How Does Jesus Purchase His Blood
Jesus gave His life to purchase His Bride, the church. We are told that we were purchased with His
blood in Acts 20:28 NKJV, Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, which the Holy
Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he hath purchased with His own
blood. We are also told in Galatians 4:5 KJV why Jesus paid the bridal price of His blood, To redeem
them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. John the Baptist had already
been baptizing with water, before Jesus ever began His ministry, but Jesus told the disciples before His
Ascension ..., while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: Do not leave Jerusalem,

Research Paper On Sea Walnuts
Diego Morales and Aidan McCaffrey
Marine Science
Summary Paper Ctenophora and the Warty Comb Jelly The phylum Ctenophora is very intriguing, and
o ur research was focused mainly on the species Mnemiopsis, otherwise known as the Sea Walnut.
This species of Comb Jellies is found in freshwater and saltwater all throughout the world. They move
through their habitat with cilia attached to comb rows. The Sea Walnut is thought to be one of largest
organism to move with cilia. This may be because it is not the most advanced organism. Its highest
level of organization is tissues. But do not mistake that for this organism being boring, it has many
redeemable qualities, like bioluminescence

But their bioluminescence is also special, because they glow with rainbow colors. This is in part
possible and useful because of the depth they live in. They tend to live in shallower waters, so the
colors they project would still be visible. Another fun fact is that the Sea Walnuts, when invasive are
very capable of terminating ecosystems. They destroyed an immense number of fisheries on the Black
Sea due to their voracious appetites, and caused economic downturn by the destruction of these
fisheries by eating gargantuan amounts of plankton

External Forces Of Walmart
Environmental forces can have just as big of an impact on any industry as internal forces. It is
imperative that the management of a companies both big and small pay attention to environmental
forces. The reason being is that unlike internal forces, companies have little to no control over
environmental forces. External forces are outside factors or influences that can affect the growth,
operation, or survival of a corporation. To have a better understanding of external forces, one can refer
to Porter s Five Forces. Porter s Five Forces are perfect examples of environmental forces that can
affect the growth, operation, or survival of a corporation. Porter s Five Forces identifies competition in
the industry, power of customers, power of suppliers, threat of substitute products, and potential of
new entrants into the industry as five external forces that shapes every industry. (Investopedia) In this
assignment I will explain how competition is impacting Walmart s market share in the US food retail
industry. The United States has one of the most diverse food retail industry with several major chains
competing for a share. Over the years, Walmart has risen to the forefront of the US food retail industry
while knocking off competitors such as Kroger, Albertsons, and Costco. By the end of 2016, Walmart
and Sam s Club held a commanding 21.4% of the US food retail market share with Kroger coming in
second place with 10.2%. (Produce Retailer) Although Walmart and Sam s Club has a

Understanding Diseases and Developing Cures for the Human...
In 1789, movie theatres were shut down, baseball games were canceled, and panicking parents kept
their children indoors, anything to keep them safe from a viral disease. Animal testing has been
around since ancient times of the Greeks and Romans. Today s society is in a constant race to
understand new diseases and develop cures for the human body. Animal testing has deployed a big
part in nearly every medical discovery over the last ten years. They have helped scientists discover
treatments for diseases, such as Poliomyelitis and test products such as medicines and others for our
safety. It has changed many human lives. Americans are living longer, healthier lives and we owe
much
of that success to Biomedical research (Palazzo, 2008).
Poliomyelitis came around the 20th century killing thousands. Jonas Salk, who was a medical
researcher, discovered and developed the first successful polio vaccine, with the help of animals. He
tested the effectiveness of the vaccine with rabbits, monkeys and rodents (Salem, 1992). Salk was able
to come to an end that the experiments was, in his own words, safe effective and potent. According
to the World Health Organization [WHO], (2013), the Polio vaccine, tested on animals, cut down the
global occurrence of the disease from 350,000 cases in 1988 to 223 cases in 2012. Animal testing
saves lives and has led to cures for many diseases, including Smallpox, Tetanus, and Rabies. Animal

Against Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood, is a nonprofit organization that provides reproductive health services in the U.S.
Margaret Sanger founded the American Birth Control League in 1921, which changed its name to
Planned Parenthood in 1942. Planned Parenthood has 56 locally governed affiliates nationwide and
operates 650 health centers that conform to the communities where they are located. (Parenthood,

Planned Parenthood has been a point of conflict since the day it was opened in 1921. Sanders was
under attack for giving women birth control since she was tired of seeing women die from having too

Chinatown ( 1974 ), Falls Under The Category Of Film Noir...
Chinatown Critique Essay The film Chinatown (1974), falls under the category of Film Noir Style.
The film s basis its plot on corruption scandals, which shed light on dark secrets and very unfortunate
events around the Cross Family, Evelyn Cross and her Father and John Cross (John Huston), who is
the center figure of the plot, and a private investigator Jake Gittes (Jack Nicholson). The central of the
plot is a charge of conspiracy of the corruption between, politicians, Mr. Cross, and the police
department corruption, that started in the less hopeless Chinatown, and now has ramifications in every
sphere of L.A city. The history of the plot comes from a real life event, The 1908 Owned River
scandal and the administration of the department of water during this scandal. The film started with
Gitte, hired as a private investigator by a socialite beauty Faye Dunaway, to investigate her husband
Hollis (a chief engineer), played by Darrel Zwerling. The mise en scene and the film are elaborated
and directed by Roman Polansky (director) and Robert Towne (screenplay). In cinematography, one of
the more important elements is the mise en scene. Due to the fact, that it keeps the audience emotional
and psychological involve in the plot. As can be appreciated in Chinatown (Polansky, 1974), in this
plot Polansky utilized several elements to create in the audience a double crosser twist, through the
corruption and immoral activities portrayed during the film. In general, the motion

ABSTRACT The Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology has been broadly adopted in
access control systems. This technology is based on the use of a card or tag and has some major
drawback or weaknesses that is anyone could get access when he or she steals the card. In this

The RFID technology consists of three key elements: RFID tags, RFID readers, and a back end
database server to identify information. The RFID tag stores its particular ID and some application
data for RFID readers thus the tag contains electronically stored information which is used for access
control system. The major advantage of using the RFID tag is that it allows convenience contactless
access. However, the traditional RFID based access control system identifies an individual only by
means of his or her RFID card that is anyone who presents a registered RFID card will pass the
authentication even he/she is not the genuine card holder or owner. Moreover, there are many RFID
attacks which are:
Sniffing this is reading data from a RFID chips without being given a permission;
Spoofing this is the cloning of information from one chip to another
Tracking this involves the tracking of goods or services without acknowledging the owner.
Denial of Service this involves the jamming of RFID signals to block its normal

Produce a new look for a website.

