Changes And Continuities Of The Zhou Dynasty
CCOT#2 In the period 1046B.C 256B.C the Zhou Dynasy ruled. Next, during 221B.C 206B.C, the
Qin Dynasty ruled. Finally from 400 years to 220C.E, the Han Dynaty ruled. Throughout all these

During the Zhou Dynasty, there were mant developments, and how and why those develpoments

Some developments were that supporters supported a central governmentwith tax revenues amd

The Greek Gods And Goddesses
Many greek gods and goddesses possess paradoxical characteristics. This makes some of them
hypocritical and others well rounded. Artemis shows her versatility through her two sided role as an
influential women in society and her opposite qualities apparent during acts of mass destruction.
Artemis was born to Zeus, God of lighting, and titan Leto along with her twin brother Apollo
(Hamilton 31). Right as Leto was about to give birth, she was prohibited by Hera, Zeus s jealous
primary suitor, from having the children where the sun could reach her. To avoid upsetting Hera, Zeus
took Leto to a floating island shielded from the sun by a wave. Leto had the babies there because
technically she was not on any ground where the sun was showing (Wickersham 1:60). Artemis is the
huntress of the gods. She maintains adolescence s safety and values virginity highly. She is also called
Diana in Roman Mythology (Wickersham 1:59). The cypress is her holy tree and deer are especially
holy to her in addition to her passion for all wild creatures (Hamilton 32). She is characterized as
...lover of the woods and the wild chase over the mountains, (Hamilton 31). Artemis was a strong
female from the beginning. She and her brother, Apollo, were brought to Olympus by Zeus because of
their amazing beauty. On their third birthday, when he pulled them up to the heavens, he asked
Artemis what gifts she would like. She knew exactly what she wanted and promptly explained her six
requests. First she

The Battle Of The Marine Corps Community Service Website...
When it comes to intervening in a dangerous situation, most people are too afraid to stand up for what
is right. There are some clear steps as to how to intervene in a dangerous situation such as sexual
assault. According to the Marine Corps Community Service website article,( Master The Three D s To
Bystander Intervention ) Bystander intervention is one of the most effective ways to prevent sexual
assault. There are 3 D s that help an individual intervene in a dangerous situation. According to the
article, the three D s are To delegate, direct, and to distract.
The first step in intervening or preventing a dangerous situations is to delegate. For example, if
someone has too much to drink, let a bartender or another party goer know that a person has had too
much to drink and that they need to make sure no one takes advantage of them. By delegated you are
making sure that the intoxicated individual is taken care of by one person or more. When you have
more than one person checking in on an individual you are ensuring that the individual is taken care
of. Sometimes delegation doesn t only just apply in dangerous situations like sexual assault, but
sometimes dangerous situations in a workplace environment. In the medical field, nurses often
delegate certain tasks within their team when a person is coding and may die. This helps the nurse
because he or she is not taking the sole responsibility to save a person s life. The Fact of the matter is

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Analysis
In 1941, president Franklin D. Roosevelt signed executive order 8802. Order 8802 prohibited
government contractors from engaging in employment discrimination based on race, color, or national
origin. This signed executive order was the first ever step to end employment discrimination.
Executive order 9981 signed by president Harry S. Truman in 1948, ordered the desegregation of
individuals within the armed forces. The document required the equality of treatment and opportunity
within the military without regard to color, race, and national origin.
In 1961, president John F. Kennedy signed executive order 10925, prohibiting federal government
contractors from discrimination on account of race. It was at this time that previous presidential ...

The time has come for Congress to correct the defects in its own legislation. The promises of equal job
opportunity made in 1964 must [now] be made realities... This was the report that accompanied the
bill.
The amendment resulted in the EEOC having litigation authority. Educational institutes are subject to
Title VII (protecting woman and minorities in the field of education), state and local government are
no longer exempt form Title VII, federal government is also subjected to Title VII. The number of
employers covered under Title VII are increased by reducing the number of employees. Charging
parties now have a longer time to file a charge. As a result, the president, rather than the EEOC
chairman selects the general council.

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a primary disease of the
myocardium (the muscle of the heart) in which a portion of the myocardium ishypertrophied
(thickened) without any obvious cause. It is perhaps best known as a leading cause of sudden cardiac
death in young athletes.[7] The occurrence of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a significant cause of
sudden unexpected cardiac death in any age group and as a cause of disabling cardiac symptoms.
Younger people are likely to have a more severe form of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. HCM is
frequently asymptomatic until sudden cardiac death, and for this reason some suggest routinely

With this limited sort of resection the residual mid septal bulge still redirects flow posteriorly: SAM
persists because flow still gets behind the mitral valve. It is only when the deeper portion of the septal
bulge is resected that flow is redirected anteriorly away from the mitral valve, abolishing SAM.[3][40]
With this in mind, a modification of the Morrow myectomy termed extended myectomy, mobilization
and partial excision of the papillary muscles has become the excision of choice.[3][18][19][41] In
selected patients with particularly large redundant mitral valves, anterior leaflet plication may be
added to complete separation of the mitral valve and outflow.[41][42] Complications of septal
myectomy surgery include possible death, arrhythmias, infection, incessant bleeding, septal
perforation/defect, stroke.[24] Alcohol septal ablation [edit] Alcohol septal ablation, introduced by
Ulrich Sigwart in 1994, is a percutaneous technique that involves injection of alcohol into one or more
septal branches of the left anterior descending artery. This is a technique with results similar to the
surgical septal myectomy procedure

Racial Profiling and Male African Americans
Racial Profiling and Male African Americans
Racial profiling has been and will continue to be a problem in the United States. Many believe that
racial profiling is more prevalent in today s society; however, this issue has been a part of our society
since slavery. Moreover, African American males are mostly the targets of racial profiling, especially
in larger cities like New York City and Los Angeles. Racial profiling is becoming a huge problem
within the police departments. Police officers are conducting more traffic stops on African Americans
males than on any other racial group, for the reason that many police officers believe African
Americans males are most likely to be engaged in some sort of criminal activity. Thus, racial ... Show

