ID, EGO, SUPEREGO Superego - Develops from the ego during early childhood, its goal is to apply moral values of parents, caregivers, and society. Ego - develops from the ID during infancy, its goal is to negotiate influences from the superego and the ID. ID - The first division of the mind to develop, it contains two biological drives- its goal is to pursue pleasure and satisfy the biological drives.
