With two workshops for girls aged between 12-14 and 11-13 we explored critiquing unhealthy media for girls, creative writing using The Hero`s Journey with example`s from Brave and allowed them to create their own heroine`s journey. We also delved deeper into collaboration and building a story with games from Augusto Boal.

14. Write Your Own Story
● Use active instead of passive: I.E: The police caught the thief on
Monday.
● Instead of: The thief was caught on Monday
● Use short sentences, verbs and adverbs: The thief stole a
bracelet. There was a storm. It was dark. It was raining heavily.

● Add biographic facts: age,

● Describe how she acts, when
watching football: She is stepping
from one feet to another, biting
her fingernails, her eyes fixed on
the tv-screen. When the
moderator screams “gooooooal”
she jumps three times and runs

will fly.