The principle of law enforcement and the principle of equality among African American males make
this issue even more difficult to analyze (Persico, 2002).
According to Delores (2007), although, many things in policing have changed as far as policies goes,
many things will remain the same. Changes to the police policy were to improve the image of police
in certain communities, and impact citizens in a positive way through trust and satisfaction. However,
Delores (2007) states, officers perceive African American males as people who are capable of
wrongdoing even though a crime has yet to be committed. In addition, in noncriminal or minimal
criminal activities police view male African Americans as the most dangerous. Police officers
developed ways to recognize certain kind of people, as emblematic assailants, meaning, police
recognize the gesture, attire, language of a person, which is then perceive as a prelude to violence.
However, sometimes officers make mistakes and innocent citizens like African American males end
up paying the ultimate price. In 1998, four African American males name Keyshon Moore, Rayshawn
Brown, LeRoy Jarmaine Grant and Danny Reyes all fell victims to racial profiling. The four victims

Free Weights vs. Machines Weights Essay examples
Free Weights vs. Machines Weights
People have enjoyed working out for a long time. The going to the gym and working out trend is
gaining popularity every year. Right now working out is the rage. Health clubs are getting built and
remolded. There is still one question that the average working out Joe wants an answer for. Which is
better? Free weights or machine weights? Does it really matter?
When a person works out with free weights it is necessary for him to have a spotter (a person to watch
him in case he fails to lift the desired weight). The only time one could work out without a spotter is if
he/she is lifting extremely light/weights. Even this could be dangerous. No one I know recommends

There is not one exercise that a person of larger size cannot do. All free weight equipment is open,
while machine equipment is in closed. Both machines and free weight benches can be adjusted to get
the proper angle one desires. There are two exercises that can only truly be done using free weights
and that is the parallel squat and power clean. There are a few weight machines that try to mimic the
squat but there is really no substitute. The squat is the king of all exercise. It builds thigh and hip
development and strengthens the lower back. It also strengthens all the tiny stabilizer muscles in the
body. The power clean is a full body exercise that strengthens and builds all the major muscles in the
body like shoulder, back, legs, and arms. There is a downfall of free weights. One has to pick them up
and return them to the tree (rack) after they are completed in their exercise routine. Using free
weights, a person will achieve greater mass than he would if he did the same exercise using machine
equipment. Free weights use the person s natural range of motion and strengthen their stabilizer
muscles. If one switches from machine weights to free weights they will notice that they will shake a
lot. Once that person becomes adjusted to the feel of free weights his stabilizer muscles will get
stronger and he/she won t shake as much if at all. An advantage of machine weight exercise is that
they give the ability to tone and allow a

This Blessed House Analysis
Performance in This Blessed House Jhumpa Lahiri s short story This Blessed House is one of many
stories in her Pulitzer Prize winning collection Interpreter of Maladies and follows a newlywed Indian
American couple, Sanjeev and Twinkle, settling into their first suburban home together. As Twinkle
begins to find and admire Christian objects scattered around the house, Sanjeev wants to throw them
all away, underscoring that Sanjeev deeply cares about how they will look if they display these
Christian symbols as Hindus, while Twinkle simply wants to have fun in presenting her discoveries.
More deeply rooted in the situation is that Sanjeev wants to look good in front of his coworkers; he
does not get along with Twinkle; and the house he is supposed to show off in an upcoming
housewarming party only troubles him with the Christian objects. Sanjeev s earlier phone calls with
his mother put these three variables of work, spouse, and home together as a formula, when she says
that because he has enough money in the bank, he needs a wife to look after and love, and that his
money is supposed to go toward raising a family (Lahiri 148). Sanjeev is taught to perform this role of
success, and despite it not making him truly happy, his continual pursuit of it emphasizes that he is
attempting to perform a fixed role that he does not fit into well. Sanjeev s actions and mentality in

Organizational Behavior And Organizational Behaviour
The above drawn figure shows about organisational behaviour. It highlights the bonding among
human behaviour in organizational settings, the individual organization interface, the organization, the
environment surrounding the organization. In an organization each and every individual brings its own
experience, managerial and effective skills.
Classical Organizational theory: Popovich (2010) said that in this theory, the concentration mainly
goes in how an organization can be structured in effective manner. These three are believed to be
major contributors of organization theory, Henri Fayol, Lyndall Urwick Max Weber. But they all given
same form of structure which was Bureaucratic. Organizational behaviour plays an integral role in
organization s progress, economic growth, and productive results .
Those people who work in organization, they are literally born in there educated in organizations.
They also learn and grab most of their material possessions from organizations and die as members of
organizations. Majority of our activities are regulated by organizations, called governments. Most
adults spend their better part of life working in organizations (Roberts, 2006).
Task no.1.1: Sum up the Leadership Theories: Definition of leadership leader , shows great influence
and bonding with its theories. It is an ability of leader how he influence a group towards the
achievement of a vision or set of goals. Leadership is also about coping with change. Leaders

Country Rock History
COUNTRY AND JAZZ IN ROCK
At the end of the 1960s, when Rock and Roll were at its prime, two musical genres that were
originally considered its influences re imagined themselves through Rock and Roll s prism Country
and Jazz musicians started to mix their music with Rock s relentless energy. The newfound genres,
called Country Rock and Jazz Rock respectively were accepted by the audience and critics alike,
having a major impact that is still traceable in today s music.
Musical genres can be often analyzed from two standpoints: the way the genre approaches musical
harmony and the genre s stylistics. There is Country with its rudimentary melodic approach, which in
a majority of times is merely a backdrop for stories that cover themes such as love, freedom, religion,
and, unsurprisingly, the aspects of life in the countryside. A major part of Country s aesthetics is
reached with the use of very few recognizable instruments, such as fiddles and banjos. On the other
hand, we have Jazz, whose most renowned contributors were quite often creating instrumental pieces
exclusively, praising structural and melodic complexity as their ultimate goals. Throughout its history,
Jazz was moving in all directions, experimenting with all sorts of instruments and musical
movements.

