1. LOOKING BACK AT YOUR PRELIMINARY
TASK WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE
LEARNT IN THE PROGRESSION FROM
IT TO THE FINAL PRODUCT?
Evaluation Question 7
2. Planning
• From looking back at our P-task we didn’t really put much
effort into the research and planning stage of the of the
task this was mainly due to not being able to come up
with any ideas to what we could film at first and when we
did it was more of a last minute thing that we throw
together. So for the final opening we did a lot more
research and planning before we started to even think
about touching the camera’s. which when you compare
both videos the opening is a lot better than the P-task.
3. Audio
• The main problem with our P-task was the audio because
we used the microphone on the Nikon D5300 which when
we played it back it didn’t sound good at all and because
of there was a big echo in the room that we filmed in so
when listening to the audio you sometimes cant
understand what the characters are saying because there
voice is repeating itself over there next sentence. Due to
this we had to do a voice over which made the editing
process longer as we had to sync up the audio with the
movement of the characters when we did this something
happened with the audio and the voice over made the
sound a lot deeper than what it would actually sound like
so we learned that we should use a good quality
microphone in the filming stage.
4. Camera settings
• When filming the P-task we used auto focus and when the
auto focus occurs it would make a loud droning sound
that would take over the audio of the footage so when
filming for the opening we set the camera to manual
setting which took away that sound and actually made it
easier to film some of the fast zoom in’s and out’s.
