OBJECTIVES OF THE
SEMINAR :
 Understanding stories of indian children with
different backgrounds
 How children behave growing up in vastly
differing circumstances
 Discussing about problems and challenges by
children from different backgrounds and
history
 Learning how to deal with differential students
in a classroom and ways to help them
 Explaination of multi dimensional views by
different individuals and further reflection upon
them.
SESSIONS OF THE SEMINAR :
 Topics were provided according to respective
groups to the entire batch of students and
supervisory teachers were also alotted to them
 Discussion of topics between students and
professor about what all content to include and
focus upon
 Group discussions of respective topics and
alottement of work which will be done
individually by a group.
 Co-ordination of activities done by students
and deciding for a final order to be followed at
the time of seminar
MY GROUPS’S SEMINAR :
 Our topic chose the topic – Difficulties faced by
siblings of disabled children which was one of a kind
and rarely discussed in educational scenarios
 We discussed the below mentioned points in detail :
1. SIBLINGS BECOME OVERLY RESPONSIBLE AND
INDEPENDENT
2.SIBLINGS MAY FEEL NEGLECTED BY PARENTS
3. SIBLINGS FEEL IN THE DARK FROM PARENTS
AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
4. SIBLINGS EXPERIENCE MIXED EMOTIONS
5. SITUATION PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR
SIBLINGs
LEARNING FROM THE
SEMINAR :
 Siblings of children with disabilities are at a
greater risk than average of
developing emotional issues, anxiety,
and stress. These problems are known as
internalizing issues, not obviously visible, and
may be an attempt by these siblings to hide
their problems; they may want to be well-
behaved or protect their already
overburdened parents. Other issues that
these siblings may face are peer problems, as
well as a lack of engagement in
extracurricular activities and academic issues

  • 2. OBJECTIVES OF THE SEMINAR :  Understanding stories of indian children with different backgrounds  How children behave growing up in vastly differing circumstances  Discussing about problems and challenges by children from different backgrounds and history  Learning how to deal with differential students in a classroom and ways to help them  Explaination of multi dimensional views by different individuals and further reflection upon them.
  • 3. SESSIONS OF THE SEMINAR :  Topics were provided according to respective groups to the entire batch of students and supervisory teachers were also alotted to them  Discussion of topics between students and professor about what all content to include and focus upon  Group discussions of respective topics and alottement of work which will be done individually by a group.  Co-ordination of activities done by students and deciding for a final order to be followed at the time of seminar

MY GROUPS’S SEMINAR :  Our topic chose the topic – Difficulties faced by siblings of disabled children which was one of a kind and rarely discussed in educational scenarios  We discussed the below mentioned points in detail : 1. SIBLINGS BECOME OVERLY RESPONSIBLE AND INDEPENDENT 2.SIBLINGS MAY FEEL NEGLECTED BY PARENTS 3. SIBLINGS FEEL IN THE DARK FROM PARENTS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS 4. SIBLINGS EXPERIENCE MIXED EMOTIONS 5. SITUATION PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR SIBLINGs
  • 5. LEARNING FROM THE SEMINAR :  Siblings of children with disabilities are at a greater risk than average of developing emotional issues, anxiety, and stress. These problems are known as internalizing issues, not obviously visible, and may be an attempt by these siblings to hide their problems; they may want to be well- behaved or protect their already overburdened parents. Other issues that these siblings may face are peer problems, as well as a lack of engagement in extracurricular activities and academic issues