Mary Shelly s Elopement In Frankenstein
Mary Shelley s father, William Godwin, is also considered to be a monster . When Mary
Wollstonecraft, Mary Shelley s mother, passed away, Godwin was to take care of Mary. He, alongside
his second wife, Mary Jane Clairmont, decided that Mary Shelley did not an education. When Mary
Shelley ran away with Percy Shelley, a 21 year old man already married, her father strongly
disapproved. He disapproval continued and increased when the two eventually eloped in 1816.
Godwin had been horrified by Mary s elopement with Percy Shelley, and for two and a half years, he
had rigidly refused to see or correspond with her (Mellor). Even when Mary fell into a depression over
the death of her children, Godwin refused. Godwin s behavior tormented Mary, who ... Show more

Some consider Victor, the creature, society, the pursuit of knowledge and death to be monsters. Other
consider Mary Shelley s mother, Mary Wollstonecraft, and her father, William Godwin to be the actual
villains. Victor is a monster for creating the creature and subsequently abandoning it. Victor had an
infatuation with wanting to play God, most likely inspired by the many alchemists of the time. As
soon as the creature breathed his first breath, Victor hated and was disgusted by it. The creature never
was able to experience the love and affection he so deserved. It was because of this that the creature
did some negative actions. They were in response to feeling unloved. The creature can be considered
the monster because he kills William. He justified killing William by acknowledging that William had
taunted him and the creature only did it when realized that William was related to Victor, the man that
abandoned and made him feel ugly. Both Victor and William were apart of a society that was close
minded. They didn t appreciate anyone being different. When the creature made attempts to participate
in society, he was pushed away and forced to live in the outdoors. He was forced to learn the ways of
the world without the guidance of parents. Society is the monster for being shallow and unaccepting

Benefits Of Dissecting A Cat
1. Introduction: What is dissection? Dissection is the process of disassembling and observing
something to determine its internal structure and as an aid to discerning the functions and relationships
of its components (Dissection). The term is most often used concerning the dissection of plants and
animals, including humans. Comparative anatomy is the investigation of similitudes and contrasts in
the life structures of various species. It is firmly identified with transformative science and phylogeny.
Comparative anatomy has gradually and long been utilized as evidence for evolution; it indicates that
various organisms share a common ancestor. Dissection of cats in an anatomy class is a common
occurrence and believed to be a great learning mechanism for students. Schools and education systems
utilize the availability of a cat because they are vertebrates and include a great amount of similarity in
structures as humans, as students learn the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Advantages of
dissecting a cat include a sensory factor that a visual study is unable to provide. A fact of being a
human is that a great many people recall things they can touch or work on accomplishing more than
they recollect data that they examined. By analyzing a creature in individual and touching it, the
material encounters can give a general, better learning background that may help them in future
classes if science or medical sciences will be examined. I hold the belief that the

c. Costs – Operating Expenses of $110,000 per month
d. Competition price and offerings analysis – For month to month membership pricing, price ranges
between $29.95 (LA Fitness) to $49.95 (Lifetime Fitness) with differing enrollment rates. PG s no
money down rate of $39.95 is lower than all current competitors except LA Fitness. PG s $32.95 / $75

$26.95 / $125 enrollment is the lowest monthly rate. For membership contract plans, PG s one year
prepaid rate equates to $32.95 per month, which is lower than both Bally s ($39.95) and Curves

Macbeth Trust Quotes
Trust can build or destroy relationships between people. Similar to glass, once a relationship is broken
by distrust it can never be put perfectly back together. In both Shakespeare s Macbeth and The Social
Network directed by David Fincher, trust is seen as a negative trait. Many characters put their trust in
the protagonists, Macbeth and Mark Zuckerburg, only to be betrayed in return. Both Macbeth and
Mark betray their significant other, those of a higher authority and their best friend. Firstly, Macbeth
and Mark are involved in a romantic relationship that their ego destroys. Clearly, their thoughts are
warped by the competition to be exclusive or superior. In Macbeth, his partner in crime Lady Macbeth
trusts that he will share the benefits he reaps as King with her. However, Macbeth grows too oblivious
to care about his diseased wife. Macbeth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Ancient Mythology through Generations
Ancient Mythology has always been a very fascinating subject throughout many generations. Whether
it was stories of star crossed lovers, good versus evil, or the wrath of the gods these tales have always
had a way of captivating their audiences. One of the most prominent stories was about Odysseus, a
war hero who longed to return to his wife Queen Penelope after many years away fighting in the
Trojan War. He loved his queen very much and the fact they could not be together tore him apart.
When he returned from a long voyage at sea, he had to prove his love for his queen. Another major
tale was that of King Agamemnon, who was also fighting in the Trojan War and wanted to see his wife
Clytemnestra. However, when he returned Agamemnon might have found himself in a position that he
shouldn t have returned home to. Both of these stories tell tales about the epic war for the city of Troy,
however the fate of these two great leaders was vastly different when they returned home. The Trojan
War began when the Trojan Prince Paris stole the heart of Helen, the wife of King Menelaus of Sparta,
and the two of them returned back to try to be married. Menelaus was not going to take this act of
disrespect, and demanded that somebody pay the price for such a devious crime. Agamemnon was the
brother of Menelaus and the two of them formed an alliance against the people and leaders of Troy.
When the dust settled many familiar faces were dead including Achilles, Ajax, and Paris. King

Anorexi A Call For Help
Anorexia: A Call for Help Many people are not sure what it means to have or be around someone who
has Anorexia Nervosa. Anorexia is one of the leading causes of death in young women, and a
crippling mental illness that can potentially ruin a person s life (Kranz and Maloney 8). About one in
250 girls has suffered with some type of eating disorder at a point in their lives. This disease is taking
over the lives of many young women, and we need to help stop it. Anorexia, which comes from the

Some of the reasons are physical abuse, mental abuse, low self esteem, genetics, and hormones. When
a child is younger, almost everything has an impression on her even if she does not think it will. For
example, if a teenager was hit a lot when she was younger, it can lead to anorexia or bulimia or even
something worse. Physical abuse can often times trigger a young person to be unhappy with his or her
body and want to change it drastically. However, it has not been proven that it can cause an eating
disorder. Another possible cause for eating disorders can be mental abuse. Mental abuse can be caused
from something tragic that recently happened in the person s life, such as a divorce or a parent s dying.
Low self esteem is another highly responsible cause for eating disorders. Low self esteem can be
brought on by a number of things. Some people with anorexia may have previously been a compulsive
eater or even overweight at one point in their life (Kranz and Maloney 52). These types of things can
sometimes cause a person to feel as though his or her body is not good enough and they need to fix it.
Some people also believe that an eating disorder can belong in someone s genes. Certain eating
disorder may in fact be traced back to other family members who once suffered from them or similar
disorders. Other aspects play a role in eating disorders

