I finally decided to add a website link underneath the masthead, most magazines have a website link somewhere on there front page, I chose to put it underneath my masthead because when the reader looks at the masthead they would then see the website.

cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and

First and second draft of my front cover
- 3. From looking at the first draft, you can see that I’ve structured everything, so that when actually creating my front cover, I'll know where to place everything. As you can see, I've planned that the masthead would go at the very top of the page and that the main image would be enlarged too the size of the whole page. This is because magazine front covers are usually like this, with writing spread around it. I would like to include conventions such as: an exclusive and a lure, this would attract the audience to read on in the magazine, as these conventions would interest the reader to read on.
- 5. My front cover is almost set out the way I had planned it from my first draft, other than I didn’t include the lure that I said I would include. I do feel that I should have included it, as the left side of the page look very empty, which perhaps doesn’t make it look like a real magazine front cover. However, I do like how the colours that I used for the texts all go well together, and is set out well. It was important for me to include the barcode, as that it’s where the price would be scanned from, and all products that are sold need one.
- 6. Feedback from Karen: I think that your Front cover is presented really well, as the masthead is placed in a good place and looks realistic. I can see that you put a good lot of time creating it, as the font matches the genre of your magazine, and you added a nice effect of the outer glow that goes well altogether. Also, I think that the text and font altogether is set out really well, as the colours all match and it does look eye catchy. However, I would say that it would be goo if you use m more space on the left of your front cover. I think that it would be a good idea for you to create a banner at the bottom of the page, as you would be adding more conventions, and if you use the right colour and choose the right style it’ll look really good.
