Planning
 Before I started to produce my fanzine I had to plan each of my pages for it
thoroughly to ensure that it could be done to the best possible standard. To start
my planning I first made a mind map of ideas of what my fanzine should be about.
Moving on from my mind map I decided to create a mood board to give people an
idea of what was going to be included in my fanzine/ what the colour scheme was
going to be. Once I finally set on a topic for my fanzine I then decided it would be
the best idea to start thinking about what to write about/put on each page of my
booklet via pagination. I then did my research on the 'Keeping up with the
Kardashians' Tv show as well as looking in depth to the main families personal lives
(e.g. Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie.
 Whilst doing my research I found out a lot of stuff about each member of the
family that aren't as heavily publisced as some of the negative things that the
family have done. For example all the charity work they like doing to help out
poorer communities/ people who are in need of support.
 I wanted to find out peoples differing opinions and views on the Kardashians so
that I could gather information and use real life. To do this I thought it would be a
good idea to create an online survey on survey monkey to ensure I got a wide and
varied response. As a result I discovered that about half of people regularly tend
to watch 'Keeping up with Kardashians' and like to follow the family and their
personal journeys that they go on. Whilst the other half weren't so keen on the
family and weren't as interested in their lives as others are. This goes to show that
not everyone has the same interests and opinions on a topic/subject and that the
Kardashians can be a fairly controversial subject as they have had a lot of bad
press and rumours about them over their time in the spotlight.
 However due to the fact that lots of people said that they did watch the TV show
and were fans of the family I thought it would be base to focus on the reality
television show itself rather than each members of the family individually as that
way would be a lot more time consuming as well as their being almost too much to
write about them as they all have such interesting and different lives.
Preparation
 The next step I took in my planning and preparation stage was that I had to
begin drafting my article. To do this I gathered a vast range of information
and facts about the well known television so as well as facts about the casts
that aren't as well known to people and began drafting up my article
Production
 When it came to production I wanted to show off the skills I had in photoshop
in order to make my fanzine look professional however I didn't want it to be
covered in pieces of different skills that I have learnt in photoshop over the
years as it would eventually end up looking crowded and messy my aim was to
have a nice balance between it looking simple and effective yet still showing
off some good photoshop skills.
 My originally intended colour scheme seemed to work relatively well with the
overall final look of my fanzine. The scheme I originally chose and decided to
stick too was a simple girly colour scheme due to the fact that my fanzine is
aimed at a more feminine audience due to my survey telling me that mostly
females were interested in the Kardashian family, of nudes/pinks/whites and
blacks to ensure that I didn’t overcomplicate it and risk colours clashing and
looking messy.
Skills
 Whilst creating my fanzine I used a range of different tools and
skills in order to make it look as professional as possible. Firstly
in order to create the images in the backgrounds of each of my
pages I had to collect some images of the Kardashian family and
use the magic wand tool to delete the white background that
was in the image. Next I went to image > Threshold and changed
the bar to the level I wanted my image to be faded out too. Once
I got the image to look how I wanted it to I then clicked on the
downbar just above the layers and changed the mode from
normal to multiply which gave it the fuzzed out dark effect so
that I blended in nicely with my background and as a result didn't
make it clash wit the text. On some of the images I used I also
thought that it would be aa good idea to fade it out slightly as I
didn't want it to be the main viewing point of my fanzine as I
wanted my text to be the main focal point. To do this I clicked on
the opacity level just above the layers and turned it down to
between 15-50% depending on the colour of the images and how
much I wanted it to be noticed. I felt this made my overall
fanzine look better as there wasn't as much going on each page
which could have made it confusing/ messy looking and instead
decided to add more subtle details here and there that still
required some skills to complete.
Content
 The content of my work I found to be relatively informative and interesting for
viewers to read. Originally I wanted my main focus to be about the Kardashian's
television show however when I began researching about the family and writing
the article I found that the entire backstory behind the Kardashian family was a
lot more interesting and not as well known than a lot of the other facts I found.
The area in which I focused a lot of my time on was before the family got majorly
famous with the OJ Simpson trial and Robert Kardashians involvement in this as
this is believed to be a major contributor as to why the family became so famous.
I also included a quickfire fact page about some of the members family so that you
can learn a bit more about each of them.
 The final bit of content I added was a family tree of the entire Kardashian/ Jenner
clan. I thought this would be a good idea due to the fact that there are so many
members involved in the family and so many children each member now has.
Time management
 Time management is very important when it comes to creating and producing
work. To make things simpler and easier for me in the long run I found that it
would be a good idea for me to create a time schedule so that I had a clear idea of
everything I had to complete as well as a vague idea of how long I've got to
complete each task. Despite the fact that I made a schedule to make sure I was
keeping on track with each of the tasks I needed to complete I feel that I was a bit
optimistic as I feel that I struggled to stay on schedule with all the production
work as I decided I wanted to slightly alter how I wanted my pages to look as they
didn't originally look as professional as I wanted them too.
 If I were to redo this task again I would make sure to allow myself either extra
time during my schedule to complete each of the tasks to a good standard or I
would allow for a contingency week so that I would be able to make any
altercations to my work if needs be in order to have it be produced to the highest
possible standard.
Areas for improvement
 When it comes to improvements there was one major area I felt I could've
improved upon, that being time management. When it came to the production
aspect of my work reflecting back I feel I was a bit optimistic as telling myself I
could get the pages done as quickly as stated in my time schedule. One of the
main reasons I feel I couldn't stick to this schedule was due to the fact that I
wasn't 100% set on my ideas and what I wanted my pages to look at and kept
altering how I wanted my final product to look. As a result of me changing my
mind on how I wanted the aesthetics of my finished product to look I was forced to
rush a few pages towards the end jut so I didn't run out of time and so I could
actually complete the work instead of only half finishing it.
 Another thing I could've improved upon was keeping track of where all my work
was stored/saved. As a result of not leaving myself a sufficient amount of time I
chose to also complete some pages of my fanzine on my laptop at home. However
doing this meant that I had work saved in two different places which in the long
run made it a lot more time consuming as I was constantly unsure where each
specific bit of work was stored and constantly had to email pieces back and forth
to myself.