Risk Assessment Of A Health Or Social Care Setting
P3 To carry out a risk assessment in a health or social care setting
For P3, I am going to carry out a risk assessment that will describe what risks can be faced to the 12
residents who suffer from Down s syndrome as I will be cooking a Christmas dinner with them for
their family.
In this part, I am going to talk about the elder people in the residential care home that are cooking a
Christmas dinner for their families. In this, I am going to identify the hazards that might occur and
how to resolve them.
Hazard: Anything that has the probability or may cause harm (what could go wrong).
Likelihood: The chance of harm occurring as a result of exposure to a hazard.
Consequence: The level of harm that may occur as a result of exposure to or contact with a hazard.
Risk: Risk is the chance high or low that an event/hazard will occur or may prevent the Trust from
achieving its objectives.
A risk assessment is a plan put in place to reduce the risk of harm occurring, it aims to identify
potential risks to the health, safety or security of a care practitioner. Risk assessments have to be held
under the health and safety at work act and Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999. Five
steps to risk assessment can be followed to ensure that your risk assessment is carried out correctly,
these five steps are:
1. Identify the hazards
2. Decide who might be harmed and how
3. Evaluate the risks and decide on control measures
4. Record your findings and implement them
5. Review

Compare And Contrast Fission Vs Nuclear Fusion
Fission Vs Fusion In life, energy is an indispensable part of human life. Energy comes from a variety
of sources, such as from the sun, wind, water, and nuclear power. Nuclear energy is a new form of
energy. The nuclear energy have two different types, that is nuclear fission, and nuclear fusion.
Nuclear fission had been found in a long time before, but nuclear fusion is something new to this
world. If I have money, I will chose to fundraiser for the nuclear fusion. Nuclear fission basically is an
atomic decay. This is a process of the atomic nuclei divided into two or more smaller nuclei and
several products. Base on that, people used this process to create nuclear power plants and nuclear
weapons. The advantage of the nuclear fission

Supreme Court Decisions That Affected The Civil Rights...
Supreme Court is a big part of our lives. Decisions that the Supreme Court has made are sometimes
gut turning and makes people upset. They can be very disrespectful and only think about their selves.
Some major Supreme Court decisions that impacted the civil rights movement are: Plessy vs
Ferguson, Brown vs Board of Education, and Loving vs Virginia. On June 7, 1892, 30 year old Homer
Plessy was jailed for sitting in the white race car of the East Louisiana Railroad. Plessy could easily
pass for white, but under Louisiana law, he was considered black despite his light colored skin and
therefore required to sit in the colored race car. He was a Creole of Color, a term used to refer to black
persons in New Orleans who traced some of their ancestors to the French, Spanish, and Caribbean
settlers of Louisiana before it became part of the United States. When Louisiana passed the Separate
Car Act, legally segregating common carriers in 1892, a black civil rights organization decided to
challenge the law in the courts. Plessy purposely sat in the white section and identified himself as
black and he was harassed because of it. He was arrested and the case went all the way to the United
States Supreme Court. Plessy s lawyer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Supply chain management system Manages the flow of goods, services, and information among
organizations.
Benefits of the Information Systems
The De Vinyl Record Store can benefit immensely from these proposed information systems by:
1. Automatically organizing vital information
2. Saving time and money
3. Satisfying customers
4. Keeping track of the fundamental information
5. The information will be accurate
Information systems are used to save valuable time and money by eliminating the bulk of manual
labor. These will also provide many options from communicating with both the employees and the
customers to the elimination of many tedious inaccurate processes.
Drawbacks of the Information Systems

Affects the environment
Information systems are very costly for the initial set up, which must be updated and maintained
periodically. A backup file of the information is required in case the system crashes, and the data
cannot easily be retrieved. If incorrect information is put into the system it can cause an inaccuracy in
the data and may need manual assistance to correct. With enhanced technology, many overlapping
jobs can be eliminated because a large portion of the workforce is no longer needed. The surrounding
environment may be compromised because of the way these have been manufactured.

As predicted by HR, the first man to make our list without ever playing in purple is Baltimore Colts
Defensive End, number 89 Gino The Giant Marchetti. I never got to see Gino play live. He retired

The Judiciary And The Federal Budget
Poorly crafted statues almost always require future revision, sometimes in another moment of crisis.
This type of law making tends to increase the power of executive agencies as well as the courts.
Because the judiciary is forced to clarify legislation, to rule on its details and apply legislation to
uncertain situations, vague legislation ends up allocating substantial power to the judiciary. Imprecise
and open ended statues often increase to power of executive agencies, too. Such agencies are given
broad mandates without much guidance or oversight.
Decades ago, the US Congress would assign specific priorities and focuses to federal agencies when
approving the yearly federal budget. This guidance is especially important because the legislature
exerts little other control over independent agencies, like the Federal Trade Commission or the Federal
Communications Commission. Now, because the federal budget is so often approved during crisis
conditions (and sometimes merely extends the previous year s budget into the next), Congress offers
little guidance to independent agencies. This enhances the power of independent agencies while
leaving them without guidance. Unger s preferred mode of organizing politics would entail a
substantial increase to the last minute compromises and revisions that cause such confusion.
The courts, too, will be called upon to specify legislative details, meaning, and reach of legislation.
Many scholars in the legal realism camp

Statement of Purpose for Software Skills

tales that could create wonders from imagination.
I am, an undergraduate in Computer Science, from a village in Kerala, India. My story of affection to
work with computer and software started from my childhood. The complexities and the wonders
inside a computer box attracted me towards it. There is a specific reason to say so. When I kid, I

myself working with something else. I painted a young guy(myself) with blue shirt sitting in front of a
computer and thinking sophisticated ideas. My drawing skills weren t strong enough to win that
competition, But the moment I realized how much I wanted to be creative with a computer skills.

