The Radio Frequency Identification Device ( Rfid ) Essay
The Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) is a powerful technology for companies in the
logistics and supply chain management industry. According to Jakobs (2000), he states that the
RFID system use tiny tags with embedded microchips that contains data. This data contains the
location and information about the product/item and transfers the data to RFIDreaders through radio
signals.
The RFID system is my innovation solution to improving the technologies Hunzal currently use in
managing their logistics and supply chain. RFID was introduced as a radical innovation, with a
significant impact in the logistics and supply chain industry. Now RFID is seen as an incremental
innovation as large firms in the logistics and supply chain industry are constantly making minor
improvements on the RFID. (Wamba, 2013).
2.5 The process of RFID
The process of RFID is relatively simple and does not take a long period of time to become an
expert with this system. Basically the Radio Frequency Identification system has three parts (see
appendix 2):
1.Firstly, a RFID tag this piece holds data including an identification number. This data is manually
entered from the reader to help identify an item. The rest of the tag consists of an antenna that
transmits radio waves between the RFID readers.
2.Secoundly, a RFID reader, which is a transceiver with a decoder to interpret the data. Whenever
the sensor tag is activated on the reader, it will interrogate and decode the data on the

African Americans Attitudes Towards Police Essay
African Americans Attitudes towards Police
The George Washington University
Abstract
Past experiences have shown that African Americans tend to have a more hostile relationship with
police officers than other races. Research from multiple scholars confirms that there is in fact a
correlation between a person s race and the attitude they have towards officers. This experiment
aims to verify that race is responsible for this difference in attitude. A survey containing multiple
demographic questions and inquiries about attitudes and reactions to police officers was distributed
to my Research Methods class as well as my family and friends. The results of this ... Show more

By using data from the BJS Police Public Contact Survey, the researchers found that officer race
is an important factor in how Blacks and Latinos recognize officers (Cochran Warren, 2012).
They were more likely to trust minority police than white ones. Christopher Huggins looked into
citizen reports of police behavior during traffic stops in an effort to understand how officer and
citizen race can influence reports of impropriety. Through analyzing 6,301 citizen reports of
traffic encounters with police researchers discovered that African Americans are less likely than
whites to report proper police behavior when they encounter officers of any race (Huggins,
2012). Han Toch s book, Volatile Scenarios in the Ghetto (2012), discusses the findings of the
Kerner Commission, an 11 member committee made to investigate the causes of race riots in the
1960s, and what exactly these findings convey. According to Toch s book, the Kerner
Commission found that race riots took place in areas where a large number of police officers had
contact with the public (2012). The Commission mentioned that the targeting of blacks,
particularly black men, sparked resistance and hostility towards the officers (Toch, 2012). The
over aggression of some officers also led to a widespread distrust of police by the African
American community, which was a building block in a lot of race riots. In general the combination
of targeting and unnecessary

Post-Secondary Aerospace Engineer
Post Secondary Aerospace engineer
Job Description: Aerospace engineers jobs are designing, creating, testing, and the supervision of
the making of aircrafts, space crafts, and missiles. Some of the most advanced technologies today
are developed by people who work in this field. Aerospace engineers have developed, tested, and
created things like lightweight gliders, airplanes that weigh over half a million pounds,
communication satellites, and the international space station. Aeronautical engineers and
astronomical engineers are the two categories aerospace engineers are usually broken into.
Aeronautical engineers generally work with aircraft, while astronomical engineers generally work
with spacecraft. However, all aerospace engineers must have an understanding of include the field s
core subjects, such as aerodynamics, propulsion, thermodynamics, and guidance and control

Comparing Descartes And Skepticism
This essay will analyse the relation between Descartes ad scepticism and I will argue that he is
not a philosophical sceptic. Firstly, philosophical scepticism is questioning whether any knowledge
can be known with certainty. Descartes was doubtlessly sceptical of whether the things he knew
were certain or not, he wants to find a foundation of knowledge that is so certain that it can dismiss
the doubts of the strongest scepticism. He believes that we acquire most our knowledge through
our sense perception, however, he argues that our senses are not error proof and therefore he
doubts his entire foundation of knowledge. He further proves his argument by saying that when we
are dreaming we are not aware that this is not our reality so what is there to stop us from thinking
that the experiences we re having now are not reliable. Furthermore, he gives the example of things
we know through intellect such as Arithmetic and Geometry, and he poses this argument by... Show

He uses another argumentative device to disproof the credibility of the knowledge we acquire
through intellect of an all powerful demon that employs his whole energies in deceiving him.
Yet, he says that god is ultimately good, so He is not going to deceive human kind, but it is
possible that contrary to his goodness He did allow him to be deceived by this evil genius; coming
to the conclusion with this that he doubts having a body or any senses yet acknledging that he
falsely believes he does because of this evil genius. This is how he ends he first meditation; with
lack of certainty where the knowledge that is acquired by senses are doubted through his dream
argument while knowledge acquired through intellect are doubted by the demon argument. In his
second meditation, Descartes has come to find the one foundational belief that he is certain of and
that was that he was doubting, this

Designing A Product That Influences Through The Product...
Abstract
The paper aims at sensitizing designers towards the voices of every stakeholder involved in
designing a product that influences through the product life cycle, in a comprehensible way with
an objective to facilitate designer towards a better design. This paper discusses the basic purpose
and nature of design in the context of judging the aptness of a dialogue among the stakeholders
including product in itself. It also discusses the kind of outcome based on designers stand in the
design process which makes the conversation dialogical or arguing in nature. The paper proposes
Design Tree as a structure, for creating distinct platforms for dialogue to happen at all stages of
design evolution for design dialogue to be comprehensible.
Introduction
Louis I Kahn in his lecture was explaining the importance of honoring building material. The
designer is at a junction and he has to choose a path. He has to decide between economy and
honor of material. The decision, that designer takes, is case specific and depends on various other
factors as the case might be.
The decision of whether to go logical or intuitive is discussed by many authors and designers in
many ways, some supporting logical or rational views and others intuitive or art based. Kahn s
quote mentioned above emphasizes on intuitive decision (as an honor towards the material) over
logical way (which is the economy). Christopher Alexander in his book Notes on the Synthesis of
Form discusses whether design is

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Hot Melte Extrusion
In hot melt extrusion, materials are heated, melted and dispersed to be cooled. This process is not
suitable for thermolabile products, and the excipients should be miscible in the molten state [12].
Large size particles are produced by hot melt extrusion. Process parameters such as temperature,
pressure and mixing rate determines product properties like density, particle morphology, size and
size distribution. Table 2 lists the advantages and disadvantages of hot melt extrusion technique
[2,5].
The process typically consists of three phases (figure cxxx). First, feeding phase in which excipients
enters the heating chamber. Second, the excipients melts and a screw allows its mixing and transfer
into the extrusion station. Finally, Extrusion in which the extruder controls the shape and size of
the extrudate once is cooled down and cut [12,13].
Co milling is very efficient in dispersing and homogenizing excipients, it also reduced partiele size
in aqueous media. This technique ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The cooling rate has a direct effect on the co crystal s size, growth and shape. After co crystals
production, they are then filtered and washed to eliminate impurities. Finally, the crystals are dried,
milled and sieved to reduce their particle size [2].
Co crystallization involves two main steps: nucleation (the material starts its crystallization process
on a specific site) which can occur in labile zone that is a zone not optimal for crystal growth, and
second the crystal or co crystal growth. The solid crystals can be formed from liquid, melt or gas,
and are more stable than the individual initial materials and held together by non covalent forces.
Compared to the initial material, the co crystal has a different crystallinity, solubility and
mechanical properties

