The RE-AIM framework was developed to evaluate the public health impact of interventions beyond just efficacy. It consists of 5 dimensions: Reach, Efficacy, Adoption, Implementation, and Maintenance. These dimensions measure the individual and setting-level outcomes of an intervention to better understand its real-world impact and sustainability over time. While all dimensions are important, they may be weighted differently depending on the evaluation. The framework is used in planning, monitoring, and reporting the results of interventions and has applications outside of just public health evaluations.
