1. Identify the different educational philosophy.
2. Observe how teacher educational philosophy affects teaching-learning process.
3. Develop your own educational philosophy.
Discussion:
Your philosophy of education is your “window” to the world and “compass” in life. It is reflected in your dealings with students, colleagues, parents and administrators. It is also your attitude towards problems and life as whole. It is important that you make explicit your philosophy of education because your philosophy is your own thought and formulation, It is best to state it in the concrete not in the abstract like a theory because this is your blue print to daily life.

Discussion:
Preparing to become teachers must have three kinds of knowledge before they can manage effectively the complexities of teaching: knowledge of self, knowledge of students and knowledge of subject.
Knowledge of Self. Teachers who are knowledgeable about their needs are better able to help their students. A teacher‟s self-understanding and self- acceptance are prerequisites for helping students to know and accept themselves.
Knowledge of Students. Student characteristics such as their aptitudes, talents, learning styles, stage of development, and their readiness to learn new material are among the essential knowledge teachers must have. “To teach a kid well you have to know a kid well.”
Knowledge of Subject. With the title of teacher comes an assumption of knowledge. Teachers who have extensive knowledge of their subjects are better equipped to help their students learn.

- A traditional responsibility of the teacher is to pass on information, knowledge and understanding of the contents of the study. This information can be delivered using various teaching methods.
The role model
- A teacher should exemplify what should be learned. They should be models not only as they teach but as they perform their duties.
The facilitator
- As we move to the learner- centered view of learning the role of the teacher is changing to that of a facilitator of learning. Teachers are no longer viewed as „walking tape recorders‟ teachers must therefore hone theirs skill of facilitation and mentorship as they support the problem – based learning and the learner‟s ability to source for information.

According to Lardizabal, et al. (1991), classroom management includes operation and control of activities. Such details as seating, attendance, use of instructional materials, classroom courtesies, and discipline require foresight and planning. A well-managed class is conducive to mental growth and development. Learning becomes interesting and enjoyable under favorable working conditions.