Stop and Frisk
My name is _________ and I am here to bring attention to the Stop and Frisk Laws and how they
affect our youth and damage our society. Also through this exchange of information I hope to show
how these type of laws go against our constitutional rights.
First let s ask what does Stop and frisk actually mean legally? It s the situation in which a police
officer who is suspicious of an individual detains the person and runs his hands lightly over the
suspect s outer garments to determine if the person is carrying a concealed weapon.
When and where did this derive from? Well In 1968 the Supreme Court addressed the issue in terry
v. Ohio, 392. In Terry an experienced plainclothes officer observed three men acting suspiciously;

I have had first hand experience of instances like this when I lived on the south side of Chicago
at age 16. I watched as the boys on my block age 11 and up would get stopped by the police while
standing on or around their own block even on their own porches. But what was more astonishing
then the random checks was how the boys were so use to it that they would not complain or make a
scene. They would put their hands behind their heads and let the police check them without
exchanging words from either of them.
But it is proclaimed that stopping people under what that particular officer thinks is reasonable
suspicion is effective and brings down crime rate, when there s no real evidence that it does make
up the majority of crime going down and even if it does. Ask yourself this; should billions of
citizens lose their rights, over a million deviants. We aren t the ones that should be looked at as
criminals because of what we might look like or where we live that s racial profiling and
discrimination.
On August 12th 2013; even the New York Judge Shira A. Scheindlin was against this act of
violation towards the citizens rights. In her own words she described the police to be Indirect
racial profiling since it increased the stops in minority communities. The judge found that the

While Psychology Theorists Vary Greatly On Their Theories
While psychology theorists vary greatly on their theories of personality, they all concur that
numerous elements go into the creation and development of personality. The elements used in the
creation and development of personality are: nature versus nature, the unconscious, view of self,
development, motivation and maturation. Each of these elements contributes to the understanding
of personality theory. To better understand the connection of these elements and the formation of
personality theory researchers have conducted cases studies, surveys, and laboratory observations in
order to observe the relationship between these elements and personality. Based upon the research
that has been conducted correlations and casualty can be formed... Show more content on

Foundations of Personality
Nature Versus NurtureThe argument of whether an individual s personality is defined by nature or
nurture is one of the oldest debates in psychology. On one hand, are biological theorists who use
research to support the importance of genetics on behavior (Zaky, 2015). On the other hand, are
theorists who support the theory of tabula rasa, which is the stance that we are born with blank
slates and acquire our personality from experiences (Zaky, 2015). An example of a biological
theorist is, Bowlby who viewed infant attachment as being an innate process for survival (Zaky,
2015). By contrast, behavioral theorist Bandura states that personality is developed based upon
social experiences Zaky, 2015). Of note in the debate between nature and nurture in personality
development is a study conducted by Dr. Fatima Kamran (2016) regarding perceived personality
differences between siblings by parents. This was a very important study in regards to nature versus
nurture, since both lines of thought would suggest that siblings that share genetics and home
environments would be similar to each other. In this study, parents of siblings with an age
difference of no more than five years, were studied to determine if they perceived differences in
their children s temperaments (Kamran, 2016). Despite behavioral genetic

Electronic Monitoring System For The Correctional Facilities
The concept of Electronic Monitoring offenders was first originated by Dr. Robert Schweitzgebel
in the 1960s when he while a Harvard University designed a trial product of an electronic
monitoring system. Even though Dr. Schweitzgebel made this invention in the 1960s; however, it
took many years to have the system been used by the departments of correction. At first, the intent
of Dr. Schweitzgebel was to allow the population of the correctional facilities to not be saturated
by many people at once and to rehabilitate those whose self esteem suffered from losing their
liberties and free will. The objectives of this system or alternative was intended to reduce the

Review of Literature:
This futuristic alternative to monitored perpetrators was first initiated in the State of Massachusetts
which in 2005 began using the full GPS bracelet (The Office of Commissioner of Probation, 2014).
Electronic monitoring provides the governments with an alternative to prevent the overcrowding of
correctional facilities within a country. At the same time it provides the governments with
additional ways to counter attack the ways the criminal justice system can deal with perpetrators
after court proceedings are completed. The idea is to work out a way to keep a given community
safely, but at the same time to give the perpetrators with an opportunity to be able to rehabilitate and
to better themselves and becoming a productive member of the community and their families.
The government states that electronic monitoring still is way inexpensive than housing a
perpetrator in a correctional facility. However, when the government takes into consideration all the
pieces involving the monitoring of a person within a jurisdiction and all the pieces needed to make
this happen then it can be quiet expensive monetarily and with safety concerns. Can the government

Corporate Social Responsibility And Access Of Finance
The article Corporate Social Responsibility and Access to Finance was written by Cheng et al.
(2014) in order to show that firms that have better CSR performance are less capital constrained.
The aim of the essay is to argue that the analysis of the relationship between CSR policies and the
access to financeis a well done research with interesting arguments and analysis; however, it has
several limitations, which will be examined. The aim will be achieved through a critical analysis
of the paper. It will be done in four stages: first, the key arguments of the article, second, the
strong points of the article, third, the limitations of the research, and final stage, the specifications
of the outcome. In this paper Cheng et al. (2014) argued that the implementation of successful
CSR policies leads to lower idiosyncratic risk due to improved stakeholder engagement, which
reduce agency costs of an organisation, and increased transparency, which results a company
becoming less capitally constrained and enhances a firm s access to finance in capital markets. In
order to achieve their aim the authors use cross sectional analysis of firms around the world and
apply different variables and methods. They concluded that there is a link between good CSR
activities and access to finance; however, social and environmental components of CSR are more
significant for investors than the factor of governance since the former ones have higher impact on
capital constraints. It can be

A down payment of $70,000 would be required, and a first year interest payment of $45,370
(Exhibit 9). It is expected that the two machines would run at 40% capacity bringing in incremental
revenue of $613,225, and incremental operating income of $234,855. The cost breakdown structure
and the incremental gains for the laser cutter and water cutter can be seen in Exhibit 10. The ROI
at 40% capacity is 33.80% (Exhibit 5), which is well above the banks lending rate. The payback
period at 40% capacity is the lowest of all options at 3 years (Exhibit 6). With a score of 30, this
option scored the highest against the decision criteria (Exhibit 7). This is largely due strongest cash
flow, highest ROI, and emphasis on maintaining a high quality product and excellent costumer
service.
Recommendations
Adamac should go ahead with the expansion plan to purchase a new laser cutter and water jet.
The two machines should be purchased as soon as possible. Together the two machines offer the
best incremental revenues, and have the shortest payback period, and highest ROI. The Down
payment of $70,000 will be taken from net earning last year, and a Loan for $630,000 amortized
over 4 years will be required. Adamac will no longer rely on outsourcing to competition allowing