Multitasking Myths
The multitasking myth
Multitasking is when you are doing multiple things simultaneously, for example writing an essay or
watching television while answering a phone call. The term multitasking is from a computer context.
The computer is able to run multiple applications or taps simultaneously. On the other hand, the
human body is not made for multitasking, but we do it anyway.
We live in a society where multitasking has become a big part of our life. Nowadays, it is possible to
have the television on, while writing an essay on your computer and checking your phone constantly.
The multitasking also seems a lot faster and more effective than doing just one thing at a time.
Because multitasking has become such a big deal, many scientists have studied the outcome of
multitasking and if it is a powerful or ineffective thing to do.
A research funded by the company Hewlett Packard discovered a shocking fact about multitasking.
Their research showed that when you are distracted by for example, a phone call or an email your IQ
suffers a fall more than twice than found in marijuana smokers and this threatens the work
environment. Because of our new technology, we use every day, it will be hard to change our
multitasking behavior. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Essay about Mistaken Identity for Twelfth Night
Mistaken Identity William Shakespeare, in his well known comedy Twelfth Night, creates a plot that
revolves around mistaken identity and deception. Mistaken identity, along with disguises, rules the
play and affects the lives of several of the characters. Shakespeare s techniques involve mistaken
identity to bring humor, mystery, and complication to the play. Many characters in Twelfth Night
assume disguises, beginning with Viola who is disguised as a eunuch, Maria who writes a letter to
Malvolio as Olivia, and then the mix up between Sebastian and Viola are revealed. The instances of
mistaken identity are related to many disguises in the play. Viola, who puts on male attire, begins to

Maria and the conspirators decide to mislead Malvolio into thinking that Olivia is in love with him.
Maria decides to lead him on by writing a letter, but means to be from Olivia. This love letter is meant
to instruct Malvolio to do actions that Olivia despises. Maria is able to mislead Malvolio because she
has the same print and seal as Olivia. Shakespeare is able to trick the characters and create many
portrayals of them. The mistaken identity in this play is related to the prevalence of disguises in the
play as Viola s male clothing leads to her being mistaken for her brother Sebastian. Sebastian is
mistaken for Viola (or rather, Cesario) by Sir Andrew and Sir Toby, and then by Olivia, who quickly
marries him. Meanwhile, Antonio mistakes Viola for Sebastian and thinks that his friend has betrayed
him when Viola claims not to know him. While Viola is in a sword fight against Sir Andrew, Antonio
is trying to be a loyal friend by taking the place of Viola, who he thinks is Sebastian. Antonio is not
liked by Orsino s court, so he is then arrested and taken away. While this is happening, Antonio asks
Viola for his purse back, which he gives to Sebastian. Viola becomes extremely confused and claimed
not having his purse and being a close friend of his. Antonio takes this as deception and thinks that
Sebastian, who is really Viola, is a coward. These cases of mistaken identity, common in

Freakonomics Chapter 1 Summary
Freakonomics discusses odd questions that relate together. These were weird to consider at first. After
reading the text and seeing what the relationships these odd questions have in common, it is very
interesting. Unfortunately, most of the practices that the chapters refer to are not how God intended for
us to behave and live.
In the first Chapter of Freakonomics, it discusses what Schoolteachers and Sumo Wrestlers have in
common. The thing that they have in common is cheating. I never knew that sumo wrestlers could
cheat. I guess they could if they wanted to throw a win. Shocking though, is that is exactly what they
do. They lose on purpose. They lie. One of the very Ten Commandments that we are to follow every
day states that we are not to lie. Ironically enough, so do some schoolteachers cheat to have their
teaching abilities look a lot better. They change the grades that their students get on tests to ... Show

I couldn t figure it out, but the answer is as simple as having knowledge of information that others do
not know. Real Estate agents can be schemers when it comes to the knowledge of the real estate
market. They have a pretty good idea of how much a house will be worth. They will try to talk clients
into selling their houses at a lower price in order to make money quicker by having a quicker
turnaround time. The findings even showed that agents would keep their house on the market of an
average of 3 weeks longer than a non real estate agents house (Levitt Dubner, 2005). Real estate
agents will also make a house sound better by specific terms that they use when listing it. They try to
make it sound better than it is, but other real estate agents know what they mean. The consumers and
sellers do not know. This is deceiving and not how God wants people to behave when they are
supposed to be helping others. Just as 1 Corinthians 6:8 9

Descriptive Essay On Being A Walker
Sometimes the best things in life come with a warning sign or in my case a will bite sign. When i

headed out, as i skimmed through the pictures of all the new dogs i couldn t help but be drawn to the
picture of a beautiful labrador with the most sorrowful eyes. I had a feeling of worry that took over me
and i scurried over to her gate. Much to my surprise there were no volunteers in her cage which was
bizarre because volunteers loved meeting and playing with the new dogs. She was in the corner of her
cage trembling with her head hanging low,i felt my heart break into a million pieces. I reached over to

Rabbit, Run by John Updike
Rabbit, Run by John Updike is a novel about a young man named Harry Rabbit Angstrom who leaves
his pregnant wife and young child and begins a journey to find happiness and freedom. He gets
involved with a prostitute and stays with her until his wife has their baby girl. While he is away from
his wife he is counseled by Reverend Eccles who tries to help Rabbit s situation, although it does not
do much good. After the new baby is born Rabbit leaves his wife again to go back with Ruth, the
woman he was with before. While he is away the second time, his wife drinks too much and
accidentally drowns their newborn. In the end, Rabbit runs away from both his family and Ruth. In his
article Rabbit Angstrom as a Religious Sufferer Lewis Lawson explores Rabbit s journey and how it is
relatable to religion and spirituality. He goes through the novel and finds examples that prove his
point. These examples illustrate Rabbit s connection and struggle with religion and to his own identity.
His main goal is to highlight Rabbit s struggle with being religious in a world which is not a religious
one but believes that it is.
Lawson begins his argument by speaking on Rabbit s relationship with his past successes, especially
with basketball. He explains that Rabbit has an ontological connection with basketball. His abilities in
the game represent, for him, a reassurance of being. Lawson gives the example in the beginning of the
novel where Rabbit joins the basketball game. This