===================
The problem that was in need of solving was to produce a new look for wow.com to target the 17 to 25
year olds. The look that the company were trying to aim for was young, energetic, dynamic and
flexible.
I firstly set out by comparing some current documents such as flyers, letters and invoices. This helped
me as I could gather the best parts from these documents and use them to give me ideas to create new
ones.
The documents that I selected had to be 3 of a kind that were from three companies with two of a flyer
and a letter.
I the started off by researching and designing a logo for the new look wow.com. I produced four
prototypes of the logo and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I also had to produce a job application form which had to be on the website. I looked on the Internet
for examples of application forms and selected the best ones and took ideas from them. Next
document on the agenda was an invoice. I brought in some invoices and used them to compare and to
help me design mine.
I then had to actually make the website for which wow.com would put their new range on. I created
mine by using an online website builder;
I used this as I don t have much knowledge on building websites. This website had to include a
homepage, an order form and a catalogue. I new what kind of look I was aiming for at the start and I
thing I achieved it.
To help improve my website I created a questionnaire to be answered by the first few customers. This
is so I could make improvements to it straight away and also to satisfy other customer s needs. The
questionnaire had two parts to it, the questions and answers section which was design so that I could
get exactly what I wanted and secondly the tick box section which provided me with what generally
what they thought of the website. I then produced the results and incorporated the improvements into
the final design.
Overall I think what I have produced has been exactly what the company has been looking for and I
feel that they will be happy with what I have given them. All of the stationary is stylish and modern; I

Finding The Way With Service Animals Essay
Finding the Way with Service Animals
Johnny had never smiled in his entire four years of life, until July, 2015. He received a life changing
gift, a service dog trained as a companion to children with autism. His family had researched and tried
many ways to help him have an easier and more interactive life but to no avail until he got his service
dog. Improving life emotionally, physically and/or socially is the overall goal of people and/or
families with service animals.
There has been a long history with animals and their natural bonds with humans for many decades
now. Dogs have helped people with a multitude of illnesses for some time now, however Americans
were not the first to discover this natural trait in animals. The Germans during World War 1 were the
first to discover this. In the book, History of Guide Dog Use by Veterans it states that the German
army in particular relied heavily on the use of German shepherds as ambulance and messenger dogs.
The Germans reportedly used more than 25,000 dogs during World War I. these dogs were ideally
suited for this type of work, with ell known traits such as trainability, loyalty, intelligence, strength,
and endurance (Ostermeier 587). In today s society, we have numerous people who are unaware of the
services that animals can provide for humans. Specifically humans with mental or physical
disabilities. In this paper I will present various types of service animals as well as the many services
they provide.

The Procedure Of Language Learning Of The Infants
Less than 1 percent of American adults today are proficient in a foreign language that they studied in a
U.S. classroom, states Amelia Friedman in The Atlantic. That s noteworthy considering that in 2008
almost all high schools in the country 93 percent offered foreign languages (Friedman). This has
resulted in, as Brad Marshall, a teaching fellow of languages and literatures, notes, [the] widespread
belief that adults will inevitably have problems and will certainly never become fluent, while children
are supposed to pick up languages with ease . However, study after study has shown the procedure of
language learning of the infants. The essential elements of learning a language lie in your ears and the
way you process into the language. Although there is a widespread myth in learning a language
children acquire a language much easier than adults do the innate ability of adults language acquisition
are basically as same as that of children s.
Adults have a hard time understanding what people are saying in a foreign language. They think they
don t know what they are saying because of their lack of vocabulary, but it turns out they cannot even
understand a word that they know when they hear the word. However, this phenomena you cannot
catch the sound of a foreign language is pretty normal. As the first step of the language acquisition, the
infants tune their ears to be perceptual to the language. Marcia Barinaga in the journal Science points

The Effectiveness of Composting in Protecting the...
As of recently, there has been an ever growing buzz regarding the environment and being sustainable,
and we need to embrace this movement. As the population grows, our demands on Earth s resources
grow, and this current rate is not sustainable. Barring any change, we will not have enough freshwater
and natural resources to support our society in the near future. Each day, we incur more and more
damage through the demands of consumerism, and this must come to an end. We must, as a society,
take it upon ourselves to make individual changes which will potentially be the start of a global shift

However, composting also has many other substantial environmental benefits. Composting is a very
efficient sustainable process that achieves its goal of being environmentally friendly by enriching soil,
remediating contaminated soil, and preventing pollution.
One of the main environmental benefits of compost is that it enriches the soil. The compost helps bind
the sand, silt, and clay particles in the soil together, resulting in improved storage capacity for
nutrients and water (Davies 41). This also results in a secondary benefit less water is needed to water
plants fertilized by compost. Compost is also very nutrient rich, so rich that gardeners commonly refer
to it as black gold ( Evanston... 3). It improves soil fertility as the composting process encourages the
growth of beneficial bacteria and fungi, which in turn break down organic matter to create humus, a
rich nutrient filled material. Kate Stewart, a student at Northwestern University and member of
GREEN House, has had extended experience with using compost to enrich poor Texas soil and says
that adding rich compost can make a huge difference... this means we can garden. This ability of
compost to enrich infertile soil is a profound environmental benefit.
Another important environmental impact of composting is its ability to remediate contaminated soil.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the composting process can absorb odors and