Death On The Nile By Agatha Christie
Along with Agatha Christie s other famous works, Christie wrote the book Death on the Nile.
This book once again includes Mrs. Christie s most famous character, Hercule Poirot. At the
beginning of the book, Poirot is out to eat in London. Hercule notices a couple much in love,
Jacqueline de Bellefort and Simon Doyle. Jacqueline does not come from a very wealthy family.
The day after the couple was seen out on a date, Jacqueline takes Simon to meet her friend Linnet
Ridgeway, hoping that she will give Simon a job. Once after they had met, Simon left Jacquelin to
marry Linnet.
Poirot next sees Simon and his new wife while he himself is on holiday. The couple were on their
honeymoon in Egypt. While at a hotel in Cairo, Hercule sees the Doyles and Jacqueline meeting at
the hotel. After the couple s conversation with Jacqueline, Linnet comes to Poirot and and tells
him that Jacqueline has been stalking them ever since the wedding. Poirot tells Linnet that there is
nothing he can legally do to stop her. He, however, does try to talk with Jacqueline in private and
ask her to stop her evil ways. Jacqueline tells Poirot that she wants to kill Linnet. She then pulls out
a small pistol and show it to him.
The Doyle s try to elude Jacqueline s stalking by staying a longer time on their honeymoon. They
decide to go on a cruise on the Nile River along with Poirot. To the newlyweds dismay, Jacqueline
turns up on the same boat as the couple. Poirot also sees someone on the boat, an

Batman Origin
Although the Batman: Year one was released almost thirty years ago, it was one of the most
popular, best known origins in popular culture because of its true character and raw chain of
events: a young boy becomes scarred for life after he sees his family murdered in a dark alley by
a quarrelsome mugger simply by chance. After years of training to be the greatest crime fighter in
the world evolves the Batman, one of the greatest superheroes of all time and protector of Gotham
City. Although there was one clear provenance when the original graphic novel was released, after
two huge blockbuster movies, almost half a dozen animated series, a greatly popular video game,
and multiple other comic book interpretations, that origin has been morphed... Show more content

The mistake was not accounting for the impact first person narration had over placing the
characters and narrative action within their proper context in the original comic. This mistake is
vividly apparent in a scene where Batman is on one of his first adventures to fight crime in his
costume where he attacks three teenagers that are in the middle of robbing an apartment. The
scene does not have much action to it besides the rookie Batman almost throwing one of teens off
a fire escape then saving him and fighting off the other two accomplices. After Batman defeats
them and saves the other boy he lies on the ground for a bit and mentally scolds himself for being
a lucky amateur . The scene in the original comic is much more different as Wayne s emotions,
feelings, observations, the context of actions, and his pain are much more apparent. They are
portrayed through Wayne s first person narration which is where most of the visual and mental
content comes from in the scene, all of which is almost inexistent during the scene in the animated
version. Instead of slowly uncovering something else Batman was feeling during that scene
through his first person narration, all that was compressed and saved for when Wayne is on the
ground scolding himself. The original scene was filled with emotional and narrative context and
when compared to the brief scene from the movie, which still makes its point, the comic simply
blows the movie out of the

is a strategy for exploring and treating identity issue and is utilized as a part of psychotherapy.
Included in this hypothesis is the way to go that things that happen to individuals amid adolescence

methodology has prompted numerous insightful contemporaries and their theories that show an
evolution of Freud s psychoanalysis. This paper will show you some of the contemporaries and
their theories that were influenced by Freud. Some of these theories extend Freud s theory, and
some sort of disagree with his thinking. However, it is obvious that Freud made a mark on these
psychologists, and proved to be a big influence in the field of psychology.

situations, it is not feasible to use the same approach to communicate. This can be true with the
same employees even when discussing the same topic.
An article based on a presentation at the Association for Accounting Administration s Conference

Communication with staff and with your fellow owners is far more important than you may realize

its operations, and it is important to understand whom these groups are before exploring how they
communicate with one another (Baack, Ch 1. 2012).

Middle of the World, Territory of Complexity Essay
With current advancement involving technological, and biological warfare all over the earth, the
world can seem to resemble a ticking time bomb waiting to be detonated. All it would take is one
rogue nation to oppose a neighboring nation and provoke a terrible conflict, and other nations
would have to intervene. The conflict over territory is present in Israeland Palestine. This ancient
feud will apparently cause a world war if it is not solved, The Israeli Palestinian conflict can
overflow onto the rest of the surrounding nations, right into our very backyard, and it already
involves U.S. Government.

The Israelis are known to protect there neighborhoods from incoming rocket propelled grenades.
Israel does certainly have the right to defend itself from the heavy opposition. It is a volatile
situation when any nation can cause violence for having different beliefs. Nonetheless the
definition of one s rights varies from different countries. Israel is outnumbered, yet still manages to
survive, although, the threat is not gone. Many nations surrounding the Jewish State condemn the
close relationship between the United States and Israel because the United States has contributed
to the preservation of the Jewish nation. The Arab resistance yearns to take total dominion over
the west bank of Israel. Although Israel is a small nation by itself, people opposing Israel say that
the Israelis are nothing short of military bullies. Israel is known for their military might and success
in preserving there nation. Their defense program is state of the art and far above other surrounding
nations. Yet the potential of rogue nations containing nuclear capabilities are substantial. Some of
the Arabian fighters are not all radicalized but are angered victims of having family members
becoming casualties of war. Israel also while trying to defend itself, occasionally contribute to the
unfortunate casualty victims. Naturally they would oppose Israel for taking away their sons and

Science Teachers and Professors Should Not Teach Creationism
Where do we come from? How did this world, this universe originate? Questions that philosophers
probably first of all, and successively scientists, dogmatists, little children, and imaginably almost
the whole population of the Earth have at least once asked themselves and tried to answer,
sometimes with convincing or satisfactory results, but presumably more frequently with no
different outcome than numerous new interrogations. However, today we do have several answers,
different according to areas of the world, distinct cultures and various religions, and each individual
can choose what to believe; so the actual question, which remains unsolved, is the following: what
should public schools teach to their students? The answer to this query... Show more content on

America is not a theocracy; indeed, the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution grants the
freedom of religion and states that the clause against establishment of religion by law was intended
to erect a wall of separation between church and State (Establishment Clause). Since public schools
are in fact public institutions, related undeniably to the states, it would be illegal and
unconstitutional to have them not distinctly separated from any church. Different would be,
obviously, talking about private religious schools; those are in fact called independent schools or,
more commonly, nonstate schools which means, literally, not administered by any government,
local, state or national. According to the Council for American Private Education (CAPE), even if
the percentage of students attending Catholic schools has declined since 1995, it still reaches 12
%, which is an extremely high number; while among the top five reasons for parents to home
school their children with a 36 % agreement, as reported by the National Center for Education
Statistics appears a desire to provide religious instruction. This statement confirms that if parents do
want their sons and daughters to learn about religion in a scholastic context, the only way to achieve

You have just found out that you are pregnant, now you must take the second step. Being pregnant
involves both your body and mind. The first step you must do is go see a doctor. It is very
important that one must schedule an appointment because your doctor will provide you resources
for prenatal care. Prenatal care involves taking good measures to make sure the baby and the

Babies completely depend on the nutrient of the mother. Mothers need to be aware of the food, and
make sure that they are eating foods that has the nutrients the baby needs. Prenatal malnutrition can
cause serious damage to the central nervous system (Berk, 113) Researchers agree that the most
crucial time for nutrients is the third trimester. This is when the baby s brain increases the most.
Food is not just about the size, but is also about the amount of minerals and vitamins the food
contains.
When monitoring your food, make sure you acknowledge the foods to avoid during pregnancy.
When pregnant, avoid all type of alcohol and smoking. Alcohol has serous effect of the
development of the baby. The more alcohol a woman consumes during pregnancy, the poorer the
child s motor coordination, information processing, and intelligence and achievement test during
school years becomes (Berk, 2012, pg. 109). Other things to avoid while pregnant are raw meat,
shark, swordfish or marlin and unpasteurized dairy. (http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy and
baby/pages/foods to avoid pregnant.aspx). Pregnant women should also avoid certain types of
fishes because it has high mercury, which can harm the unborn baby s brain. It is also best to avoid
drinks with high amounts of caffeine. Higher than 100 milligram can cause low birth weight and

