 State bank of India is an Indian multinational, public
sector banking and financial service company. It is a
Government owned corporation with its headquarters in
Mumbai, Maharashtra.
 It had assets Rs 20.480 trillion and more than 14,000
branches, including 191 foreign offices spread across 36
countries, making it the largest banking and financial
services company in India by assets.
 The company is ranked 232nd on the fortune global 500
list of the worlds biggest corporations as of 2016.
 Started as bank of Calcutta in Calcutta on June 1806.
 Re-designed as the bank of Bengal on 2nd January
1809.
 It was the first joint-stock bank of British India.
 Later on Bank of Madras, Bank of Bombay and Bank
of Bengal were amalgamated to form Imperial bank of
India on 27 January 1991.
 It was nationalized on 1955 and was renamed as state
Bank of India.

 SBI General Insurance Company Limited is a joint venture
between the State Bank of India and Insurance Australia
Group (IAG). SBI owns 74% of the total capital and IAG the
remaining 26%
 The current policy offering of SBI General covers Motor,
Health, Personal Accident, Travel & Home Insurance for
Individuals and Fire.
Car insurance:-
 The maximum amount payable under this Policy is Rs
50,000/- during the Policy period. Each claim is subject
to a deductible of Rs 5000/- for Laptop and Jewelleries
and Rs 2500/- for Mobiles and Rs 500/- for the rest.
 Insured vehicle is not more than 2 years
 The motor insurance provides compulsory personal
accident cover of Rs. 2 lakhs for individual owners
Bike insurance:-
SBI General's Two Wheeler Package Policy provides
compulsory personal accident cover of Rs. 1 lakh for
individual owners (holding a valid driving license) of the
vehicle while driving. This is not applicable for a Company
owned vehicle.
 Wide Coverage – From Rs.50,000 up to Rs.500,000
 No medical test up to the age of 45 for people with no medical
history
 Free Medical check-up for every 4 claim free years up to a
maximum limit of Rs.2,500
 Medical Treatment with Room, Board & Nursing Expenses &
Service Charges etc.Up to 1% of the Sum Insured per day
 Medical Treatment in Intensive Care Unit
 Up to 2% of the Sum Insured per day
 All admissible claims under 1 & 2 during the policy period Up to
25% of the SI per illness/injury per claim
 Consultants & Specialists Fees
 Up to 40% of the SI per illness/injury per claim.
 Anaesthesia, Blood, Oxygen, OT Charges, Surgical Appliances
 Up to 40% of the SI per illness/injury per claim.
 Medical Expenses including Evacuation &
Repatriation 50,000 to 5,00,000
 Personal Accident 10% of Limit of cover
under Section (A) subject to maximum
25,000.

  • 2.  State bank of India is an Indian multinational, public sector banking and financial service company. It is a Government owned corporation with its headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra.  It had assets Rs 20.480 trillion and more than 14,000 branches, including 191 foreign offices spread across 36 countries, making it the largest banking and financial services company in India by assets.  The company is ranked 232nd on the fortune global 500 list of the worlds biggest corporations as of 2016.
  • 3.  Started as bank of Calcutta in Calcutta on June 1806.  Re-designed as the bank of Bengal on 2nd January 1809.  It was the first joint-stock bank of British India.  Later on Bank of Madras, Bank of Bombay and Bank of Bengal were amalgamated to form Imperial bank of India on 27 January 1991.  It was nationalized on 1955 and was renamed as state Bank of India.

  • 8.  SBI General Insurance Company Limited is a joint venture between the State Bank of India and Insurance Australia Group (IAG). SBI owns 74% of the total capital and IAG the remaining 26%  The current policy offering of SBI General covers Motor, Health, Personal Accident, Travel & Home Insurance for Individuals and Fire.
  • 9. Car insurance:-  The maximum amount payable under this Policy is Rs 50,000/- during the Policy period. Each claim is subject to a deductible of Rs 5000/- for Laptop and Jewelleries and Rs 2500/- for Mobiles and Rs 500/- for the rest.  Insured vehicle is not more than 2 years  The motor insurance provides compulsory personal accident cover of Rs. 2 lakhs for individual owners Bike insurance:- SBI General's Two Wheeler Package Policy provides compulsory personal accident cover of Rs. 1 lakh for individual owners (holding a valid driving license) of the vehicle while driving. This is not applicable for a Company owned vehicle.
  • 10.  Wide Coverage – From Rs.50,000 up to Rs.500,000  No medical test up to the age of 45 for people with no medical history  Free Medical check-up for every 4 claim free years up to a maximum limit of Rs.2,500  Medical Treatment with Room, Board & Nursing Expenses & Service Charges etc.Up to 1% of the Sum Insured per day  Medical Treatment in Intensive Care Unit  Up to 2% of the Sum Insured per day  All admissible claims under 1 & 2 during the policy period Up to 25% of the SI per illness/injury per claim  Consultants & Specialists Fees  Up to 40% of the SI per illness/injury per claim.  Anaesthesia, Blood, Oxygen, OT Charges, Surgical Appliances  Up to 40% of the SI per illness/injury per claim.
  • 11.  Medical Expenses including Evacuation & Repatriation 50,000 to 5,00,000  Personal Accident 10% of Limit of cover under Section (A) subject to maximum 25,000. HOME insurance:-  you can buy the Policy upto a period of 30years  In-built coverage for earthquake

  • 16.  SBI life insurance is a joint venture life insurance company between , State Bank of India (SBI), the largest state owned banking and financial services company in India, and BNP Paribas is a French multinational Bank and financial services company with global headquarter in Paris.  SBI owns 74% of the total capital and BNP Paribas Cardiff the remaining 26% of the capital.  SBI life insurance has an authorized capital of Rs 20 billion and a paid of capital of Rs 10 billion