The nature of threats to the environment posed by oily wastewater containing hydrocarbons, has led to
it being recognized as hazardous waste. Literature has shown that hydrocarbons contribute to the
greenhouse effect and global warming, deplete the ozone, increase occurrences of cancer and
respiratory disorders, and reduce the photosynthetic ability of plants. In addition, such hazardous
waste is primarily generated at growing rates, by various industries which utilize petroleum products
as energy sources and raw materials. The effective remediation of oily sludge has become a worldwide

It is worthwhile to examine the various definitions of oily sludge to recognize the multi layered issue

The definition that depicts what oily sludge is comprised is as follows: Oily sludge is one of the most
significant solid wastes generated in the petroleum industry. It is a complex emulsion of various

Montessori Method Of Education
Montessori Method of Education is one of the unique methods of the education which stimulates the
child s natural curiosity to learn. Culture and creativity area an integral part of the Montessori
curriculum. Every area of the Montessori curriculum is interrelated and follows the same foundations.
Each area of curriculum has special purpose of education and helps the child in stimulating their
imaginative powers. Montessori Method strongly believes that imagination is based on the reality
based experiences and creativity is directly related to exposing the children to real life situations. So,
we can say that in order to be more imaginative and creative, child must have real and concrete
experiences with the real objects.
According to Maria Montessori, The true basis of the imagination is reality, and its perception is
related to exactness of observation. It is necessary to prepare children to perceive the things in their
environment exactly, in order to secure for them the material required by the imagination. Intelligence,
reasoning, and distinguishing one thing from another prepares a cement for imaginative constructions

How I Invented Writing Essay
Writing is, at its core, a technology. It allows us to take our thoughts and arrange them spatially in the
physical world. Living in a culture where this practice is an every day occurrence, the physical nature
of writing fluidly becomes part of our consciousness. This is what the class project exposed for me.
Having to invent a writing technology forced me to see the importance of being able to easily put
down my thoughts and work with them visually.
At this very moment I am transferring thoughts into lines, shaping, moving, juggling them around on
the familiar square format of the page. This is a process I wanted to allow for with my own invented
technology. The ability to work with your thoughts and shape ... Show more content on

With this in mind I pruned a few straight branches off a wild grape vine near my apartment. As mainly
a computer based writer, I was thinking in terms of font all the letters of the alphabet could be crudely
formed with straight lines. I pictured the blocky green on black letters of the first computers I had
learned to type on. To this end I broke the grape branches into relatively even sections and arranged
them on the kitchen table. A flat surface and these broken twigs were my basic writing technology.
Obviously I would be limited by the amount of sticks I carried with me, and there would be little value
in terms of permanence, but I could shape my thoughts!
The act of actually writing something with my technology was extremely slow, and I came to the
conclusion that a strong gust if wind would probably blow all my work away. There was a definite
sense of physical work involved with this method of writing. Unlike using a computer or pen and
paper, I was constantly aware of the act of writing with my sticks. More modern forms of writing were
so easy and fluid that once you began you could focus completely on your thoughts. Working with the
twigs, I had to pay constant attention to craft legible letters and keep words somewhat straight. There
was no easy melding of the mental and physical worlds here.
The physical labor of my stick script was perhaps closest to the act of typing. My first days on a
computer were

Financial Position of Tesco PLC
Introduction The relevance of evaluating both the financial performance as well as position of Tesco
PLC cannot be overstated. This is more so the case given the need to determine the stability and
viability of the company going forward. This text seeks to evaluate the financial performance as well
as position of Tesco PLC by amongst other things analyzing the entity s financial statements. In this
case, the evaluation will be based on the company s recently published annual accounts.
Tesco PLC: Company Background Yahoo! Finance (2012) describes Tesco PLC as a company that
operates stores that primarily offer food products, as well as general merchandise, clothing products,
and electrical products. In addition to that, Tesco PLC is also involved in the provision of insurance,
financial as well as banking (retail) services (Yahoo! Finance, 2012). Taking into consideration the
number of branches it has in various parts of the world, Tesco PLC can be regarded one of the largest
retailers around the globe. Having been established sometimes in the year 1919 by Jack Cohen, the
company has surely come a long way (Tesco, 2012). The phenomenal growth of Tesco PLC over time
can largely be attributed to both the unwavering vision of the founder and the selection of a competent
team of managers to run the company s operations during its growth phase. Currently, the company

John Wesley s Sermon On The Scripture Way Of Salvation
John Wesley wrote in his Sermon 16 that the means of grace are understood as outward signs, words,
or actions ordained by God... to be the ordinary channels whereby (God) might convey to men
preventing, justifying, or sanctifying grace. Means are what happen outside of oneself and the grace is
what does the work inside of ourselves or another way to say this is to say the ways we receive and
experience grace. When we speak of the sacraments we refer to them as outward signs of an inward
and spiritual grace. The means of grace in the sacraments, means are the bread and cup of communion
and the water of the baptism and the liturgy spoken. These act in an outward and physical way, but the
real work is that of the invisible grace we receive. Another way to think about this is how Wesley
wrote in his sermon The Scripture Way of Salvation. On our journey to sanctification, he states, what
keeps us going on the journey are the means of grace, whether they be for ourselves or done for
others. His basic point was that once we are brought into awareness of the grace and our need to
repent and turn from our sin, the means provide the nourishment our souls need to grow in grace. How
else could one grow in grace than by means of grace? The means of grace fall into two basic
categories, works of piety and works of mercy and each of these is divided into two more
subcategories of individual practices and communal practices or what I do and what we do together.

