The paper proposes a fuzzy-based routing method for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) that selects the most stable routes by considering factors like the number of intermediate nodes, packet queue occupancy, and internode distances, while also predicting route lifetime. Results from simulations indicate that this method, when integrated with the AODV routing protocol, significantly improves packet delivery ratio, reduces average end-to-end delay, and normalizes routing load compared to the traditional AODV protocol. The authors suggest that further enhancements could involve studying the impact of node mobility on the proposed routing method.
