was simply to be able to dedicate a gallery to each of the individual masterpieces and put in some extra artistic touches to make things far greater. It may be different than a standard Museum or art exhibit, but these are some of the greatest achievements in historical art and they need a place that can show their significance. The first hall will contain Egyptian Art, and in particular Narmer s Palette. Narmer s Palette was a symbol of art that displayed a scene of the unification between the upper and lower divisions of Egypt (Kinnaer) and was the easiest example of canonized art (Kinnaer) that we currently have. • 9. Southern Gothic Irony In Stown Southern Gothic literature is a very dark type of story telling where people either talk too much or talk too little. It includes elements like violence all the way to the general southern setting. The way the Southern Gothic story is written is really how an audience is gets engaged into reading the story. If someone is more into the events going on during the Civil War, they will be more likely to want to read a classic Southern Gothic. If someone is more into reading about current controversies and how they were discussed in the south, they will want to read a contemporary piece of Southern Gothic literature. The podcast, Stown, is clearly a Southern Gothic but has not yet been proven of what type. In order to evaluate what type of literature Stown is, looking into the different elements that the podcast possesses is very important. Stown is a piece of contemporary Southern Gothic literature because of the irony, social issues, and violence in it. Irony is the first element that has changed its definition when being added into contemporary Southern Gothic literature. In a classic piece, irony is written into conversation and events. As it s mentioned in Stown and written in contemporary pieces, irony is taken in account for other parts of the story. With the modern irony in Stown for this type of literature isn t just in conversation but is also shown in actions and character. For example, John is ironic when he mentions women in conversation for certain topics. He loves

She was more concerned knowing that generations born of Trojan blood would one day overthrow her Tyrian walls (931) by bringing down her city, the city of Carthage and with her rage, she would attempt to prevent that from happening which she does during her conversation with the god of wind, Aeolus as she asks him to conjure up a storm to attack Aeneasand his men. Unfortunately the seas were calmed by Neptune (Roman name for Poseidon). His name has been linked with the name Satan so that either name refers to the Devil in most of the western Christian tradition. American culture, with its Puritan roots and Fundamentalist influences, has cast Lucifer in the role of the eternal enemy of all that we hold to be good and worthwhile. Preachers and others who teach Christian morality have described his power as being great enough to tempt all of us, at the same time, into sin. In oh where have you fallen to... from Quilting, Heaven s response to the loss of Lucifer is one of mourning where the speaker states that it is all shadow / in heaven without you (5 6). This is certainly not the image of the eternal enemy that we have been taught by everyone from the backwoods, country preacher to Dana Carvey s character Church Lady on Saturday Night Live. The speaker in the poem shows affection for Lucifer and implies that Heaven is less because of the loss of him. Readers must readjust their assumptions regarding what the right feeling about Lucifer is because, if one is taught to fear and avoid someone else, then the normal result is the development of hatred toward the one that we are forced to fear and avoid. Since the response of the speaker in the poem seems to be far from one of hatred, then is the reader supposed to continue to hate him? The issue becomes no less clouded in remembering the birth of lucifer from Quilting when the speaker says that Lucifer s brilliant emergence from the littlest finger / of God (4 5) caused the seraphim the highest rank of angels to believe that it was too much for / one small heaven (12 13). Montgomery There are several key elements of the novel Anne of Green Gables, with multiple links connecting the author L. M Montgomery s life to the life of her fictional character, Anne. Despite its classification as fiction, Anne of Green Gables in some significance of the word, is biographical. Many of the incidents occurring within the novel are derived from Montgomery s childhood memories. But many of the incidents recorded happened in my childhood to me; Montgomery wrote once, or my playmates, and many of the places are drawn from life (Montgomery 34). Montgomery has also been quoted as stating, I suppose that there is in her [Anne] something of myself. I was a solitary child, and what I couldn t have I imagined, and I found that almost as good (Dwight 55) And there are certainly many parallels to L. This report has been conducted on the East Asia region based on the information provided by the universities of Kansas State and Massey. The focus of this report is to identify and describe important characteristics, issues and trends of the region from an agricultural perspective. To provide an introduction and insight first a brief summary of East Asiawill be provided. East Asia includes approximately 15 countries, within this there is a population of 1.974 billion people. Of the total population 51% live within rural areas resulting in agriculture making up 11% of GDP, which is considerably more than the likes of the US (1% of GDP). There is considerable diversity between countries within East Asia. There are major differences between country s GDP per capita and economic development, resulting in distinctive high, middle and low per capita GDP groups as shown in figure 1. New Zealand in comparison would be in the high per capita group with a GDP of $36,200. The East Asia countries in which agriculture makes up largest proportion of their GDP are within the lower to middle GDP band and are Vietnam with 22%, Indonesia with 15% and Thailand with 12%. Whereas in comparison to the likes of Japan who has the highest GDP per capita within the region, agriculture only represents 1%. It can also be seen that the risk of investment increases in East Asia as incomes reduce and that the middle income countries have considerable growth potential. Regional