Mark Clayton s A Whole Lot Of Cheating
Cheating for many is simply a way of life. For others it is a sin in which they would never think to
commit. For students in todays world they are stuck in the middle. Many students see cheating as the
only way of passing a class. Where other students see as it as a last resort. No matter what side
students are on, cheating is wrong, but even though it is wrong and extremely risky millions of
students around the nation do it on a daily basis just to get by. Cheating is exactly what Mark Clayton
talks about in the article tittle, A Whole Lot of Cheatin Going On. The word that is most often
associated with cheating is plagiarism. A word that makes students like myself cringe at the thought.
The reason being if caught in this act of despair it can simply ruin your life, your academic life that is.
Throughout the article Mark Clayton makes many good points about cheating, but because of his lack
of opinions it takes a little more reading between the lines to find out his position on the touchy
subject. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Clayton says Whether copying another students homework, cheating on a test, or plagiarizing an

mainly due to the fact that indeed technology and a students imagination are both prime suspects when
talking about cheating, but what also needs to be taken into accounts is simply the students mindset
and their motivation. Lets face it in todays world with the internet and endless amount of resources
there is simply no reason to cheat on a paper or an exam. An argument can be made that the growth of
resources has only made it easier to cheat for many students. For many college students the one thing
that keeps them from cheating and motivated is the thought of hoisting that diploma high in the air and
knowing in knowing in their heart and minds that they did it all on their

In class we learned about how Triton is the only major moon orbiting backwards in our solar system.
Due to the motion of the tides, Triton s orbit is spiraling in towards Neptune, so that Triton s semi
major axis is continuously decreasing. The moon Proteus semi major axis is continuously increasing at
a much smaller rate. The expansion of the disturbing function leads to the problem that a small inner
satellite can be strongly disturbed by Triton. The disturbing function is a method of calculating
perturbations to an objects elliptical orbit by calculating the acceleration caused by the gravitational
force of another body. Classical direct expansion is referred to an arbitrary plane, not an orbital plane
and through algorithms derived in Ellis and Murray. The algorithms were changed due to the
retrograde motion of Triton and based on the different numbers a new disturbing function was created
for arbitrary inclination. Testing was done with current inclinations of the inner satellites of Neptune;
however, assumptions were made due to the fact that the inclinations are very small. The future
dynamics of the Neptune Triton system may originate a possible 3:1 mean motion resonance involving

Primary Sources Of Law Essay
There are four primary sources of American law that establish rights, duties, and privileges that are
consistent with the values and beliefs of a society or its ruling group (Miller, 2014). One of the oldest
sources of primary law is the U.S. Constitution, which was ratified by delegates from 12 states on
September 17, 1787 (The Constitution of the United States, 2015). The document has stood the test of
time and been a model for many other nations with its emphasis on a strong government with
maximum human freedom while avoiding tyranny (The Constitution of the United States, 2015).

Case law is one area of the law that is constantly developing and changing in reaction to changing
perceptions and further court rulings that may supersede previous case laws (Legal dictionary case
law, 2015). Stare Decisis is a common law doctrine based on practicing law by referencing former
decisions or cases (Miller, 2014).
Chapter 1: Question 2 A legal precedent is a court decision that becomes a reference of authority to
deciding future cases involving similar scenarios (Miller, 2014). Precedents are set when the judicial
system interprets a principle of law as it applies to a particular set of facts; when similar facts are
present in future cases, the courts will adhere to the previous decision in the original case as the basis
for ruling in the same fashion. Lower courts are subject to precedents and cannot overrule. A
precedent can by overruled by the Supreme Court when historical conditions change or the philosophy
of the court undergoes a major shift (Legal dictionary precedent, 2015). An often used example in this
instance is the Brown vs. Board of Education, 347 U.S. 483, 74 S. Ct. 686, 98 L. Ed. 873 (1954), in
which the Supreme Court repudiated the separate but equal doctrine of Plessy v. Ferguson, 163 U.S.