Research Paper On Breaking Cosmic Ice
Breaking the Cosmic Ice
Scientists have shown that the Earth stops energetic neutrinos, according to data collected from the
IceCube array in Antarctica. High energy neutrino interactions monitored by the IceCube detector, an
array of 5,160 basketball sized optical sensors buried a mile deep in a cubic kilometer of exceptionally
clear ice near the south pole.
Neutrinos are infinitesimally small and nearly massless particles that surround us at any given
moment. Roughly one trillion from the Sun pass through a human s eyes every second, and they come
in three types (called flavors): electron, muon, and tauon neutrinos, each name corresponding to three
charged particles with which they pair. Since they interact so rarely, it s extremely ... Show more

The neutrino interactions analyzed have energies in the trillion electron volt, or TeV, range. A
mosquito puts out about one TeV. The detected neutrinos energy ranged from 6.3 TeV to 980 TeV.
Miarecki performed much of the data analysis whilst working toward her PhD as an IceCube
researcher. It s a multidisciplinary idea, she said in a news release. In order to understand if the cross
section of neutrinos detected matches Standard Model predictions, the analysis used input from
geologists who supplied models of the Earth s interior from seismic studies. With this, scientists were
able to compare their data with a simulation of neutrinos passing through the Earth.
In this study, researchers measured the flux of muon neutrinos as a function of their energy and their
incoming direction. Neutrinos with higher energies and with incoming directions closer to the North
Pole are more likely to interact with matter on their way through Earth. Image credit: IceCube

We created some of the data from seismic data bouncing off of various parts of the Earth, Miarecki
told Futurism. Putting together all the constraints, including the gravitational constriction of the Earth,

with the high energy neutrinos growing scarce until the frequency of their occurrence passes beyond

Customer Service And Customer Satisfaction
Service is defined in many different ways, all of which can be seen as accurate. An example of one of
them pointed out by Cook (2008 p.185) Customer service is what the customer says it is . This
assignment will be examining the importance of customer service, delivered by business and its
employees and why customer satisfaction is important especially within the service sector. To
illustrate this, an example of a bad customer service that was condoned by myself will be provided.

Constantine And Christianity Essay
Gaius Flavius Valerius Aurelius Constantinus, or Constantine, is commonly referred to as the fist
Christian emperor of the Roman Empire and as the defender of Christianity. Such grand titles are not
necessarily due for the reasons that people commonly think of them today.
The first clear instance where Christianity is seen in Constantine s life is during his campaign against
Maxentius. In the spring of 311, when Constantine was marching to Rome to battle against Maxentius,
he saw a vision in the sky, a bright cross along with the words by this sign conquer. Later that night,
he had a dream in which God told him to use that sign as a safeguard to use in all of his future battles.
Constantine awoke and immediately ordered his troops ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once Constantine became the ruler of the entire Western Roman Empire, he met with Licinius, the co
emperor of the eastern empire, in Milan in 313. The intended purpose of this visit was to secure an
alliance between the two rulers by the marriage of Constantine s half sister Constantia to Lucinius. It
was at this time that the emperors established what is now known as the Edict of Milan. It granted the
freedom to pursue any religion within the empire, not just Christianity. Christianity was merely made
legal at this point, not the state sponsored religion. The edict also granted the return of properties
seized from Christians by governors. Maximinus Daia, who was the co ruler of the eastern empire
invaded Lucinian territory in the Balkans and was defeated by Lucinius army. After a time, relations
soured between Constantine and Lucinius. Lucinius eventually went back on the agreement made
during the Edict of Milan and in 322 and began persecuting Christians once again (Constantine I).
This led to the conflict between him and Constantine in 324, which was viewed as a war of religious
beliefs in which Lucinius and his army of Goth mercenaries represented ancient pagan beliefs, and
Constantine and his army of Francs represented Christianity. The opposing armies met at Adrianople
on the third of July and eventually led to Constantine besieging the city of Byzantium with his ground
troops and naval fleet.

The Red Tent Essay
Midrash is a form of literature of Hebrew theology and philosophy. There are two types of midrash:
midrash aggadah and midrash halakha. Midrash aggadah can best be described as a form of
storytelling that explores ethics and values in biblical texts. It can take any biblical word or verse and
interpret it to answer a question or explain something in the text. Ariela Pelaia. Whereas midrash
aggadah focuses on biblical characters as they pertain to values and ideas, midrash halakha focuses on
Jewish law and practice. Midrash halakha attempts to take biblical texts that are either too general or
unclear and try to clarify what they ultimately means.
The novel, The Red Tent by Anita Diamant, retell the story of Dinah seen in Genesis, Chapter 34. In
most version of the Bible, all interpretations of Genesis, Chapter 34 infer that Dinah was raped. In the
novel Diamant, reinterprets Dinah s rape as a misunderstood love affair. Some readers categorized the

shifting the perspective from character to character is a tool used by the novelist to gain the reader s

Viking History and Culture
Viking Culture Viking history and culture have been depicted in many movies, television series, and
stories. Vikings are commonly known as barbarians that raid villages and intimidate others with huge
ships with dragon heads, and horned helmets. This information is based on facts, but has been
distorted and exaggerated over many years and tales. Viking history spans from the years 780 until
1100, which is the time span of the Viking raids. Not every Scandinavian was a Viking; Vikings were
known as the men that conducted raids and bloody battles. The old definition of Viking was
synonymous with the term pirate. The modern definition is relevant to the Scandinavian medieval
culture, to include farming, crafting and trading. The people from the north, Norsemen, lived in
villages and on dispersed farms in various regions. The Norwegian Vikings were from Iceland and
Ireland. The Danish Vikings were from France and Britain. The Swedish Vikings were from Russia.
Regardless of region, Vikings are addressed as one group of people. Written documentation from this
era, sagas specify the region of Vikings being recorded. The Vikings government was unlike any other
at that time. In fact, there was no emperor, king, or lord. The only sagas found about Viking law were
written late in the 10th century in Iceland. The people were governed by consensus, and legal issues
were resolved by compromise and negotiation. This doesn t mean that feuds didn t

How Did The Court System Work During The Middle Ages
How did the court system work during the Middle Ages ?
The court system in the middle ages worked by using the term guilty until proven innocent and using
trials of ordeal to determine innocence. The courts weren t based on the idea of an accused being
innocent until proven guilty as there was no concept to believe the accused was innocent. It was the
job of the accused to prove their innocence. The accused could do this by taking an oath to prove their
innocence. The accused would also be required bring oath helpers, these helpers would normally know