There are many careless drivers on the road who are mostly talking on the hand held cell phone. Since many accident reports show that cell phone use while driving is dangerous it is questionable if listening to radio will also be detrimental on driving task. Many people turn on the radio for entertainment or to fight from drowsiness especially if there is no other passenger in the vehicle. Luke, who is also the suspected author of Acts, was an eyewitness to many of Jesus s miraculous works. Both Luke and Acts are addressed to a man named Theophilus, which means lover of God. Luke wanted Theophilus to have certainty in the truth of Christ, so Luke gave him an account from a trustworthy author. In Luke 18:6 8, Jesusencourages the disciples to pray faithfully and ceaselessly. Verses 9 14 describe Jesus s story about two men, one a tax collector and one a Pharisee, praying in the temple. Speaking to the Pharisees, he told this parable because they trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt. (English Standard Version Lk. 18:9) Through this parable, the tax collector exemplified humility in a situation that the Pharisees could relate to. Two men went into the temple to pray. One, a Pharisee, valued his appearance and works, believing his works would gain him favor in God s eyes. When the Pharisee prayed, he emphasized the fact that he was better than other people, mentioning his bi weekly fasts and faithful tithing practices. He even pointed out the tax collector as being especially unrighteous. Contrarily, the tax collector approached God in humility. He understood his own inability to save himself. He recognized that he was unworthy to even speak to the perfectly holy, supreme God. Unwilling to even look to heaven, he beat his chest in agony and cried out to God one simple yet striking request: God, be merciful to me, a sinner! (Lk. 18:13) Although both men prayed to God, only the tax collector received justification. Jesus wanted to demonstrate that if someone exalts himself, he will be humbled, but if someone humbles himself, he will be exalted. People display the humility that originates in their hearts through their thoughts and actions, just as the men revealed their values through prayer. The Pharisee s prayer was concerned with telling God what a good man he was, for not only did he keep the Law by fasting and tithing, but also he considered himself better than other people (v. 11). He was using other people as his standard for
  • 29. Human And Human Differences In Humans In Humans as well as other species we can see some obvious differences between males and females. Differences such as the development of a penis or vagina, muscle mass, body size, the distribution of fat and the amount of distribution of body hair are all the differences that can be observed in Humans. These differences are a result of a long chain of events that begin during the early phases of embryology. It Involves Complex interaction between the environment and gene expression. Chromosomes Being male or female is determined in stages beginning at fertilization when the sex chromosomes carried by the sperms meet the egg. Females have XX chromosomes and Males have XY chromosomes. Having XX females and XY males provides a genetic framework for developmental events that eventually give us Male or female appearance. The formation of reproductive structures we see in Males and females depend on several factors, this includes gene action and interaction within the embryo. Interactions with other embryos that may be in the uterus. As mentioned this process is not straightforward, having XX and XY does not always mean that individual is either male or female. The outcome depends on the distribution of genes on the X and Y chromosome. All eggs that are produced by females carry the X chromosomes, in males about half of the mature sperms curry the X chromosomes. An egg that is fertilized by a sperm that has the X chromosomes will have XX Zygote and will develop into a female