The Negative Impact Of Industrialization On European Society
Impacts of Industrialization
Industrialization is the system in which a country goes from a primarily agricultural state into one
based on the manufacturing of goods and services. Industrialization began its immense impact
during the 18th century in Europe, where it was first introduced. Rapid industrialization brought
plentiful jobs and new products and services, but also created problems that were harmful to the
people. With the rise of industrialization, the society was able to rise to its standard of living.
However, the expansion of cities and factories did not have such a great effect. Throughout the
1700s and 1800s in Europe, industrialization had a negative impact on European society because it
created horrible living conditions, the work force and surroundings were appalling, and it damaged
the environment.

As a Designer
I must say that I was a little less than enthralled about receiving a project, which required me to hunt
down and interrogate an established designer to the point of annoyance. After reading the circulated
example and seeing that, the author Chris Metcalf, started with the same viewpoint. I began to be
swayed to the same train of thought, which had enlightened Chris. A sudden and drastic change in
my thoughts leads me to see that this is, hopefully, my final year as a student designer. The final
year, in which I can ask the questions, delve into, what is commonly believed to be, general
knowledge within the design field.
Immediately I sought to find a designer whom I could interview. Making a list of who was in the

Or possibly it was the following sentence ( ...As designers we influence the way people interact
with our products... ) as this one sentence made me realise I am the quiet little voice that tells the
user to hold the product like this or tilt it that way or put the powder here. The intrinsic little
conscience of a product is my thoughts and aspirations for the product. These followed through
from my thoughts through my pencil into the final prototype and finally embedded in every one
of product units manufactured. The product may not be a direct extension of me but perhaps
more closely a child of personal progressions and growing pains as a designer. My thoughts on

Why Trust Is A Bond That Brings Humans
Hard to gain; easily lost. Trust is earned, not given. Trust is a bond that brings humans as closely
as love does. Trust could be a feeling, or a cause and effect type of thing. Of course, one cannot
say that trust is infinite. Because trust can be gained and lost, and is seen in the actions of us
humans as we live our lives. Some perceive trustas being put it in things such as, God, science,
doctors, parents, or even water treatment plant operators. Other people look at trust only within in a
relationship perspective, such as, being there for your mate. For example, trusting, supporting and
showing genuine care for one another. Trust would also be demonstrated through consistency in his
/her actions. For example, showing up for dates agreed upon time. Keeping private information
just between the two of you and always respecting boundaries. If you only look at trust from these
ways you limit trust. Trust covers nearly every aspect of our lives and displays who you are as
individuals. Trust should be earned not given, and some of the traits of trust are authenticity,
experience, confidence, honesty, and integrity.
Authenticity is a trait of trust. Being authentically trustworthy requires that you be honest in all
your dealings big and small. For example, a big way of being authentic in all your dealings is let s
say that you re married to your wife/husband and he/she is going to alcohol for relief from stress.

Without 100% deliverables on hand this could create a bullwhip in the supply chain. A bullwhip
effect is point to a lack of synchronization among supply chain members. This happens when
changes in sales ripples backward (e.g. bullwhip) because the supply patterns do not match the
demand patterns causing shortages and delays. The current supply chain used between Riordan
s China location and the local Chinese company is the responsive supply chain process. One of
the features of a responsive supply chain is that companies use a build to order and mass
customization process as a means to meet customer specification requirements. The local
Chinese company is a make to stock operation and future demands for fans are forecasted based
on previous three years sales. They use this method in hopes that previous sales history will

be beneficial for Riordan s China plant. Agile supply chain strategy is to be responsible and
flexible to customer needs. They are considered agile because they are responsive to change and
irregularity in demands of customers while reducing risk supply disorder on back end. The agile

The Sin Of Intellect Vs. The Sin Of Passion
The Sin of Intellect vs. The Sin of Passion Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote, The Scarlet Letter, an
American novel that follows the events of a young woman, Hester Prynne, who is living in 1640
s Boston, Massachusetts. Because she committed adultery she is punished by the puritanical town
she resides in by wearing a scarlet letter A on her chest forever. Throughout the novel, Hester s
husband, Roger Chillingworth, strives to discover the identity of the father who is the beloved
minister, Arthur Dimmesdale. Chillingworth s mission for discovery and revenge causes him to
commit the sin of intellect which affects the people surrounding him. Hester is constantly
emotionally distressed from Chillingworth s sin, but is rewarded from her sin of passion. The
physical and mental state of Dimmsdale is ruined by the sin of intelligence, but also partially by
the sin of passion. Not intentionally, Chillingworth s sin of intellect affects him the most by
changing him morally, physically, and mentally. The effects that the sin of intellect causes are far
worse in contrast to the sin of passion. Major changes in Hester s emotional state, Dimmesdale s
severe health reduction, and Chillingworth s drastic shift in character are reasons why the sin of
intellect overpowers sin of passion in the severity of the sin. To begin, Chillingworth s sin of
passion is constantly emotionally stressing for Hester, but the sin of passion leads to her ultimate
happiness. The greatest result of the sin of

Argumentative Essay On Bhagavad Gita
In the Hinduism Hit The Bhagavad Gita , Buddha Weighs Questions of The Truth
Could killing but not being emotionally attached solve a conflict? In The Bhagavad Gita, Krishna
encourages Arjuna to kill and not be attached. He says, If you are killed, you win heaven; if you
triumph, you enjoy the earth; therefore, Arjuna, stand up and resolved to fight the battle. The path
of my own teachings has three important instructions: moral precepts, no killing; mental
concentration, breath control meditation; and wisdom, the knowledge of knowing there is no self.
Instead of killing, we need to be merciful and kind to others. No man who does not love himself
could love others. Every creature has a life so we need to appreciate and respect them instead of
killing them.
For more than 100 pages, Krishna mainly talks about three types of yoga in The Bhagavad Gita:
jnana (knowledge) yoga, karma (action) yoga, and devotion yoga.
The soul can never be destroyed or changed. Krishna mentions that the soul and body mind are
different. The body dies and is reborn. The soul remains. I also believe in the universal soul
(purusha). My values, however, are slightly different. I realize that there are three types of
suffering: dukkha dukkha, viparinama dukkha, and samkhara dukkha. Dukkha dukkhua means
obvious physical or mental pain. Viparinama dukkha means losing something that is valuable to
you. Suffering can also be translated to satisfactoriness, instability, and uncertainty.