Essay on A Pair of Tickets Amy Tan

Most of the characters in this story belong to one family, June May s family. It suggests to us that the

her Chinese roots but also her father rediscovers his childhood Chinese in him. Both the father and
daughter are going to China for the same reason: to see their sisters. Her father is going to meet his
older sister, Aiyi, and June May is going to see her half sisters from her mother s first mirage. Their
reaction when they see their sisters is the same; they are both emotionally moved. Their response
when June May helps her father take a picture of him and Aiyi is the same as when June May and her
sisters eagerly wait for the film to develop. The camera flashes and I hand them the snapshot. Aiyi and
my father still stand close together, each of them holding the corner of the picture, watching as their
images begin to form. They are almost reverentially quiet. The flash of the Polaroid goes off and my
father hands me the snapshot. My sisters and I watch quietly together, eager to see what develops. One

Praise Song for the Day
Praise Song For The Day
November 26, 2012
This poem, Praise Song for the Day by Elizabeth Alexander, is one of the most memorable poems that
have been recited within the last 20 years. Immediately after President Obama was sworn into office,
Elizabeth Alexander recited her poem to the masses that had gathered on that cold winter day in
January. The piece is full of symbolism, with the tone being hopeful, inspiring and thankful. The poem
begins with a description of daily life which is filled with the daily grind of hard working individuals,
often doing the work that drives this great nation of ours...small businesses, blue collar laborers,

The religious belief systems of different peoples that allow us to get along with other peoples differ in
degree. The poem presents an even stronger concept of love that goes beyond Love thy neighbor as
thy self , and even beyond marital, filial, national. Some believe the way to unity is to avoid being
selfish, not hurting others, and treating others as you would your compatriots, your kin, or yourself.
This poem suggests there is a love that extends beyond those whom we are familiar with to include a
widening pool of light.
Finally, in relation to the present day, there is a sense of the immense possibilities ( anything can be
made, any sentence begun ). This is contained in the words that may inspire others to action that may
bring such a love closer toward reality. From disunity ( walking past each other ) to blindly walk[ing]
into that which we cannot yet see, this poem now suggests the alternative of walking forward in that
light guided by a new vision of a love that may unite us.
I focused on the symbolic element of the poem, because I liked the presentation and how it flowed. It
made me think about how far we ve come in this country. I believe that Elizabeth draws the reader
into the poem just I was drawn, by suggesting that we as a nation that was literally built off the labor

How did Bass fishing become a sport?
Fishing has always been a way to collect food, but did you know how it became a competitive sport?
It all started with a game of basketball. I am sure you are thinking to yourself; a game of basketball is
how fishing tournaments came about?
It all started with a man by the name of Ray Scott in 1968. While watching a basketball game he
thought of the idea of competitive Bass fishing. He than began to brainstorm ideas and write down the
rules of fishing tournaments. Later that year, he held the first All American Bass Tournament. After
that tournament, competitive Bass fishing took off like a 10 pound Bass taking away your fishing

The Consequences Of Drug Abuse And Addiction
Drug abuse and addiction are controversial topics in modern society. In general, drug abuse leads to
drug addiction. Drug abuse can be defined as the overuse of drugs along with the process of
undergoing efforts to obtain drugs in an (usually) illegal manner, whereas drug addiction is the
inability to live without said drug and engaging in any attempts necessary to obtain them. Addicted
individuals engage in drug abuse. The two concepts tend to go together, ruining relationships by
becoming the most important thing in the life of someone afflicted with this disease. Most people who
find themselves addicted to drugs often seek treatment but end up procrastinating any options to do so
and ultimately remain in this harmful cycle.
To determine if an individual is abusing drugs, it is important to compare the person s previous
behavior with their current behavior. This can be difficult as many addicts tend to distance themselves
from their friends and families early on to the point where anyone close to them may not be able to
notice a significant change. It could also be useful to track an individual s history at pharmacies to
check for possible prescription drug abuse and at convenience stores to check for possible alcohol and
cigarette purchases. Quantifying a concept such as drug abuse is difficult but not impossible. One
potential quantification method could occur via the administration of a survey regarding respondents
feelings about specific drugs as well as their

Training of Air Force Personnel Canada s role from WWI to WWII Introduction In the 20th century

with new technology, specifically the fixed wing aircraft which gave birth to a new battlefield the sky .
This changed the tactics of previous wars, the airplane was capable of many duties; ranging from
aerial reconnaissance to ground attack to the tactical and strategic bombing, both by day and night.

This agreement set in motion one of Canada s principal roles during the war; to provide Air Force
personnel with the training they needed. Canada established training schools for aerial warfare,
ranging from flight training to gunnery and bombing to navigation and communications. The first of
these schools were scheduled to be opened at the end of spring in 1940, and all were to be operational
within two years.3 In order to achieve the B.C.A.T.P. s aim, sites had to be selected, infrastructure
constructed, equipment acquired; and the recruitment of professionals. Canada showed great success
in the training of Air Force personnel, as by the end of 1943 the number of trained aircrews exceeded
the immediate overseas need. As we have discussed, while Canada had an important role in the
training of Air Force personnel in WWI, with its role increasing in WWII. Since Canada did not have
an Air Force during WWI, there was a lack of knowledge and resources available to train Air Force
personnel, therefore when Canada got involved in the training of Air Force personnel she had to rely
on the expertise of the RFC to train Canada in aerial warfare. As a result of the lessons learned during
WWI, Canada took control and was quick to putin place the requirements of the B.C.A.P.T. for

