Blogging and podcasting is about self expression. It's about being able to share your ideas without any barriers. It's about community. Building community. And joining community. These social media also have a lot of potential to build personal brands. The question, then, is: If Donald Draper were alive today, how would he use social media to build his personal brand.

2. Listen, I'm not here to tell you about Jesus. You already know about Jesus. Either he lives in your heart or he doesn't.

3. I sell products, not advertising.

4. London Fog is a 40 year old brand that sounds like it's existed forever.

5. Everybody else's tobacco is poisonous. Lucky Strikes’ is toasted.

6. You want to get on a plane to feel alive. You want to get on a place to see just the hint of a woman’s thigh because her skirt is just this much too short.

7. Stop writing for other writers.

8. Their success is related to standing out, not fitting in. It’s a fad. Paint them a picture, uh, something like one wants to be the needle in the haystack, not a haystack.

9. We have a good client who trusts us, who likes our work, who pays their bills on time. They don’t deserve to be thrown out the door for a wink from American.

10. I don’t know you at all and this is personal and it’s not up for discussion.

11. That’s none of your business. Freddy had a bad day. Can’t you find something else to do besides dining on the drama of other people’s lives like a bunch of teenage girls?