Analysis Of American Dance
My favorite dance was the contemporary routine with Derek, Jaja, and Alexia. The
choreographer, Stacey Tookey, explained that the piece was about bravery in different forms:
Derek played a veteran, Jaja was portraying a woman leaving an abusive relationship, and Alexia
took on the role of a single mother. I really enjoyed the dancebecause of the story it was trying to
convey; each dancer dove into character and brought out complex emotions through their
movements. The dancers connected deeply with each of their stories, even though they were
completely different people. They were portraying things that they had never personally

I believe that the routine was not well put together. A necessary component in the piece was an
overly cocky, in your face attitude. The piece was set to Whuteva by Remy Ma, which reflects
this attitude. The dancers however, did not deliver. They weren t exuding the confidence that
the piece demanded from them and because of this, the music overshadowed the performers. I
also disliked this piece because of the costumes. Keeping in mind that this piece was supposed to
have a loud, aggressive vibe to it, the costumes did not really portray that for me. Instead, they
were sloppy and distracting. They also got in the way of some of the steps, such as when the
dancers had to put their arms up in the air; their hoodies were flying all over the place. At some
points in the piece, some of the dancers visibly push up their sleeves or adjust their clothing. The
costumes did not elevate the performance, they were a poor choice and detracted from the

Vitamin C Structure
Vitamin C is an organic compound that is also known as ascorbic acid. The molecular formula for
Vitamin C is C6O8H6. This structure contains a 5 membered ring. Vitamin C contains 4 alcohol
functional groups, an alkene, and an ester. Within the ring it contains one double bond, the
carbon=carbon bond in the ring structure, this is an alkene functional group. The Vitamin C
structure also contains an ester which helps form the five membered ring.
Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin and a polar molecule because it contains other polar molecules
and very little hydrocarbons. The polar groups in the Vitamin C are the four alcohol functional
groups which contain oxygen and the ester functional group that also contains oxygen. The alkene
functional group in the ring structure contains carbon=carbon bonds which is a non polar molecule.
Since there is very little hydrocarbons present in the Vitamin C structure compared to the polar
molecules within the structure, this means it is a polar molecule overall.
Fat soluble vitamins and water soluble are the two groups of vitamins. Vitamin C is a water
soluble vitamin. Vitamin C is a polar molecule which means that it is only soluble in other polar
solvents but are insoluble in non polar solvents. Vitamin C is soluble in water because water is
also a polar solvent hence why Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin because Vitamin C is insoluble
in fat because fat is non polar.

The Historical Enlightenment, By John Locke, Voltaire And...
The historical Enlightenment saw the emergence of a zeitgeist of thinking that used science and
reason to understand the world. Philosophes such as RenГЁ Decarte, John Locke, Voltaire and
Denis Diderot began questioning the core foundations of feudalism as everything around them
became questionable. The intention of the historical Enlightenment was to encourage people to
begin thinking for themselves and to seek knowledge, yet in order to acquire the ability for
knowing, thinking and reasoning, education was required. Diderot, who authorised himself as a
propagandist for a rational and secular view of the world, asserted that education in the sciences and

Furthermore conservatives believe that changes are to be organic, rather than revolutionary, as any
attempt to modify the complex structures that form society runs the risk of a dramatic unfolding of
unintended consequences. These beliefs can be linked in explaining the unforeseen repercussions
of regarding science and rationality as omnipotent. Conservatives argue that through the subjection
to a utopian ideal of a rational society, humanity has in fact been enslaved rather than liberated. The
endeavor to replace arbitrary monarchial power by rule of reason is limited, as it has
metamorphosed from an instrument against oppression to a mechanism for oppression. The
promise of scientific rationality had consequently become destructive and the individual freedom

Professionalism, Integrity, Honesty, And Professionalism
Introduction/Purpose/Objective Professionalism in nursing provides an important framework for
the continual development and advancement in the nursing profession. As healthcare providers,
nurses are held to high standards of practice for providing safe, effective, evidence based care to
clients. As the healthcare system continuously advances, the level of professionalism becomes
crucially imperative to nurses and other professionals. Throughout the years nursing has
continuously been regarded as one of the most trusted professions. As a result of this significant
rating, it s important for nurses to maintain integrity and honesty while upholding the core values of
their respective institutions to provide safe and effective patient centered care (Olshansky, 2011, p.

integrity, honesty and compassion into their respective field of practice. When nurses exhibit a
sense of openness and trust into their patient care, clients can have a sense of assurance that they

considering specific policies, practices, and other circumstances. Also, employers are not allowed to
conduct surveillance of employees who are engaged in protected concerted activities, including
those of union organizers. In this case, the liability for invasion of privacy would lie with the school
principal rather than the school district. The plaintiffs claim was supported by the Fourth
Amendment in that sufficient evidence was provided to prove that the employees have an
expectation of privacy in their locker room and office, and from the students and other staff
members to change clothing or complete office work without interruptions. It is recommended that
if your organization uses video monitoring, to inform employees that they are subject to monitoring
and surveillance, even though such notice may not be legally required. All things considered,
employers and others are prohibited from intentionally intercepting wire, oral, or electronic
communications, which can be in the form of electronic,

Freedom In Colonial America
For many immigrants who emigrated from Europe, the New World was an opportunity to
escape the oppressive reign of monarchs and the papacy for a better life, and a way to
experience what they believed to be true freedom. Although, not everyone expressed, or
experience freedom in the same way. For men, and those who were not indentured servants, were
provided more opportunities in the European colonies than they did at home, for the colonists,
freedom meant owning land. Some people such as, Johannes Hänner, didn t even require land to
feel free in the New World, it was simply a matter of being able to live comfortably with family
and friends. However, this positive outlook was not widely shared among all colonists, in Virginia
for example, while

Evaluation Of The Doctor Patient Relationship
A patient entrusts a level of responsibility to his or her primary doctor when seeking treatment. In
order for the doctor to diagnose and treat any ailments he discovers, a voluntary power dynamic
must be formed between the doctor and the patient. Through this power contract, the patient
consents to any prescriptions, treatments, or diagnostic procedures that the doctor orders, and in
return the primary physicianis expected to give the optimal level of care. An analysis of the doctor
patient relationshipshows that the doctor holds the majority of power in the dynamic through the
combined means of force and solidarity while the patient can counteract this majority through
money and setting the agenda. The doctor patient relationship can first be explained through Steven
Lukes s three dimensions of power. The first dimensionis the most clearly in favor for the doctor,
involving a focus on behavior in making of decisions on issues over which there is an observable
conflict of interest (Alexander 2012:559). This is seen when the doctor is given the responsibility
of diagnosing the patient, for the patient cannot objectively diagnose himself. The patient gives the
doctor the power to determine what illness is affecting him and to prescribe treatments for this
illness.
The third dimension of power comes as a supplement to the first dimension. Jeffrey Alexander
describes Lukes s third dimension of power as hidden social powers [that] ensure that a particular

The Formation Of A Corporation
Abstract
The formation of a business is generally influenced by motive or strategy that best suits the
business owners. There are four types of business entities that exist and each having different tax
implications. These entities include sole proprietorships, C Corporations (C Corps), S
Corporations (S Corps), and Partnerships. This paper will focus on the advantages and
disadvantages of C Corporations and S Corps and deciding which one makes more sense than the
other.
Formation of a Corporation
A corporation is formed under the laws of the state in which the corporation is registered
(SBA.gov). Corporations can either be a C Corp or an S Corp; in which both have owner
shareholders. Forming a corporation requires establishing and registering your business with
your state government and filing documents named Articles of Incorporation. These documents
are filed with your Secretary of State in order to provide information to the state about your
business and are also made available to the public (SBA.gov). Generally, corporations provide
limited liability for all owners (Sumutka, 2009). A C Corporations is an independent legal entity
that is owned by one or more shareholders and governed by subchapter C of the Internal Revenue
Code. C Corps, not shareholders, are held liable for any actions or debt incurred (SBA.gov).
Shareholders exchange money, property or both for stock in the C Corp. A C Corp is recognized as
a separate entity for federal income tax purposes and is

