Sign Language is used by such individuals to assist them in communicating
with each other. The paper aims to report details of various aspects of
wearable healthcare technologies designed in recent years based on the aim
of the study, the types of technologies being used, accuracy of the system
designed, data collection and storage methods, technology used to
accomplish the task, limitations and future research suggested for the study.
The aim of the study is to compare the differences between the papers. There
is also comparison of technology used to determine which wearable device
is better, which is also done with the help of accuracy. The limitations and
future research help in determining how the wearable devices can be
improved. A systematic review was performed based on a search of the
literature. A total of 23 articles were retrieved. The articles are study and
design of various wearable devices, mainly the glove-based device, to help
you learn the sign language.
While a hearing-impaired individual depends on sign language and gestures, non-hearing-impaired person uses verbal language. Thus, there is need for means of arbitration to forestall situation when a non-hearing-impaired individual who does not understand the sign language wants to communicate with a hearing-impaired person. This paper is concerned with the development of a PC-based sign language translator to facilitate effective communication between hearing-impaired and non-hearing-impaired persons. Database of hand gestures in American sign language (ASL) is created using Python scripts. TensorFlow (TF) is used in the creation of a pipeline configuration model for machine learning of annotated images of gestures in the database with the real time gestures. The implementation is done in Python software environment and it runs on a PC equipped with a web camera to capture real time gestures for comparison and interpretations. The developed sign language translator is able to translate ASL/gestures to written texts along with corresponding audio renderings at an average duration of about one second. In addition, the translator is able to match real time gestures with the equivalent gesture images stored in the database even at 44% similarity.

Digital voice over is a social project aimed at improving the ability of speaking and hearing by enabling people to communicate better with the public. There are approximately 9.1 billion deaf and hard of hearing people worldwide. They encounter many problems while trying to communicate with the society in daily life. Deaf and speech impaired people often use language to communicate but have difficulty communicating with people who do not understand the language. Those who are speech impaired (tunawicara in the Indonesian language) suffer from
abnormalities in their delivery (articulation) of the language as well their voice in normal speech, resulting
in difficulty in communicating verbally within their environment. Therefore, an application is required that
can help and facilitate conversations for communication. In this research, the authors have developed a
speech recognition application that can recognise speech of the speech impaired, and can translate into
text form with input in the form of sound detected on a smartphone. By using the Google Cloud Speech
Application Programming Interface (API), this allows converting audio to text, and it is also user-friendly to
use such APIs. The Google Cloud Speech API integrates with Google Cloud Storage for data storage.
Although research into speech recognition to text has been widely practiced, this research try to develop
speech recognition, specially for speech impaired's speech, as well as perform a likelihood calculation to
see the factor of tone, pronunciation, and speech speed in speech recognition. The test was conducted by
mentioning the digits 1 through 10. The experimental results showed that the recognition rate for the
speech impaired is about 80%, while the recognition rate for normal speech is 100%.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