The Bible Is True And Not Myths
Archaeology has verified that the bible is true but how? First, archeology has confirmed the biblical
stories are true and not myths, as the world believed, because of ancient sites and civilizations
discovered. Second, manuscripts that were found and translated has shown people today how the
people back in the bible lived and worked. Last but not least, archeology has shown where major
events, like battles, have gone on and during what year, they happened. According to Archeology and
the Old Testament, the book of Judges took place around the Iron Age period, which was 1200 586
BC. Excavations have provided some useful information about daily life in ancient Israel during
Judges, including the land, climate and people. However, before we learn about how people lived their
daily lives in Israel during the Iron Ages, we should learn about the geography of Israel. The land of
Israel stretches from Dan in the North to Beersheba in the South and from the Mediterranean Sea in
the west to the Transjordan in the east. Israel s landscape is divided into five main regions and even
though the regions are in the same place they all receive different amounts of rain, which produce
different crops. The first region, the coastal plain, goes along the Mediterranean coast to Rosh
HaNiqura, receives about 25 to 16 inches of rain which is a great place to grow grain. The second
region, is the central mountain range that goes from Galilee to Negev Highlands; this region receives

Reasons For The Missouri Compromise
In 1820 the Missouri compromise was formed and the reason it was formed was to satisfy both
Missouri and Maine by admitting both to be states, one Free State and one slave state. The reasoning
behind this was to maintain balance in senate. Missouri wanted to be admitted as a slave state and it
would have disrupted the balance in the senate, so that is why they admitted Maine as a Free State
making the senate balanced again. That was not the only part of the Compromise, the other part is
called the 36° 30°N line. Referring to the longitude latitude coordinates for this boundary line.

California now wanted to be admitted as a free state. Henery Clay also took part in the making of the
compromise to solve this problem. California was admitted as a free state and the other southwestern
territories would decide whether to be free or not through popular sovereignty. This influenced
stronger fugitive slave laws in the south which eventually graduated to any southerner accusing any
black man or woman being a runaway slave. Many Southerners did not like the idea of the Missouri
compromise because it made laws regarding slavery. The south did not want slavery to be completely
abolished because a large part of the South s economy depended on slaves working on plantations to
produce crops and goods. On the other hand, the north condemned the compromise acquiescing the
expansion of slavery. Eventually, the Missouri Compromise was deemed unconstitutional in the
Supreme Court during the Dredd Scott case. Henery Clay s talent for composing compromises for the
north and south helped keep a balance between slave and Free states. He very well may have
postponed the start of the civil war by many years. Clay s nationalism in many people s eyes was seen
as the savior of the union, keeping it intact for as long as

The museum opened to the public on August 10, 1793. At this point it only had a little over 500
paintings in its possession. Most of these works were either royal art, or confiscated church property.
During the years of 1796 until 1801, the Louvre was closed due to maintenance and construction.
Eventually, this collection was added to with contributions during the reigns of Louis XVIII and

Vegetarianism And The Other Weight Problem Summary
In his article Vegetarianism and the Other Weight Problem , James Rachels argues that meat eating is
immoral and it is a moral duty to be vegetarian. In order to discuss the problems and come up with his
conclusions, Rachels considers two arguments for vegetarianism.
The first argument is one appealing to the interests that humans have in conserving food resources. He
starts out by giving figures to illustrate the American overabundance of food as many American
households are throwing out garbage about ten percent of the food they buy ... Show more content on

The suffering of animals who are raised and slaughtered for food is not justified, since it is not
necessary for us to eat animals to get the nutrition we need. We treat animals cruelly simply just to
serve our trivial enjoyment of taste. In addition, Rachels asserts that it is impossible to treat the
animals decently yet still produce a sufficient amount of meat. According to him, the humane
production of millions of pounds of meat would be so costly that it would force most of us to become
vegetarians, as most of us would not have the resources to be able to afford much meat. In response to
the question that: if meat could be produced humanely, without mistreating the animals prior to eating
them painlessly, would there be anything wrong with it? (Rachels 372), he argues that human being
the subjects of biographical and not merely biological lives is what qualifies humans for rights;
however, the animals with which we are most familiar are subjects of biographical lives and if we
have the right to life on the basis of having a life, then those animals have rights to life as well. Thus,
even if the farming practices are completely humane, killing the animals is still immoral. There are
millions of vegetarians already, there is already less cruelty than there would be otherwise, so little
effect does not equate none. He uses the analogy of slavery to

Essay on Whirlpool Corporation
Jennifer Hillman February 26, 2013 Whirlpool Corporation Giving ERP a Spin 1. How was the
organization prepared for the change? Whirlpool thought they were ready to go live with SAP until
September 18, 1999. Whirlpool seemed to be making all the right moves, like dispatcher assignment,
having centralized pricing, and vendor interfacing. Even the best laid plans don t always work.
Everything seemed to be going smoothly at first because there were only 1000 system users, once
4,000 users were on the system, performance deteriorated which lead to 4 8 weeks delivery delays to
which some customer cancelled their order and went with a competitor. Whirlpool should never have
gone live until they realized what impact the red flags ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The interfaces was too complex and there was a lack of management participation 5. Evaluate the
steps that were taken in the ERP activities. Which were done well and which could be improved? The
dispatcher assignment the fact that Whirlpool will consolidated 22 field offices into one hub, even
though it takes away the intimate knowledge, it still saves money. Centralized Pricing no wonder it
takes 110 days to reprice its entire product line, when you are trying to manage an 180,000 line report.
The centralized pricing will make Whirlpool more competitive in its 170 countries worldwide. Very
smart move. Vendor interface the fact that Whirlpool will save $600,000 a year to move to Easy EDI
is a no brainer. It will also allow the customer to have accurate data on their orders along with better
customer satisfaction. Remember the best customer is a return customer. 6. Do you think SAP should
be held accountable for any of the problems faced by Whirlpool? Why? Yes I think SAP should be
held responsible, after all it is their systems and name that were on the line. If they knew that there
were Red Flags, why would they allow Whirlpool to make the decision to go live? Even though SAP
said that many companies have multiple Red Flags and hundreds of little problems, when compared to
just two that Whirlpool had, SAP