Freedom Of Speech About New York City
From the time one sets foot in New York City everything feels different, the atmosphere, the
people, and the scenery. New York is a whole other world set apart from the real world. It is seen
as the place to be in order to conquer dreams. It is the epitome of the American dream and what
America stands for as a country. It is the place where one goes to make it big. It is a symbol of
freedom, history, and entertainment. While I was in New York I gained an insight into just how
free and beautiful our country really is. It truly changes a person and their appreciation for society.
Americans often take freedom for granted. In this country, we have the freedom of speech,
freedom of religion and freedom of the press, just to name a few. In some

The Story Of Sara
SARA LAYS ON THE FLOOR, weeping silently as tears are escaping from her tear ducts and
flowing steadily down her sunken cheeks. The heated voices of Lieutenant Colet and his men,
arguing outside her front door are wafting from one end of her home to another. She tilts her head
to the side, straining her eyes to see them. Her emotional painhas taken control of her body.
The feeling of loss was nothing new to Sara. It was an indescribable feeling that can leave the
beholder, cripple emotionally in a state of unimaginable pain. She felt a similar pain like this
before that nearly shattered her being, after losing her husband Marcus s father, seven years earlier.
She was bout to give in and allow her pain to consume her, but something ... Show more content on

A man in his late sixties with silver hair as long as his unkempt beard, wearing a white fur coat,
climbed from a dark hole beneath it to the surface. He kneels down at her side, feeling for signs of
life while taking in Sara s grim appearance: no emotion registers on his brutish face when feeling
her heartbeats, fading fast. Who are you? a Kingsman larger than him, appears in the doorway. He
had heard the sounds and return to investigate.
Where s the boy? the man questions in a commanding tone, rising to a stand, stepping over Sara.
Where s Marcus? Tell me, what your lieutenant has done with him?
The Kingsman reaches over his shoulder, unsheathing a double sided axe that shone in the
moonlight.
The unarmed man did not seem impressed nor frightened by his hostile gesture. I am not your
enemy. But if you wish to make me one, then you shall feel my wrath, he threatens with his brown
eyes switching to maroon.
The Kingsman lunges forward, swinging his double sided axe through the air, aiming for the man
s head. The man instantaneously sandwiches one of its blades in between his thick hands. He then
forcefully yanks the axe from the Kingsman s clutches, tossing the deadly weapon to the side, and
begins pulverizing the Kingsman to the floor with his stone, hard fists. He subdues the Kingsman.
The melee was quickly over before it started. He rises to a stand and stomp on the Kingsman s

Owning Exotic Pets Research Paper
Currently, in the pet market, a very prominent issue is present. Should private citizens be legally
allowed to own exotic pets? Owning exotic pets is dangerous, expensive, and cruel. The average
human should not be allowed to own exotic pets. In the first place, owning an exotic pet can be a
risk to your safety. The size of the animal does not determine how dangerous it is. In the article
Do You Really Want A Baby Tiger? the author Mia Lewis states It s not just big cats, poisonous
snakes and chimpanzees that can be harmful even smaller exotic pets can cause serious injuries.
How dangerous exotic pets can be is just another reason why they should not be owned by private
citizens.
Along with being dangerous, exotic pets are also very expensive. Buying exotic pets is costly
enough, but they also require a great deal of money to maintain. A strong, large, sturdy habitat
must be built for the animal along with buying large amounts of food. On page 7, paragraph 3,
Lewis states If keeping a dog can be time consuming and costly, that s nothing compared to a adult
lion or chimpanzee. Aside from the cost of keeping a exotic pet, they need lots of of time and
frequent attention that most people simply don t have. Exotic pets being ... Show more content on

The average civilian does not have the time or resources required to humanely keep a exotic pet.
Although most exotic animals are bought and sold while they are young eventually they will
mature and become very large. Many people end up releasing their exotic animals when they
become full grown because they become incapable of caring for the animal. If the animals are kept,
they are often kept in cruel cages where they are neglected. Mia Lewis states In this environment
they have no opportunity to practice most of their natural behaviors. (pg 7 p 3). Exotic animals are
not able to freely hunt and breed when kept in cages. The ownership of exotic animals is very

Ethical Predestination
If God does elect and reserves a spot for those who get to receive salvation or condemnation
before time, then there is no such thing as free will amongst human beings. There is no free will
because God already chose who gets what, so there is no point in worshipping a God that might
condemn you. The primary source of this essay is Institutes of the Christian Religion, Book 3,
Chapters, 21 23 by Jean Calvin. In this essay I am going to prove that predestinationis not an
ethically acceptable doctrine to justify Gods actions. If there is a God, he is usually identified as a
powerful, all knowing, and never wrong entity that watches over all of humanity. God created
every living thing on Earth. So, God supposedly loves and cares for... Show more content on

All the efforts put into donating money, blood, clothes and etc... is of no use because a dead
person does not need any of those materialistic goods. God already chose who gets salvation and
condemnation. Redemption is only done by a person who wants to feel that they have done
good deeds for God to see and God will reward them with salvation. Just like how human always
wants to be rewarded for all the works they do. For example, a child does good deeds around the
house in the form of chores set out by their parents. After finishing said chores, a child is
rewarded. The parents can reward the child in the form of a praise, in the form of money, or in the
form of a toy. All humans care is rewards received after every work

The Radio Frequency Identification Device ( Rfid ) Essay The Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) is a powerful technology for companies in the logistics and supply chain management industry. According to Jakobs (2000), he states that the RFID system use tiny tags with embedded microchips that contains data. This data contains the location and information about the product/item and transfers the data to RFIDreaders through radio signals. The RFID system is my innovation solution to improving the technologies Hunzal currently use in managing their logistics and supply chain. RFID was introduced as a radical innovation, with a significant impact in the logistics and supply chain industry. Now RFID is seen as an incremental innovation as large firms in the logistics and supply chain industry are constantly making minor improvements on the RFID. (Wamba, 2013). 2.5 The process of RFID The process of RFID is relatively simple and does not take a long period of time to become an expert with this system. Basically the Radio Frequency Identification system has three parts (see appendix 2): 1.Firstly, a RFID tag this piece holds data including an identification number. This data is manually entered from the reader to help identify an item. The rest of the tag consists of an antenna that transmits radio waves between the RFID readers. 2.Secoundly, a RFID reader, which is a transceiver with a decoder to interpret the data. Whenever the sensor tag is activated on the reader, it will interrogate and decode the data on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

