Michael Sam s statement is true and sports played a very big role in bringing the help and
attention to the campus to try and put a stop to the racism that was going on. Not only should
football players not go through this but normal students as well. Students should not have to pay
thousands of dollars for an education to get treated any kind of way. The football team makes
millions of dollars every year for the university and the players don t get paid. Most of the
African American football players have been awarded a scholarship and work hard every day to
maintain the scholarship they have earned, so they shouldn t have to face racism and got through
some of the things they went through. In my opinion I would not send my child to the university
of Missouri because of the conflicts and because people just ignore the conflicts on campus. If I
were a parent I would want my child to be in a safe environment and I would want to know that
my child is getting what I paid for. In my opinion it shouldn t have taken the University of Missouri

Carl Sandburg, A Zealot for Chicago
Carl Sandburg was a three time Pulitzer prize winning poet, writer, and editor. As he was growing
up, Sandburg s family struggled with poverty, which engendered him to drop out of school early
in his teens to help contribute to his financially strained family. Sandburg was convinced by a man
that served with him during the Spanish American war, that he should attend Lombard College;
Sandburg took his advice and completed four years at Lombard. After getting his education he
moved to Chicago and obtained a job from Chicago Daily News, as an editorial writer. Sandburg s
works emulated his literary influence, Walt Whitman; both poets wrote in free verse. In 1914,
Sandburg published his poem Chicago then two years later, integrated the poem along with various
other poems relating to the city, and titled it Chicago Poems.
In the poem Chicago, Sandburg commences his poem by naming various titles such as Hog
Butcher for the World, Tool Maker, Stacker of Wheat, Player with Railroads, and the Nation s

Awakened to the Psychological Concepts Portrayed in Film The film Awakenings is an emotional
film that tells the story of a doctor, named Dr. Malcolm Sayer played by Robin Williams, who
starts work at a chronic hospital in the Bronx during the late 1960 s. As he examines patients at
the hospital though he comes to observe a good many of them are experiencing the same
symptoms of a being in a catatonic and unresponsive state yet still having the ability to react to
certain stimuli. One patient in particular, named Leonard Lowe played by Robert De Niro,
catches Sayer s attention and he decides to administer a new drug known as L Dopa in hopes of
saving him from his coma like state. The drugs works and soon all of the once statuesque patients
are reanimated, but only for a short time, and sadly soon Leonard and the rest of his fellow patients
regress to their original catatonic state. However, although this films proves to be deeply emotional

rated bond I chose in my valuation, yielding a 3.13% to maturity. As the remaining two bonds are
BB and CCC, both have noticeably high yield to maturity percentages. In my observation, As the
bond credit rating decreases, the yield to maturity percentage increases. The higher the yield, the
more likely it is that the firm issuing the bondis not of high quality.(High/low yield bonds, 2006)
Coupon rate and the yield to maturity determine trade at a discount, premium, par.
Pertaining to the bonds in my valuation, the coupon rates and yield to maturity is established in
such a way to influence bond perception. Premium sale of bonds are due to the coupon rate being
established above the prevailing interest rate. Investors bid up the price in order to receive the
benefit of a higher coupon rate. In a result, as the coupon rate attracts investors they are more
willing to pay a premium for the bond. Once the bond matures, the investor will have received the
stated coupon rate, but because of the increased initial payment for the bond the yield to maturity is
lower over the life of the bond (Premium bond, 2003).

practices already at capacity there is no room to handle the current and future demand for these
services. With an aging population new cancer cases are expected to increase by 34 % in five

As with cancer and orthopedics there will be a large increase in demand for cardiovascular
services in the next five years. As obesity increase there will be an increase in high blood
pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes which will lead to an increase in cardiovascular services.
A risk would be not securing the funding to add the additional cath labs, surgical suites, and
cardiac rehab program. Without these services the hospitals will not be able accommodate the
growth. Another risk is recruiting enough qualified physicians to provide care to the growing

oncologists and two radiation oncologists has expressed interest in an affiliation to develop a
