Introduction
Globalization is a widely defined word with several connections to
many different people. Some people believe globalization is a
dangerous phenomenon which has changed the world in negative
ways and another group of people believe. Globalization as a
fruitful phenomenon, making the world more connected.
According to kilminster, the word ‘Globalization’ first appeared in
the webster’s English Dictionary in 1961.
MEANING OF GLOBALIZATION
Globalization is a process of
interacting and sharing, technology,
skill, knowledge with other countries.
Through various mode like:-
• Trade
• Culture
• Social
• Economic
DEFINITION OF GLOBALIZATION
According to Bill Clinton :-
Globalization is not something we can
hold off or turn off.
According to T. Evan :-
Globalization in simple words, it means
shrinkage of space as well as time, which brings
together nations, cultures and economies in
mutual respect for one another .

Economically, it means opening up of national
market, free trade and commerce among nations,
and integration of national economies with the
world economy.
Politically, it means limited powers and functions of
state, more rights and freedoms granted to the
individual and empowerment of private sector.
Culturally, it means exchange of cultural values
between societies and between nations.
Ideologically, it means the spread of liberalism and
capitalism.

SCOPE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF

Globalization is directly connected more with
the development of a ‘world economy’ .
 Education in global society has greater
responsibility of shaping preferred futures of
the students.
 Developing skills of cooperation , shared
responsibility, critical thinking, communication.

The impact of this change, will be reflected
in educational endeavors too because the
human resource should be well equipped
to understand and use the expanded
technologies , industries, commercial and
trade concerns through education .
Therefore globalization of education also

Need of Globalization
• Globalization enhances the student’s ability of learners
to access, adopt and apply knowledge, to think
independently to exercise appropriate judgement and to
collaborate with others to make sense of new situations.
• It makes business management easier and efficient for
the company.
• Because of Globalization the economies of the world are
being increasingly integrated,
example- Mobile phones and internet have brought
people closer.
Globalization in education
• Globalization provides today’s learners the
ability to be more familiar and comfortable with
abstract concepts and uncertain situations.
• Globalization enhances the students ability to
acquire and utilize knowledge.
• It produces an increased quantity of
scientifically and technically trained persons.
• It encourages students to work in teams.
Advantages of
Globalization of Education.
1. Globalization of Education can provide new
knowledge., skills and competencies, required for
the vocations and professions in demand.
2. Globalization of Education has facilitated the job
opportunities and the realization of the needs of the
economy.
3. Globalization enables the professionals to succeed
in the career or profession.
4. The educational packages been offered by foreign
universities and colleges been only job related
couldn’t have undesirable socio-cultural or
psychological implications as feared by the
opponents of Globalization.

LIMITATIONS OF GLOBALIZATION: -
Globalization is essentially economic in-character. The term
globalization is a derivation of the term global, which ,means
covering the globe. It also means “world wide or embracing
the totaling of a group of items.
To every perspective there are two sides, the brighter side
and the darker side. We came across a lot beneficial effect of
globalization on educations.
LIMITATION OF GLOBALIZATION
• Abundant of culture.
• Less encouraged Handicraft.
• Negative impact of the Internet.
• Inequality.
• Unemployment.
CONCLUSION

has influenced many aspects ranging