African Americans Attitudes Towards Police Essay African Americans Attitudes towards Police The George Washington University Abstract Past experiences have shown that African Americans tend to have a more hostile relationship with police officers than other races. Research from multiple scholars confirms that there is in fact a correlation between a person s race and the attitude they have towards officers. By using data from the BJS Police Public Contact Survey, the researchers found that officer race is an important factor in how Blacks and Latinos recognize officers (Cochran Warren, 2012). Christopher Huggins looked into citizen reports of police behavior during traffic stops in an effort to understand how officer and citizen race can influence reports of impropriety. Through analyzing 6,301 citizen reports of traffic encounters with police researchers discovered that African Americans are less likely than whites to report proper police behavior when they encounter officers of any race (Huggins, 2012). Han Toch s book, Volatile Scenarios in the Ghetto (2012), discusses the findings of the Kerner Commission, an 11 member committee made to investigate the causes of race riots in the 1960s, and what exactly these findings convey. According to Toch s book, the Kerner Commission found that race riots took place in areas where a large number of police officers had contact with the public (2012). The Commission mentioned that the targeting of blacks, particularly black men, sparked resistance and hostility towards the officers (Toch, 2012). The over aggression of some officers also led to a widespread distrust of police by the African American community, which was a building block in a lot of race riots. • 7. Comparing Descartes And Skepticism This essay will analyse the relation between Descartes ad scepticism and I will argue that he is not a philosophical sceptic. Firstly, philosophical scepticism is questioning whether any knowledge can be known with certainty. Descartes was doubtlessly sceptical of whether the things he knew were certain or not, he wants to find a foundation of knowledge that is so certain that it can dismiss the doubts of the strongest scepticism. He believes that we acquire most our knowledge through our sense perception, however, he argues that our senses are not error proof and therefore he doubts his entire foundation of knowledge. He further proves his argument by saying that when we are dreaming we are not aware that this is not our reality so what is there to stop us from thinking that the experiences we re having now are not reliable. Furthermore, he gives the example of things we know through intellect such as Arithmetic and Geometry, and he poses this argument by... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 10. Designing A Product That Influences Through The Product... Abstract The paper aims at sensitizing designers towards the voices of every stakeholder involved in designing a product that influences through the product life cycle, in a comprehensible way with an objective to facilitate designer towards a better design. This paper discusses the basic purpose and nature of design in the context of judging the aptness of a dialogue among the stakeholders including product in itself. It also discusses the kind of outcome based on designers stand in the design process which makes the conversation dialogical or arguing in nature. The paper proposes Design Tree as a structure, for creating distinct platforms for dialogue to happen at all stages of design evolution for design dialogue to be comprehensible. Introduction Louis I Kahn in his lecture was explaining the importance of honoring building material. The designer is at a junction and he has to choose a path. He has to decide between economy and honor of material. The decision, that designer takes, is case specific and depends on various other factors as the case might be. The decision of whether to go logical or intuitive is discussed by many authors and designers in many ways, some supporting logical or rational views and others intuitive or art based. Kahn s quote mentioned above emphasizes on intuitive decision (as an honor towards the material) over logical way (which is the economy). • 11. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Hot Melte Extrusion In hot melt extrusion, materials are heated, melted and dispersed to be cooled. This process is not suitable for thermolabile products, and the excipients should be miscible in the molten state [12]. Large size particles are produced by hot melt extrusion. Process parameters such as temperature, pressure and mixing rate determines product properties like density, particle morphology, size and size distribution. Table 2 lists the advantages and disadvantages of hot melt extrusion technique [2,5]. The process typically consists of three phases (figure cxxx). First, feeding phase in which excipients enters the heating chamber. Second, the excipients melts and a screw allows its mixing and transfer into the extrusion station. Finally, Extrusion in which the extruder controls the shape and size of the extrudate once is cooled down and cut [12,13]. Also through this exchange of information I hope to show how these type of laws go against our constitutional rights. First let s ask what does Stop and frisk actually mean legally? It s the situation in which a police officer who is suspicious of an individual detains the person and runs his hands lightly over the suspect s outer garments to determine if the person is carrying a concealed weapon. When and where did this derive from? Well In 1968 the Supreme Court addressed the issue in terry v. Ohio, 392. I have had first hand experience of instances like this when I lived on the south side of Chicago at age 16. I watched as the boys on my block age 11 and up would get stopped by the police while standing on or around their own block even on their own porches. But what was more astonishing then the random checks was how the boys were so use to it that they would not complain or make a scene. They would put their hands behind their heads and let the police check them without exchanging words from either of them. But it is proclaimed that stopping people under what that particular officer thinks is reasonable suspicion is effective and brings down crime rate, when there s no real evidence that it does make up the majority of crime going down and even if it does. Ask yourself this; should billions of citizens lose their rights, over a million deviants. We aren t the ones that should be looked at as criminals because of what we might look like or where we live that s racial profiling and discrimination. On August 12th 2013; even the New York Judge Shira A. Scheindlin was against this act of violation towards the citizens rights. The elements used in the creation and development of personality are: nature versus nature, the unconscious, view of self, development, motivation and maturation. Each of these elements contributes to the understanding of personality theory. Foundations of Personality Nature Versus NurtureThe argument of whether an individual s personality is defined by nature or nurture is one of the oldest debates in psychology. On one hand, are biological theorists who use research to support the importance of genetics on behavior (Zaky, 2015). On the other hand, are theorists who support the theory of tabula rasa, which is the stance that we are born with blank slates and acquire our personality from experiences (Zaky, 2015). An example of a biological theorist is, Bowlby who viewed infant attachment as being an innate process for survival (Zaky, 2015). By contrast, behavioral theorist Bandura states that personality is developed based upon social experiences Zaky, 2015). Of note in the debate between nature and nurture in personality development is a study conducted by Dr. Fatima Kamran (2016) regarding perceived personality differences between siblings by parents. This was a very important study in regards to nature versus nurture, since both lines of thought would suggest that siblings that share genetics and home environments would be similar to each other. In this study, parents of siblings with an age difference of no more than five years, were studied to determine if they perceived differences in their children s temperaments (Kamran, 2016). Review of Literature: This futuristic alternative to monitored perpetrators was first initiated in the State of Massachusetts which in 2005 began using the full GPS bracelet (The Office of Commissioner of Probation, 2014). Electronic monitoring provides the governments with an alternative to prevent the overcrowding of correctional facilities within a country. At the same time it provides the governments with additional ways to counter attack the ways the criminal justice system can deal with perpetrators after court proceedings are completed. The idea is to work out a way to keep a given community safely, but at the same time to give the perpetrators with an opportunity to be able to rehabilitate and to better themselves and becoming a productive member of the community and their families. The government states that electronic monitoring still is way inexpensive than housing a perpetrator in a correctional facility. (2014) in order to show that firms that have better CSR performance are less capital constrained. The aim of the essay is to argue that the analysis of the relationship between CSR policies and the access to financeis a well done research with interesting arguments and analysis; however, it has several limitations, which will be examined. The aim will be achieved through a critical analysis of the paper. It will be done in four stages: first, the key arguments of the article, second, the strong points of the article, third, the limitations of the research, and final stage, the specifications of the outcome. In this paper Cheng et al. (2014) argued that the implementation of successful CSR policies leads to lower idiosyncratic risk due to improved stakeholder engagement, which reduce agency costs of an organisation, and increased transparency, which results a company becoming less capitally constrained and enhances a firm s access to finance in capital markets. In order to achieve their aim the authors use cross sectional analysis of firms around the world and apply different variables and methods. They concluded that there is a link between good CSR activities and access to finance; however, social and environmental components of CSR are more significant for investors than the factor of governance since the former ones have higher impact on capital constraints. The scene does not have much action to it besides the rookie Batman almost throwing one of teens off a fire escape then saving him and fighting off the other two accomplices. Questions that philosophers probably first of all, and successively scientists, dogmatists, little children, and imaginably almost the whole population of the Earth have at least once asked themselves and tried to answer, sometimes with convincing or satisfactory results, but presumably more frequently with no different outcome than numerous new interrogations. However, today we do have several answers, different according to areas of the world, distinct cultures and various religions, and each individual can choose what to believe; so the actual question, which remains unsolved, is the following: what should public schools teach to their students? The answer to this query... