Feedback of Final Edit

We have been given feedback sheets on
our Final Edit on what they thought
about Mise En Scene, Camera Work,
         Editing and Sound.
Group 1
Group 1 did not state whether it was clear that the opening sequence conventions
met or did not.

Mise En Scene - Good
Camera Work - Excellent
Editing - Good
Sound - Good

Our main strengths that they gave were that the continuity editing flowed very
well, there was a very good effect of dialogue, the sound gave the sequence
tension, the Camera Work was effective and it showed what went on clearly.
The weaknesses they described our opening sequence was that the sound muffled out
the dialogue so it was hard to hear at some points, but apart from that everything was
good.
Group 2
This group also did not state whether the opening sequences
conventions were met or not.

Mise En Scene – Good
Camera Work – Excellent
Editing – Good
Sound – OK
The strengths they had given were that the editing and camera work
was very good, acting was good, majority of the title placements were
good and the font matched the theme of the film.
The weaknesses they had given were that the colour of the titles
sometimes clashed with the background and the dialogue was difficult
to understand.
Group 3
Again, Group 3 did not comment on if we met the conventions of the
opening sequence.
Mise En Scene – Excellent
Camera Work – Excellent
Editing – Good
Sound – Good

The strengths they had given were that it looked professional, we
made a good use of Mise En Scene and the film overall creates a lot of
tension to relate to the theme of a thriller.

The only weakness they had given was that the music could have been
a lot more effective.
Group 4
They said that it was clear it is an opening sequence and it met the
conventions.

Mise En Scene – Good
Camera Work – Good
Editing – Excellent
Sound – Good
The strengths we had been given were that the opening sequence was
very good, especially the distribution company, the editing was good
as the colour effects on the screens of the flashes of light and it was
clear what was happening overall in the film.
The weaknesses they gave were that the voice over was not very clear
and the editing could have been more effective to make it look better.
Conclusion
Overall our group was delighted with our feedback, especially to
acknowledge that we only got one OK and the rest were either Good
or Excellent. It was a bit on the downside to see why we got an
OK, because we thought we could of easily done better on that
point, but we still thought the dialogue was acceptable.

We thought that the strengths we had been given were very good as
we were happy to here that we made our film look professional and it
looked like a thriller.
After all our feedback we will be sure to make better productions in
the future, as from our feedback we can learn what we need to
improve and what strengths we are good at. Especially our camera
work and effects.