The Dysfunctional American Dream in Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller
In the American society, it is thought that if you work hard, no matter what circumstances, you can
become rich and powerful. You can overcome deep poverty to become the richest man alive. This
superhuman absurdity is what is referred to as the American Dream. Day after day, Americans struggle
to achieve fame and prosperity, only to find failure and heartbreak. The American Dream in today s
society is dead and is proven several times through plays, poetry, and essays.
The perfect example of the dysfunctional American Dream is that of Willy Loman in Death of a
Salesman by Arthur Miller. Willy innermost desires result in lies and extreme failure. ... Show more

He goes to such extremes that he fools himself into a deep state of depression (Clurman, 133). The
Dream that Willy strives so badly to achieve is one filled with flaw upon flaw. First of all, he s
dreaming of all the wrong things. Biff says He had all the wrong dreams. All, all wrong, he never
knew who he was (Miller, 177). Willy is a man of confusion and distress (Clurman, 134). He should
be longing for things such as love and companionship rather than money (Garrison). Willy led a
meaningless life where his wife was a part of the problem rather than the solution. Her supposed
undying loyalty and love only fueled the fire rather than solve the problem (Garrison). In her
admiration of his dreams, it is lethal. (Garrison). In the essence of support, Linda is Willy s number
one fan, but to no prevail, she only feeds his lies. Another problem of Willy s dream is that he gives
himself too much credit. He continually goes on in the play about how he is well know in all of New
England as a great salesman (Miller, 121). But in actuality, he is a mediocre, aging has been. He puts
on a mask for the most detrimental person: himself. It is the lying to himself that kills Willy s soul. His
constant striving of a goal that a man of his nature just could never achieve is extremely harmful to his
sanity. Biff says, Pop! I m a dime a dozen, and so are you! Willy replies, I am not a dime a dozen!

Essay On The Nurse In Romeo And Juliet
In the tragedy play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, one of the main comical characters is
the Nurse who is an old lower class servant for the Capulet s. She wears a houppelande (an outer
clothing, with a long, full body and flaring sleeves) and is indicated to be ugly and old by Mercutio in
Act two scene four. In about the beginning of the play, the Nurse appears to be a close friend and a
mother figure to Juliet although she betrays her at the end when telling her to forget Romeo and marry
Paris. The Nurse has a very funny personality since she s always making these inappropriate jokes.
For example one of her dirty jokes are To fetch a ladder by which your love Must climb a bird s nest

To start, Shakespeare s opinion of what must be done for love is clear through the attempts the Nurse
makes to try and keep the relationship Romeo and Juliet were having a secret. The Nurse is the only
other person who knows about Romeo and Juliet s love for each other asides from Friar Lawrence, she
kept it a secret and supported Juliet s decisions even in times she didn t want to out of her love for
Juliet. The play Romeo and Juliet would not be able to function without the Nurse in many ways. To
start, the Nurse technically raised Juliet because of Lady Capulet s absences if she wasn t around and
some other servant or Juliet s mom raised Juliet, Juliet may not be the person she is, she may never
marry or even meet Romeo and the story would ve been exclusively different. Secondly, the Nurse is a
comical character which means she is a character who makes the audience laugh in the play Romeo
and Juliet with her inappropriate nurse jokes. Also, Nurse acts as a go between for Romeo and Juliet
without her the messages Romeo and Juliet sent to each other would have gone

Ozzy Osbourne Suicide Solution Analysis
Music has a powerful influence in our lives. It is something that surrounds us every day; it has become
so attached to us that we use it as inspiration, to feel relaxed, comfortable and sometimes we make
decisions led by the type of music we are listening in that instant. During the time Ozzy Osbourne has
released many pieces of music containing very contentious messages, which is the case of Suicide
Solution . In result of this piece of music, there were some tragical deaths, making Suicide Solution to
become controversial.
The song was released on September 20, 1980. But its outcomes did not wait too long and four years
later Osbourne was in the eye of the hurricane. On October 26, 1984, a 19 years old American named
John McCollum shot himself in his bedroom while listening to Osbourne s songs. His parents pointed
out that the song Suicide Solution had encouraged him to commit suicide. The police reported that the
solo debut Blizzard of Osbourne was found on McCollum s turntable and they said that the last song
he had listened was Suicide Solution . He shot himself and he was found still wearing his headphones.
John s parent sued Osbourne in October 1985; they sued him and his record company. But the case
was dismissed in August 1986. When this happened, John s parents tried to bring even more attention
to the case. They said that the song contained themes of devil worship and death, they used as
evidence the quote that says suicide in the only way out and they

