TASK 5
HOW DID YOU ATTRACT YOUR
        AUDIENCE?
Sarah is 17 years old. She
looks like she is around
that age which is very
good, because of this she
can attract for example
young teenage boys. She
has that kind of innocence
look which is a good
reason why for example
boys in that age would go
and watch the thriller.
Furthermore she is a
stereotypical ghost, as
she has long hair over her
face and wears a white
dress. Her pale skin
makes her even more
ghost like.
On the right side of the
picture we can see Ted. He
plays a receptionist working
in the boarding school. So
the other target audience
are middle aged men. He is
representing a independent
men how is working very
hard, therefore men who
work as well as he do,
could identify themselves
with him. This is why they
would go and see the
thriller.
This picture shows the contrast of
the real world and the ghost
world. My target audience would
go and watch the thriller because
of this contrast and the thrill of
looking at those two worlds.
Because she always comes and
disappears it makes it very
interesting and so it gets the
audiences attention. Furthermore
you never see her face and so it
makes it even more interesting to
look at the thriller until they see
what they want. Also we have a
precisely view of how we see
ghosts and this thrills us more
because this thriller makes her
looking very realistic so we are
scared of what's going to happen.
This shot here shows the
bright side of the thriller. A
normal lovely day. What is
interesting is that the
audience would interpret
this shot as a normal day,
but when the ghost comes,
it makes it scary because
they realize that the ghost
is around on a normal day.
Which makes the audience
scared because they do
not expect this and so they
get excited of what is a
ghost doing in a boarding
school. A stereotypical
ghost is never around
when he don’t want
something or when he
doesn't want to finish
something…