Younger people are likely to have a more severe form of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. With this limited sort of resection the residual mid septal bulge still redirects flow posteriorly: SAM persists because flow still gets behind the mitral valve. It is only when the deeper portion of the septal bulge is resected that flow is redirected anteriorly away from the mitral valve, abolishing SAM.[3][40] With this in mind, a modification of the Morrow myectomy termed extended myectomy, mobilization and partial excision of the papillary muscles has become the excision of choice.[3][18][19][41] In selected patients with particularly large redundant mitral valves, anterior leaflet plication may be added to complete separation of the mitral valve and outflow.[41][42] Complications of septal myectomy surgery include possible death, arrhythmias, infection, incessant bleeding, septal perforation/defect, stroke.[24] Alcohol septal ablation [edit] Alcohol septal ablation, introduced by Ulrich Sigwart in 1994, is a percutaneous technique that involves injection of alcohol into one or more septal branches of the left anterior descending artery. Changes to the police policy were to improve the image of police in certain communities, and impact citizens in a positive way through trust and satisfaction. However, Delores (2007) states, officers perceive African American males as people who are capable of wrongdoing even though a crime has yet to be committed. In addition, in noncriminal or minimal criminal activities police view male African Americans as the most dangerous. Police officers developed ways to recognize certain kind of people, as emblematic assailants, meaning, police recognize the gesture, attire, language of a person, which is then perceive as a prelude to violence. However, sometimes officers make mistakes and innocent citizens like African American males end up paying the ultimate price. The going to the gym and working out trend is gaining popularity every year. Right now working out is the rage. Health clubs are getting built and remolded. There is still one question that the average working out Joe wants an answer for. Which is better? Free weights or machine weights? Does it really matter? When a person works out with free weights it is necessary for him to have a spotter (a person to watch him in case he fails to lift the desired weight). The only time one could work out without a spotter is if he/she is lifting extremely light/weights. Even this could be dangerous. No one I know recommends lifting free weights ... Both machines and free weight benches can be adjusted to get the proper angle one desires. There are two exercises that can only truly be done using free weights and that is the parallel squat and power clean. There are a few weight machines that try to mimic the squat but there is really no substitute. The squat is the king of all exercise. It builds thigh and hip development and strengthens the lower back. It also strengthens all the tiny stabilizer muscles in the body. The power clean is a full body exercise that strengthens and builds all the major muscles in the body like shoulder, back, legs, and arms. There is a downfall of free weights. One has to pick them up and return them to the tree (rack) after they are completed in their exercise routine. Using free weights, a person will achieve greater mass than he would if he did the same exercise using machine equipment. Free weights use the person s natural range of motion and strengthen their stabilizer muscles. If one switches from machine weights to free weights they will notice that they will shake a lot. Once that person becomes adjusted to the feel of free weights his stabilizer muscles will get stronger and he/she won t shake as much if at all. An advantage of machine weight exercise is that they give the ability to tone and allow a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This Blessed House Analysis Performance in This Blessed House Jhumpa Lahiri s short story This Blessed House is one of many stories in her Pulitzer Prize winning collection Interpreter of Maladies and follows a newlywed Indian American couple, Sanjeev and Twinkle, settling into their first suburban home together. As Twinkle begins to find and admire Christian objects scattered around the house, Sanjeev wants to throw them all away, underscoring that Sanjeev deeply cares about how they will look if they display these Christian symbols as Hindus, while Twinkle simply wants to have fun in presenting her discoveries. More deeply rooted in the situation is that Sanjeev wants to look good in front of his coworkers; he does not get along with Twinkle; and the house he is supposed to show off in an upcoming housewarming party only troubles him with the Christian objects. Sanjeev s earlier phone calls with his mother put these three variables of work, spouse, and home together as a formula, when she says that because he has enough money in the bank, he needs a wife to look after and love, and that his money is supposed to go toward raising a family (Lahiri 148). Sanjeev is taught to perform this role of success, and despite it not making him truly happy, his continual pursuit of it emphasizes that he is attempting to perform a fixed role that he does not fit into well. The newfound genres, called Country Rock and Jazz Rock respectively were accepted by the audience and critics alike, having a major impact that is still traceable in today s music. There is Country with its rudimentary melodic approach, which in a majority of times is merely a backdrop for stories that cover themes such as love, freedom, religion, and, unsurprisingly, the aspects of life in the countryside. A major part of Country s aesthetics is reached with the use of very few recognizable instruments, such as fiddles and banjos. Dissection is the process of disassembling and observing something to determine its internal structure and as an aid to discerning the functions and relationships of its components (Dissection). The term is most often used concerning the dissection of plants and animals, including humans. Comparative anatomy is the investigation of similitudes and contrasts in the life structures of various species. It is firmly identified with transformative science and phylogeny. Comparative anatomy has gradually and long been utilized as evidence for evolution; it indicates that various organisms share a common ancestor. Dissection of cats in an anatomy class is a common occurrence and believed to be a great learning mechanism for students. Schools and education systems utilize the availability of a cat because they are vertebrates and include a great amount of similarity in structures as humans, as students learn the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Advantages of dissecting a cat include a sensory factor that a visual study is unable to provide. Whether it was stories of star crossed lovers, good versus evil, or the wrath of the gods these tales have always had a way of captivating their audiences. One of the most prominent stories was about Odysseus, a war hero who longed to return to his wife Queen Penelope after many years away fighting in the Trojan War. He loved his queen very much and the fact they could not be together tore him apart. When he returned from a long voyage at sea, he had to prove his love for his queen. Another major tale was that of King Agamemnon, who was also fighting in the Trojan War and wanted to see his wife Clytemnestra. However, when he returned Agamemnon might have found himself in a position that he shouldn t have returned home to. Both of these stories tell tales about the epic war for the city of Troy, however the fate of these two great leaders was vastly different when they returned home. The Trojan War began when the Trojan Prince Paris stole the heart of Helen, the wife of King Menelaus of Sparta, and the two of them returned back to try to be married. Menelaus was not going to take this act of disrespect, and demanded that somebody pay the price for such a devious crime. • 29. The Judiciary And The Federal Budget Poorly crafted statues almost always require future revision, sometimes in another moment of crisis. This type of law making tends to increase the power of executive agencies as well as the courts. Because the judiciary is forced to clarify legislation, to rule on its details and apply legislation to uncertain situations, vague legislation ends up allocating substantial power to the judiciary. Imprecise and open ended statues often increase to power of executive agencies, too. Such agencies are given broad mandates without much guidance or oversight. Decades ago, the US Congress would assign specific priorities and focuses to federal agencies when approving the yearly federal budget. This guidance is especially important because the legislature exerts little other control over independent agencies, like the Federal Trade Commission or the Federal Communications Commission. Now, because the federal budget is so often approved during crisis conditions (and sometimes merely extends the previous year s budget into the next), Congress offers little guidance to independent agencies. This enhances the power of independent agencies while leaving them without guidance. Unger s preferred mode of organizing politics would entail a substantial increase to the last minute compromises and revisions that