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... America is not a theocracy; indeed, the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution grants the freedom of religion and states that the clause against establishment of religion by law was intended to erect a wall of separation between church and State (Establishment Clause). Since public schools are in fact public institutions, related undeniably to the states, it would be illegal and unconstitutional to have them not distinctly separated from any church. Different would be, obviously, talking about private religious schools; those are in fact called independent schools or, more commonly, nonstate schools which means, literally, not administered by any government, local, state or national. According to the Council for American Private Education (CAPE), even if the percentage of students attending Catholic schools has declined since 1995, it still reaches 12 %, which is an extremely high number; while among the top five reasons for parents to home school their children with a 36 % agreement, as reported by the National Center for Education Statistics appears a desire to provide religious instruction. Trust could be a feeling, or a cause and effect type of thing. Of course, one cannot say that trust is infinite. Because trust can be gained and lost, and is seen in the actions of us humans as we live our lives. Some perceive trustas being put it in things such as, God, science, doctors, parents, or even water treatment plant operators. Other people look at trust only within in a relationship perspective, such as, being there for your mate. For example, trusting, supporting and showing genuine care for one another. Trust would also be demonstrated through consistency in his /her actions. For example, showing up for dates agreed upon time. Keeping private information just between the two of you and always respecting boundaries. If you only look at trust from these ways you limit trust. Trust covers nearly every aspect of our lives and displays who you are as individuals. Trust should be earned not given, and some of the traits of trust are authenticity, experience, confidence, honesty, and integrity. Authenticity is a trait of trust. Being authentically trustworthy requires that you be honest in all your dealings big and small. In The Bhagavad Gita, Krishna encourages Arjuna to kill and not be attached. The path of my own teachings has three important instructions: moral precepts, no killing; mental concentration, breath control meditation; and wisdom, the knowledge of knowing there is no self. Instead of killing, we need to be merciful and kind to others. No man who does not love himself could love others. Every creature has a life so we need to appreciate and respect them instead of killing them. For more than 100 pages, Krishna mainly talks about three types of yoga in The Bhagavad Gita: jnana (knowledge) yoga, karma (action) yoga, and devotion yoga. The soul can never be destroyed or changed. Krishna mentions that the soul and body mind are different. The body dies and is reborn. The soul remains. I also believe in the universal soul (purusha). My values, however, are slightly different. I realize that there are three types of suffering: dukkha dukkha, viparinama dukkha, and samkhara dukkha. First of all, this can be done without significant legal concern, at least when placed in areas open to view. Both public and private employees may seek to assert an expectation of privacy, though constitutional protections apply to public, but not private employees. The reasonable expectation of privacyis determined on a case by case basis considering specific policies, practices, and other circumstances. Also, employers are not allowed to conduct surveillance of employees who are engaged in protected concerted activities, including those of union organizers. In this case, the liability for invasion of privacy would lie with the school principal rather than the school district. The plaintiffs claim was supported by the Fourth Amendment in that sufficient evidence was provided to prove that the employees have an expectation of privacy in their locker room and office, and from the students and other staff members to change clothing or complete office work without interruptions. It is recommended that if your organization uses video monitoring, to inform employees that they are subject to monitoring and surveillance, even though such notice may not be legally required. An analysis of the doctor patient relationshipshows that the doctor holds the majority of power in the dynamic through the combined means of force and solidarity while the patient can counteract this majority through money and setting the agenda. The first dimensionis the most clearly in favor for the doctor, involving a focus on behavior in making of decisions on issues over which there is an observable conflict of interest (Alexander 2012:559). This is seen when the doctor is given the responsibility of diagnosing the patient, for the patient cannot objectively diagnose himself. The patient gives the doctor the power to determine what illness is affecting him and to prescribe treatments for this illness. The third dimension of power comes as a supplement to the first dimension. • 46. The Formation Of A Corporation Abstract The formation of a business is generally influenced by motive or strategy that best suits the business owners. There are four types of business entities that exist and each having different tax implications. These entities include sole proprietorships, C Corporations (C Corps), S Corporations (S Corps), and Partnerships. This paper will focus on the advantages and disadvantages of C Corporations and S Corps and deciding which one makes more sense than the other. Corporations can either be a C Corp or an S Corp; in which both have owner shareholders. Forming a corporation requires establishing and registering your business with your state government and filing documents named Articles of Incorporation. These documents are filed with your Secretary of State in order to provide information to the state about your business and are also made available to the public (SBA.gov). Generally, corporations provide limited liability for all owners (Sumutka, 2009). A C Corporations is an independent legal entity that is owned by one or more shareholders and governed by subchapter C of the Internal Revenue Code. He kneels down at her side, feeling for signs of life while taking in Sara s grim appearance: no emotion registers on his brutish face when feeling her heartbeats, fading fast. Who are you? a Kingsman larger than him, appears in the doorway. He had heard the sounds and return to investigate. Where s the boy? the man questions in a commanding tone, rising to a stand, stepping over Sara. Where s Marcus? Tell me, what your lieutenant has done with him? The Kingsman reaches over his shoulder, unsheathing a double sided axe that shone in the moonlight. The unarmed man did not seem impressed nor frightened by his hostile gesture. I am not your enemy. But if you wish to make me one, then you shall feel my wrath, he threatens with his brown eyes switching to maroon. The Kingsman lunges forward, swinging his double sided axe through the air, aiming for the man s head. The man instantaneously sandwiches one of its blades in between his thick hands. • 49. Owning Exotic Pets Research Paper Currently, in the pet market, a very prominent issue is present. Should private citizens be legally allowed to own exotic pets? Owning exotic pets is dangerous, expensive, and cruel. The average human should not be allowed to own exotic pets. In the first place, owning an exotic pet can be a risk to your safety. The size of the animal does not determine how dangerous it is. In the article Do You Really Want A Baby Tiger? the author Mia Lewis states It s not just big cats, poisonous snakes and chimpanzees that can be harmful even smaller exotic pets can cause serious injuries. How dangerous exotic pets can be is just another reason why they should not be owned by private citizens. Along with being dangerous, exotic pets are also very expensive. Buying exotic pets is costly enough, but they also require a great deal of money to maintain. A strong, large, sturdy habitat must be built for the animal along with buying large amounts of food. On page 7, paragraph 3, Lewis states If keeping a dog can be time consuming and costly, that s nothing compared to a adult lion or chimpanzee. Aside from the cost of keeping a exotic pet, they need lots of of time and frequent attention that most people simply don t have. Exotic pets being ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 50. Ethical Predestination If God does elect and reserves a spot for those who get to receive salvation or condemnation before time, then there is no such thing as free will amongst human beings. There is no free will because God already chose who gets what, so there is no point in worshipping a God that might condemn you. The primary source of this essay is Institutes of the Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapters, 21 23 by Jean Calvin. In this essay I am going to prove that predestinationis not an ethically acceptable doctrine to justify Gods actions. If there is a God, he is usually identified as a powerful, all knowing, and never wrong entity that watches over all of humanity. God created every living thing on Earth. So, God supposedly loves and cares for... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Just like how human always wants to be rewarded for all the works they do. For example, a child does good deeds around the house in the form of chores set out by their parents. After finishing said chores, a child is rewarded. The parents can reward the child in the form of a praise, in the form of money, or in the form of a toy.