The vampire effect: This terminology pertains to the issue of a celebrity overshadowing the brand. For example, campaigns of Dawn French Cable Association and Leonard Rossiter Cinzano. Both of these campaigns were later dumped due to celebrities getting in the way of effective communication. Inconsistency in the professional popularity of the celebrity: The celebrity may lose his or her popularity due to some lapse in professional performances. For example, when Tendulkar was going through a prolonged lean patch some time back, the inevitable question that cropped up in corporate circles is he actually worth it? The Ego, being the judgement mediator and control center, the Superego, which exhibits the ability to distinguish between moral choices, and the Id, the subconscious, natural instincts, and true desires, join together to create the psych. In Card Sharks , the Freudian imagery depicts the twisted nature of the instinctual desires of man, and the effects of such actions afterwards. Having a character ponder over a photo typically gives the image no more value than a McGuffin. Alejandro GonzГЎlez IГ±ГЎrritu s Amores Perros (2000) on the other hand, asks the viewer to re evaluate the concept of the photograph both literally and figuratively throughout the film. The meaning of a photograph can be considered the glue on this story; the symbol is dynamic enough to provide each character with a moment of reflection, and the audience a window into the subjective perspective at the peak of a character s diegesis. Using the photograph loosely in this fashion allows it to be one of the key elements to tie together three radically different stories, despite the symbol s lack of dedicated screen time. Before diving into each individual character s world, it helps to look at the background of the new, circa 2000, director Alejandro IГ±ГЎrritu. Alejandro started his career with a passion for music working with radio; that original passion is visible throughout Amores Perros as sound is used to articulate the set space and time. Sound mimics patterns found throughout the story and Alejandro frequently positions it to juxtaposition the narrative. With that being in mind there are few scenes where we are met with no background noise, and no dialogue. Looking at these we can see Alejandro graces the film with three powerful character defining images, each

Even though these products are issued as long term securities, they have many of the same features as traditional short term ones. These debt products are both callable and puttable which gives the issuer as well as the investor flexibility. The call feature allows the issuer to buy back the bond. For issuers who are not sure how long they will need funds, they can get out of the agreement by calling the bond. Same goes for the investor; they can exercise the put option and receive their money back. In order to make these products more liquid, investment banks are used as remarketing agents. These agents resell the bonds at new rates to other investors. However, there is a cap on how high the rates on the bonds can be reissued at in order to limit the coupon payments. These variable rate debts also track the JJ Kenny index. The JJ Kenny index is an index similar to the S P 500 but for municipal bonds. The first form is a fixed rate option that would provide the state with 20 year serial issued bonds with fixed payments for the duration of the bond and callable after ten years.

As a result of the research, the gatherer female emerged and in many ways surpassed the male hunter as the foundation of early modern human society. The female gatherer trumped the male hunter. Ultimately, the work of the feminist anthropologists was significant because it discredited the male centric theory of the 1960 s, emasculated the role of man, but provided a more balanced and accurate perspective regarding the role of women in early human society. Progressing into the modern era, research has again refocused the academic microscope on the once chastised man the hunter theory. Contrasting with earlier scholarship, Michael P. Richards and Erik Trinkhaus (2009) proved Neanderthals and early modern humans relied on meat and hunting for subsistence. They did so through comparative isotopic analysis of nitrogen and carbon isotope values to compare protein consumption between early modern humans, Neanderthals, and local fauna. For example, the Oase 1 (the oldest directly dated modern human in Europe) has a nitrogen level that is 10.8% higher than the ibex and 8.0% higher than the red deer.