Research Paper On Sea Walnuts Diego Morales and Aidan McCaffrey Marine Science Summary Paper Ctenophora and the Warty Comb Jelly The phylum Ctenophora is very intriguing, and o ur research was focused mainly on the species Mnemiopsis, otherwise known as the Sea Walnut. This species of Comb Jellies is found in freshwater and saltwater all throughout the world. They move through their habitat with cilia attached to comb rows. The Sea Walnut is thought to be one of largest organism to move with cilia. This may be because it is not the most advanced organism. Its highest level of organization is tissues. They destroyed an immense number of fisheries on the Black Sea due to their voracious appetites, and caused economic downturn by the destruction of these fisheries by eating gargantuan amounts of plankton (https://faculty.washington.edu/cemills/Ctenophores.html). It is imperative that the management of a companies both big and small pay attention to environmental forces. The reason being is that unlike internal forces, companies have little to no control over environmental forces. External forces are outside factors or influences that can affect the growth, operation, or survival of a corporation. To have a better understanding of external forces, one can refer to Porter s Five Forces. Porter s Five Forces are perfect examples of environmental forces that can affect the growth, operation, or survival of a corporation. Porter s Five Forces identifies competition in the industry, power of customers, power of suppliers, threat of substitute products, and potential of new entrants into the industry as five external forces that shapes every industry. (Investopedia) In this assignment I will explain how competition is impacting Walmart s market share in the US food retail industry. The United States has one of the most diverse food retail industry with several major chains competing for a share. • 5. Understanding Diseases and Developing Cures for the Human... In 1789, movie theatres were shut down, baseball games were canceled, and panicking parents kept their children indoors, anything to keep them safe from a viral disease. Animal testing has been around since ancient times of the Greeks and Romans. Today s society is in a constant race to understand new diseases and develop cures for the human body. Animal testing has deployed a big part in nearly every medical discovery over the last ten years. They have helped scientists discover treatments for diseases, such as Poliomyelitis and test products such as medicines and others for our safety. It has changed many human lives. Americans are living longer, healthier lives and we owe much of that success to Biomedical research (Palazzo, 2008). Poliomyelitis came around the 20th century killing thousands. Jonas Salk, who was a medical researcher, discovered and developed the first successful polio vaccine, with the help of animals. He tested the effectiveness of the vaccine with rabbits, monkeys and rodents (Salem, 1992). Salk was able to come to an end that the experiments was, in his own words, safe effective and potent. According to the World Health Organization [WHO], (2013), the Polio vaccine, tested on animals, cut down the global occurrence of the disease from 350,000 cases in 1988 to 223 cases in 2012. Animal testing saves lives and has led to cures for many diseases, including Smallpox, Tetanus, and Rabies. Animal research has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The film s basis its plot on corruption scandals, which shed light on dark secrets and very unfortunate events around the Cross Family, Evelyn Cross and her Father and John Cross (John Huston), who is the center figure of the plot, and a private investigator Jake Gittes (Jack Nicholson). The central of the plot is a charge of conspiracy of the corruption between, politicians, Mr. Cross, and the police department corruption, that started in the less hopeless Chinatown, and now has ramifications in every sphere of L.A city. The history of the plot comes from a real life event, The 1908 Owned River scandal and the administration of the department of water during this scandal. The film started with Gitte, hired as a private investigator by a socialite beauty Faye Dunaway, to investigate her husband Hollis (a chief engineer), played by Darrel Zwerling. The mise en scene and the film are elaborated and directed by Roman Polansky (director) and Robert Towne (screenplay). In cinematography, one of the more important elements is the mise en scene. Due to the fact, that it keeps the audience emotional and psychological involve in the plot. As can be appreciated in Chinatown (Polansky, 1974), in this plot Polansky utilized several elements to create in the audience a double crosser twist, through the corruption and immoral activities portrayed during the film. Composting is a very efficient sustainable process that achieves its goal of being environmentally friendly by enriching soil, remediating contaminated soil, and preventing pollution. One of the main environmental benefits of compost is that it enriches the soil. The compost helps bind the sand, silt, and clay particles in the soil together, resulting in improved storage capacity for nutrients and water (Davies 41). This also results in a secondary benefit less water is needed to water plants fertilized by compost. Compost is also very nutrient rich, so rich that gardeners commonly refer to it as black gold ( Evanston... 3). John Wesley s Sermon On The Scripture Way Of Salvation John Wesley wrote in his Sermon 16 that the means of grace are understood as outward signs, words, or actions ordained by God... to be the ordinary channels whereby (God) might convey to men preventing, justifying, or sanctifying grace. Means are what happen outside of oneself and the grace is what does the work inside of ourselves or another way to say this is to say the ways we receive and experience grace. When we speak of the sacraments we refer to them as outward signs of an inward and spiritual grace. The means of grace in the sacraments, means are the bread and cup of communion and the water of the baptism and the liturgy spoken. These act in an outward and physical way, but the real work is that of the invisible grace we receive. Another way to think about this is how Wesley wrote in his sermon The Scripture Way of Salvation. On our journey to sanctification, he states, what keeps us going on the journey are the means of grace, whether they be for ourselves or done for others. His basic point was that once we are brought into awareness of the grace and our need to repent and turn from our sin, the means provide the nourishment our souls need to grow in grace. How else could one grow in grace than by means of grace? It was at this time that the emperors established what is now known as the Edict of Milan. It granted the freedom to pursue any religion within the empire, not just Christianity. This led to the conflict between him and Constantine in 324, which was viewed as a war of religious beliefs in which Lucinius and his army of Goth mercenaries represented ancient pagan beliefs, and Constantine and his army of Francs represented Christianity. The opposing armies met at Adrianople on the third of July and eventually led to Constantine besieging the city of Byzantium with his ground troops and naval fleet. ... Vikings are commonly known as barbarians that raid villages and intimidate others with huge ships with dragon heads, and horned helmets. Not every Scandinavian was a Viking; Vikings were known as the men that conducted raids and bloody battles. The old definition of Viking was synonymous with the term pirate. The modern definition is relevant to the Scandinavian medieval culture, to include farming, crafting and trading. The people from the north, Norsemen, lived in villages and on dispersed farms in various regions. The Norwegian Vikings were from Iceland and Ireland. The Danish Vikings were from France and Britain. The Swedish Vikings were from Russia. Regardless of region, Vikings are addressed as one group of people. Written documentation from this era, sagas specify the region of Vikings being recorded. The Vikings government was unlike any other at that time. In fact, there was no emperor, king, or lord. The only sagas found about Viking law were written late in the 10th century in Iceland. • 36. The Consequences Of Drug Abuse And Addiction Drug abuse and addiction are controversial topics in modern society. In general, drug abuse leads to drug addiction. Drug abuse can be defined as the overuse of drugs along with the process of undergoing efforts to obtain drugs in an (usually) illegal manner, whereas drug addiction is the inability to live without said drug and engaging in any attempts necessary to obtain them. Addicted individuals engage in drug abuse. The two concepts tend to go together, ruining relationships by becoming the most important thing in the life of someone afflicted with this disease. Most people who find themselves addicted to drugs often seek treatment but end up procrastinating any options to do so and ultimately remain in this harmful cycle. To determine if an individual is abusing drugs, it is important to compare the person s previous behavior with their current behavior. This can be difficult as many addicts tend to distance themselves from their friends and families early on to the point where anyone close to them may not be able to notice a significant change. It could also be useful to track an individual s history at pharmacies to check for possible prescription drug abuse and at convenience stores to check for possible alcohol and cigarette purchases. In response to the question that: if meat could be produced humanely, without mistreating the animals prior to eating them painlessly, would there be anything wrong with it?