cause such confusion. The courts, too, will be called upon to specify legislative details, meaning, and reach of legislation. Many scholars in the legal realism camp ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For me, the tool for adding life to my imaginations is Software Skills. It is the most comfortable medium I could find in the course of my life to portray my imaginations to the canvas of reality. The magic of computer that deceived my thoughts was too strong, so that I couldn t imagine myself working with something else. • 32. Multitasking Myths The multitasking myth Multitasking is when you are doing multiple things simultaneously, for example writing an essay or watching television while answering a phone call. The term multitasking is from a computer context. The computer is able to run multiple applications or taps simultaneously. On the other hand, the human body is not made for multitasking, but we do it anyway. We live in a society where multitasking has become a big part of our life. Nowadays, it is possible to have the television on, while writing an essay on your computer and checking your phone constantly. The multitasking also seems a lot faster and more effective than doing just one thing at a time. Because multitasking has become such a big deal, many scientists have studied the outcome of multitasking and if it is a powerful or ineffective thing to do. A research funded by the company Hewlett Packard discovered a shocking fact about multitasking. Their research showed that when you are distracted by for example, a phone call or an email your IQ suffers a fall more than twice than found in marijuana smokers and this threatens the work environment. Essay about Mistaken Identity for Twelfth Night Mistaken Identity William Shakespeare, in his well known comedy Twelfth Night, creates a plot that revolves around mistaken identity and deception. Mistaken identity, along with disguises, rules the play and affects the lives of several of the characters. Shakespeare s techniques involve mistaken identity to bring humor, mystery, and complication to the play. Many characters in Twelfth Night assume disguises, beginning with Viola who is disguised as a eunuch, Maria who writes a letter to Malvolio as Olivia, and then the mix up between Sebastian and Viola are revealed. The instances of mistaken identity are related to many disguises in the play. Viola, who puts on male attire, begins to have everyone believe that she is a man. By ... Maria decides to lead him on by writing a letter, but means to be from Olivia. This love letter is meant to instruct Malvolio to do actions that Olivia despises. Maria is able to mislead Malvolio because she has the same print and seal as Olivia. Shakespeare is able to trick the characters and create many portrayals of them. The mistaken identity in this play is related to the prevalence of disguises in the play as Viola s male clothing leads to her being mistaken for her brother Sebastian. Sebastian is mistaken for Viola (or rather, Cesario) by Sir Andrew and Sir Toby, and then by Olivia, who quickly marries him. Meanwhile, Antonio mistakes Viola for Sebastian and thinks that his friend has betrayed him when Viola claims not to know him. While Viola is in a sword fight against Sir Andrew, Antonio is trying to be a loyal friend by taking the place of Viola, who he thinks is Sebastian. Antonio is not liked by Orsino s court, so he is then arrested and taken away. While this is happening, Antonio asks Viola for his purse back, which he gives to Sebastian. Viola becomes extremely confused and claimed not having his purse and being a close friend of his. Antonio takes this as deception and thinks that Sebastian, who is really Viola, is a coward. Unfortunately, most of the practices that the chapters refer to are not how God intended for us to behave and live. In the first Chapter of Freakonomics, it discusses what Schoolteachers and Sumo Wrestlers have in common. The thing that they have in common is cheating. I never knew that sumo wrestlers could cheat. I guess they could if they wanted to throw a win. Shocking though, is that is exactly what they do. They lose on purpose. They lie. During my shift ten dogs had arrived and been placed on the floor. It was now time for me to do my part. • 37. Rabbit, Run by John Updike Rabbit, Run by John Updike is a novel about a young man named Harry Rabbit Angstrom who leaves his pregnant wife and young child and begins a journey to find happiness and freedom. He gets involved with a prostitute and stays with her until his wife has their baby girl. While he is away from his wife he is counseled by Reverend Eccles who tries to help Rabbit s situation, although it does not do much good. After the new baby is born Rabbit leaves his wife again to go back with Ruth, the woman he was with before. While he is away the second time, his wife drinks too much and accidentally drowns their newborn. In the end, Rabbit runs away from both his family and Ruth. In his article Rabbit Angstrom as a Religious Sufferer Lewis Lawson explores Rabbit s journey and how it is relatable to religion and spirituality. He goes through the novel and finds examples that prove his point. These examples illustrate Rabbit s connection and struggle with religion and to his own identity. His main goal is to highlight Rabbit s struggle with being religious in a world which is not a religious one but believes that it is. Lawson begins his argument by speaking on Rabbit s relationship with his past successes, especially with basketball. He explains that Rabbit has an ontological connection with basketball. His abilities in the game represent, for him, a reassurance of being. Lawson gives the example in the beginning of the novel where Rabbit joins the basketball game. This ... For students in todays world they are stuck in the middle. Many students see cheating as the only way of passing a class. Where other students see as it as a last resort. No matter what side students are on, cheating is wrong, but even though it is wrong and extremely risky millions of students around the nation do it on a daily basis just to get by. Cheating is exactly what Mark Clayton talks about in the article tittle, A Whole Lot of Cheatin Going On. The word that is most often associated with cheating is plagiarism. A word that makes students like myself cringe at the thought. The reason being if caught in this act of despair it can simply ruin your life, your academic life that is. Lets face it in todays world with the internet and endless amount of resources there is simply no reason to cheat on a paper or an exam. An argument can be made that the growth of resources has only made it easier to cheat for many students. In class we learned about how Triton is the only major moon orbiting backwards in our solar system. Due to the motion of the tides, Triton s orbit is spiraling in towards Neptune, so that Triton s semi major axis is continuously decreasing. The moon Proteus semi major axis is continuously increasing at a much smaller rate. The expansion of the disturbing function leads to the problem that a small inner satellite can be strongly disturbed by Triton. The disturbing function is a method of calculating perturbations to an objects elliptical orbit by calculating the acceleration caused by the gravitational force of another body. Classical direct expansion is referred to an arbitrary plane, not an orbital plane and through algorithms derived in Ellis and Murray. The algorithms were changed due to the retrograde motion of Triton and based on the different numbers a new disturbing function was created for arbitrary inclination. Testing was done with current inclinations of the inner satellites of Neptune; however, assumptions were made due to the fact that the inclinations are very small. The future dynamics of the Neptune Triton system may originate a possible 3:1 mean motion resonance involving Triton and Proteus (Yokoyama, Nascimento and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of the oldest sources of primary law is the U.S. Constitution, which was ratified by delegates from 12 states on September 17, 1787 (The Constitution of the United States, 2015). The document has stood the test of time and been a model for many other nations with its emphasis on a strong government with maximum human freedom while avoiding tyranny (The Constitution of the United States, 2015). Case law is one area of the law that is constantly developing and changing in reaction to changing perceptions and further court rulings that may supersede previous case laws (Legal dictionary case law, 2015). Stare Decisis is a common law doctrine based on practicing law by referencing former decisions or cases (Miller, 2014). Chapter 1: Question 2 A legal precedent is a court decision that becomes a reference of authority to deciding future cases involving similar scenarios (Miller, 2014). Precedents are set when the judicial system interprets a principle of law as it applies to a particular set of facts; when similar facts are present in future cases, the courts will adhere to the previous decision in the original case as the basis for ruling in the same fashion. Lower courts are subject to precedents and cannot overrule. A precedent can by overruled by the Supreme Court when historical conditions change or the philosophy of the court undergoes a major shift (Legal dictionary precedent, 2015).