Comparing and Contrasting Grant and Reverend Ambrose In Ernest Gaines A Lesson Before Dying, we are introduced to an uneducated, simple black man named Jefferson who has spent most his life working on a plantation. In Jefferson s society, black Americans have little to no chance of progression due to racism. Jefferson happened to witness a shootout between three men in a store. All three men died, and Jefferson was left alone at the crime scene confused and frightened. As Jefferson was leaving the store, two white men stopped him and accused him of the murder. During his trial, his attorney s only defense was that he was a mindless hog incapable of coming up with such a plot. Most blacks are uneducated and are treated like animals because they believe their illiteracy makes them less civilized than whites. Jefferson is put in jail and is sentenced to the death penalty. While in jail, Jefferson believes his attorney s words that he is a hog and a mindless creature. Reverend Ambrose and Grant Wiggins are asked to teach Jefferson that he is a man before he dies even though the reverend and Grant have different beliefs which lead to conflicting views. Grant, a plantation schoolteacher, is the only black man in the community with a college education. Compared to Reverend Ambrose, the black community s spiritual leader, who has knowledge in religion. These very different educational backgrounds make Grant and Reverend Ambrose a foil in the book. Many whites are jealous of Grants college education because many of them failed to receive such an education. During this time period, it was difficult to find a black man that could both read and write. Ambrose and Grant get into a verbal argument in which Ambrose says I m the one that s educated. Gaines (215). Ambrose s ignorant comment leads you to believe that he thinks his education is superior to grants. Ambrose feels that his knowledge of religion is more important than a formal education. Grant later exclaims to Ambrose I don t owe anybody anything. (Gaines 216) This leads us to believe that Grant wants nothing to do with his community and would rather just leave. This is conflicting compared to Reverend Ambrose religious feeling of needing to
  • 51. As An Accounting Major, It Is Kind Of Odd That This Is As an accounting major, it is kind of odd that this is the most I ve actually researched possible careers in accounting. But through my research, I ve found many different possible careers that my degree could get me. There were dozens ranging from jobs that required an associate s degree in accounting, all the way to careers that required a master s degree in accounting, as well as certificates that closely relate to them, and they paid anywhere from $30,000 to over $100,000. To be completely honest, there were times when I wondered why companies need an entire different division for accounting, but after seeing just how many different jobs there were in the field, things started to make a bit more sense. The first career from... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The biggest reason that these caught my attention was the fact that what we had been covering as just a single account had an entire career dedicated to it. I guess after just listing accounts payable as a single liability I forgot that multiple debts make up that account. It also just occurred to me that if a company would hire a person just to cover a single account, these accounts must not be stationary very often. For a career to require a person to come to work every day, each account must increase and/or decrease every day, and some days multiple times. After that realization, I realized just how easy it must be to make a single mistake, and just how easily a single mistake on one account that one person was responsible for could affect the entire company. Accounting, just like any other job that I have worked, requires a team. And everyone on that team must hold up their end, or else the consequences will be catastrophic. In the same way that a single miscommunication can ruin a transaction at a fast food restaurant, a single miscommunication could ruin a company s financial statements. It shows just how much attention to detail is required for a job in accounting. The next job that I noticed was the FBI Agent specializing in accounting. I feel as though I don t even need to explain why this one caught my eye. I mean, even if you don t intend to read it, you always

Amity School of Communication AMITY UNIVERSITY RAJASTHAN Effects and implications of coalition governments on the political scenario in India Abstract: Parliamentary democracies ruled by multiparty cabinets make foreign policy decisions in a fairly unique institutional context, complicated by the politics of coalition government. Recent research suggests that this context is associated with foreign policy behaviors that are quite distinct in character from foreign policy made by single party cabinets. In particular, coalitions tend to engage in more extreme (both more peaceful and more aggressive) and more committed foreign policies. In this paper, we examine the reasons behind extreme foreign policy choices by coalition cabinets. We also... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the 2004 Indian elections, the INC won the largest number of Lok Sabha seats and formed a government with a coalition called the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), supported by various parties. In the 2009 Lok Sabha Elections, it won again with a surprising majority, the INC itself winning more than 200 seats. At the federal level, India is the most populous democracy in the world while many neighboring countries witness frequent coups; Indian democracy has been suspended only once. Nevertheless, Indian politics is often described as chaotic. More than a fifth of parliament members face criminal charges and is not unheard of that most state assembly seats are held by convicted criminals. Corruption in India is common rather corruption and crime are the qualifications for being a politician in India. What is a collation Government? A coalition government is one in which several political parties must cooperate in order to run a country or region. A coalition government is often times considered a very weak form of government because there is no majority party. In such cases, the only way policy gets approved is by making concessions, hence the forming of a coalition. A coalition government, also known as a coalition cabinet, can be one of the most entertaining, and volatile, forms of government. Often, it may be hard to know how an issue is going to turn out, unlike countries where there are only
