What have I learned from audience feedback?

Feedback received for my magazine advert on Blogger and focus groups
in class led to changes in layout (shifting, grouping and prioritising lines in
order to distinguish more clearly „puffs‟ from venue info; centring the title),
the addition of institutional information: an iTunes logo and font size (to
separate visually the blocks of text).

My original designs evolved during feedback from
Facebook where I posted 2 options for comment. Most
criticism concerned the lines obscuring the image of the
front man, so I shrunk the text, justifying to the left and
altering the order of tracks, to ensure audiences could
see the image properly, of key importance to selling the
brand.
Music video
Comments that changed the music video while it was in production were all
received verbally from friends and peers, these included comments on colour
correction and shots/what shots to use. After finishing the video, I posted it on
various pages on facebook and the feedback I received was 100% positive.
Half way through production, I also posted a “teaser trailer” on facebook which
also received 100% positive feedback.
Music video
One comment I received from peers was that the music video had a good “grungy” feel. Because
this was obviously something that people liked in the video, I then colour corrected the video,
reducing the saturation on all shots and changing the colour balance, to heighten the grunge
element.

After finishing the video, I posted it on various pages on facebook and the feedback I received was 100% positive. Half way through production, I also posted a “teaser trailer” on facebook which also received 100% positive feedback.
  • 5. Music video One comment I received from peers was that the music video had a good “grungy” feel. Because this was obviously something that people liked in the video, I then colour corrected the video, reducing the saturation on all shots and changing the colour balance, to heighten the grunge element.
