Outline
Food packaging is how to keep food during life
time. A package provides protection, tampering
resistance, and special physical, chemical, or
biological needs. and also keep our food away
from contamination. It may bear a nutrition facts
label and other information about food being
offered for sale.

the environmental impact of food packaging
Activity (6)
One purpose of food packaging is to protect
foods from physical damage .
Some materials and package designs are better
than others is providing protection .

Final Project:
Polystyrene material
Final Project:
Polystyrene material
• Introduction and Rationale
Polystyrene foam foodservice products are a convenient
lightweight non-toxic and a very affordable way to make our
on-the-go lifestyles more delicious and a little less messy.
Polystyrene keep our food fresh, cold and ready to eat so we
can enjoy food the way it's meant to taste, and it also has
many other benefits.
• Objective
1-keep cold food for long hours, for example during checkout
trips.
2- Illustrate the importance of polystyrene in food preservation.
3- introduce the intelligence of polystyrene in making our life
more easy
Polystyrene material
Hypothesis
• The polystyrene material to isolate the heat from
foods keeping food cold for long period.
Polystyrene material
Methods and Materials
Materials:
- Polystyrene
- a portfolio of plastic
Methods:
1- cutting Polystyrene material into parts for
easy use.
2- Packaging plastic clipboard by polystyrene.
Polystyrene material
Results
polystyrene insulation heat and maintain cold
foods for external heat and thus retain their
properties.
Recommendations
• We recommend the development of our idea
in real product used in the markets.
• We recommend using polystyrene in keeping
cold foods.
Polystyrene material
Conclusions
. A package provides protection, tampering
resistance, and keeping special physical,
chemical, or biological needs .
we are making this projects to Illustrate the
importance of polystyrene in food
preservation by packaging food with
polystyrene based materials
